So glad they brought him back, would’ve been such a big fumble if they didn’t bring him back after how good he was in s3. Bethel is amazing in the role and dex is an awesome villain.

Originally he wasn't coming back. It was part of Marvel's c**** initiative to randomly recast and throw away the Netflix actors. Some were recast like Vanessa and others were shunned like Foggy and Karen. Im so thankful for the reset due to the writers strike. We probally wouldn't of had a season 2 without it.

They definitely avoided major disaster by doing the reset and leaning into the Netflix show and characters/actors and a more similar vibe to that show. What they were originally planning was really stupid

And yet, Marvel reworked the show
5
davidswinney Apr 7, 2026 +6
Ayelet Zurer portrayed Vanessa in the Netflix series and is portraying her in Born Again.
6
Apocalyptic0n3 Apr 8, 2026 +17
Sandrine Holt was going to portray her until the overhaul. But I think that was a scheduling conflict, not a "Disney is c****" issue
17
Worthyness Apr 8, 2026 +12
it was. Ayelet was filming a TV show at the same time as born again, but due to the strikes/Marvel delay mandate, she got time back in her schedule (because her show was cancelled).
12
ArchDucky Apr 8, 2026 +23
Vanessa was recast and then they digitally inserted Ayelet into Season 1 much later in the production. She even is lit wrong and a higher resolution than everyone else. Its f****** bizarre people don’t see it.

Most folks watch tv on their phones or while browsing their phones. They don’t notice because they literally aren’t paying attention

C**** initiative? They put way more money into the show than Netflix had.
-6
ArchDucky Apr 7, 2026 +13
I love how you didn’t read what I said, didn’t follow the extremely rocky production of Season 1 and think I’m wrong. F****** hilarious.

-SneakySnake- Apr 7, 2026 -15
>It was part of Marvel's **c**** initiative** to randomly recast and throw away the Netflix actors.  This is what you said. C****. Your word. Money wasn't the issue, it was the previous showrunner. If you can't tell that the Disney show had a much bigger budget to work with, given its much higher production value, I don't know what to tell you. Why are you being so aggressive?

background1077 Apr 8, 2026 +4
C**** doesn't inherently mean financial

-SneakySnake- Apr 8, 2026
Given they didn't bother to reply to what I said after being so snitty, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they meant.

The most fucked up thing in that whole scene is a guy ordering diner lobster

Peralton Apr 7, 2026 +74
"Did you just order lobster in a Diner?" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj-D0jc17D0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj-D0jc17D0)

That was great, thank you.

ArchDucky Apr 7, 2026 +28
The story on that skit is kinda funny. John Mulaney wrote the first one of those when he was a writer on SNL. Lorne Michaels said no. He pitched it a few times, Lorne kept saying no. Eventually he was brought on to host his own episode and he brought the original script with him and was like "I think I want to do this now that im the host" and it was a f****** smash. They have done like three or four of them at this point.

dating_derp Apr 7, 2026 +6
>They have done like three or four of them at this point. Do I just search John Mulaney SNL musical skits to find these? Or is it something more specific?

I loved the dog resting his head on the table. Lil dude could not give a f***.

Blueberry_H3AD Apr 8, 2026 +10
There’s no f****** way a Johnny Rockets type diner that serves burgers and milkshakes, also serves lobster. Bullseyes bullshit angle throws are more believable 😂
10
russketeer34 Apr 8, 2026 +20
Everything about Bullseye's abilities are complete bullshit angles, but I love it so much
20
Blueberry_H3AD Apr 8, 2026 +1
Oh same
1
Spagman_Aus Apr 8, 2026 +1
Yeah what's his deal, is he a mutant or does he just have some BS abilities that are never explained?
1
manquistador Apr 8, 2026 +6
Even with perfect accuracy the force needed to kill someone with a fork is pretty extreme. Reality is not a thing with his powers.
6
Urge_Reddit Apr 8, 2026 +4
I don't remember where I read it, but apparently he has a superpower that allows him to turn anything he throws (or spits I guess) into a deadly projectile. I'm not overly familiar with how he works in the comics, so I couldn't tell you if it's different there. There's usually a sound effect when he throws stuff, which I assume is meant to further emphasize that he's not just throwing stuff like a normal human.

comedoofwarrior Apr 9, 2026 +2
he also got a surgically enhanced spine at the end of DD S3
2
Urge_Reddit Apr 9, 2026 +1
That's true, I forgot to mention that.

