This is probably the highest quality example in the thread. Solid acting and production values, plus it doesn’t really villainize or caricature anyone. Plus the musical number is iconic

Great movie that I'm not sure one could make these days. We had a lot of suspension of disbelief in those days haha...

OP if you meant antagonist in your title, then this one is great. If you did mean protagonist then this does not fit.

I saw this movie in theaters when I was in middle school and didn’t think about it again until you posted this comment. That’s how good it was.

Bit misleading when you say he doesn't reject her, I think the film fits the description enough

I liked the movie but it doesn't strike me as matching what OP is asking. A revenge fantasy on a deserted island is a bit different than a woman just obsessed and wanting a man to save/fix her.