Greek Diners in NYC are well known for their expansive menus. Def seen lobster on the menu before. It'll have freezer burn but they'll serve it to you
2
Blueberry_H3AD Apr 9, 2026 +1
They had a lobster tank at this diner.
1
ArchDucky Apr 7, 2026 +5
That lobster looked really f****** good though for diner food. Must be a NY thing.

typhoidtimmy Apr 7, 2026 +42
Well, I can relate. When you find a good milkshake, you gotta let people know.

IrvinIrvingIII Apr 7, 2026 +39
Do love we have one Marvel villain who is actually sadistic.

quete27 Apr 8, 2026 +29
Villain?, He's one of the good guys
29
Gmb1t Apr 9, 2026 +2
Muse was certainly up there

Howmanysloths Apr 7, 2026 +19
Honestly he’s why I’m watching born again
19
DefNotUnderrated Apr 8, 2026 +14
God, I love him. Total psychopath, not safe for anyone to be near, but he is just so perfectly cast and a lot of fun
14
lousmer Apr 8, 2026 +9
When this episode ended I said this show just got on the level w the original Netflix run. IMO anyway.

Fantastic-Rest-6097 Apr 7, 2026 +6
well tbh if someone calls me and tells me where the punisher is (that too with a gun), i am not going there anyways...its all on the avtf guys
6
iamskwerl Apr 8, 2026 +8
Best MCU villain. His “I’m one of the good guys” line was so f****** great, just smiling like a kid who got an A on a book report surrounded by cops with forks sticking out of their brains 😂

They seem to be making his costume more accurate as he continues. Just between Season 1 and Season 2 there have been a lot of improvements. He is even using his bullseye logo now on his mask.
17
russketeer34 Apr 8, 2026 +8
I do love the classic Bullseye looks, but this version does seem semi inspired by a more modern version of the costume https://ibb.co/N6tz8Qc

danhoyuen Apr 7, 2026 +6
I am super disappointed he didn't gather all the glass shards from the fish tank as its crumbling on him.
6
ArchDucky Apr 7, 2026 +4
Thats really close to the movie version and we really can't have that.
4
danhoyuen Apr 7, 2026 +8
that's the best part of the movie.

ArchDucky Apr 7, 2026
How long ago did you watch it because I think you might have rose colored glasses on.

Winter-Ad-6439 Apr 8, 2026 +6
Colin Farrell was good.

D3wdr0p Apr 8, 2026 +3
Bullseye did nothing wrong. He's innocent and adorable and just a little messed up. Please hug him. Babygirl.
3
Dopingponging Apr 8, 2026 +1
Okay. Stupid question. But does he have super powers, or is he just a really good shot?
1
ArchDucky Apr 9, 2026 +4
Its basically a super power. Hes also been augmented with Adamantium. You can hear his metal joints in this episode when he wakes up.
4
spiritbearr Apr 9, 2026 +2
Baring MCU changes like Kingpin's upgrade, it's just super training and natural ability like how Daredevil's powers are all from him training with Stick. That said just look at what Sam Wilson does in the MCU when he's a normal dude.

Tee-Jehy Apr 17, 2026 +1
Not a single Kitchen Nightmare's fan in this thread smh.

SupermarketEmpty789 Apr 8, 2026 -10
So this guys just magic now? I mean, throwing shit accurately is one thing. This is kind of silly.
-10
dragonmp93 Apr 8, 2026 +23
The main hero is a blind guy with supersenses from a chemical spill.
23
SupermarketEmpty789 Apr 8, 2026 -2
But this guy doesn't have super powers. He didn't get into a chemical spill or get radiation magic.
-2
DavyJonesRocker Apr 8, 2026 -4
Yeah, once he dove over the counter, he couldn't know where the other SWAT guys were standing. Surprised he didn't hit a diner by mistake. Guess he's more like Domino than Hawkeye now.

labria86 Apr 8, 2026 -40
Man this show sucks. We'd have been better off never bringing it back
-40
SparrowCrocodile Apr 8, 2026 +1
Not sure if you're trolling or not, but this scene certainly didn't do much for me. The ironic use of a song trope is real old.
1
labria86 Apr 8, 2026 -4
The scene sucks. The whole reboot sucks. Horrible dialogue. Horrible soft camera filtering. Horrible writing and CG filled action scenes like this one. It's embarrassing. Especially the sound effects of the forks. Like they're some ultra sharp ultra thin sword.
