Tuesday is staying an *NCIS*\-branded night. Instead of *NCIS: Sydney, NCIS* at 8 PM and *NCIS: Origins* at 10 PM will be sandwiching a new spinoff, *NCIS: New York,* headlined by LL Cool J, reprising his *NCIS: LA* character Sam Hanna, and Scott Caan.
*NCIS: Sydney* will be back in midseason, taking over *Origins*‘ s*** as the NCIS prequel will have a reduced order for next season.
This is funny to me!

It’s weird that I didn’t expected NCIS: New York to be on the schedule, I thought that CBS only ordered 2 new dramas for 2026-27 TV Season..

Why the hell would you break up a comedy one two punch like Georgie and ghosts?

I get they want to push their new show, but pushing Ghosts to what seems to be midseason now is....a choice lol

Why not just order another comedy and do a two hour comedy block?

CBS cancelled “The Tillbrooks” after pilot screening just a week ago

Why did they only order 2 comedy pilots? Wouldn't it have been smarter to have more just in case?

More comedy? No, CBS could never do such a logical thing like that. More cop procedurals.

It's a bad choice. Whoever runs CBS comedy department is a complete moron. Even if they were going to break them up why not run Ghosts with Eternally Yours since they both have the same comedic tone? Stupid stupid stupid decisions. That in addition to just abandoning Monday's comedy hour when they had established the 8 o'clock s*** as a competitor with The Neighborhood. Makes you wonder what exactly is the goal in these moves? I should have known something was up when they didn't pick up the Malcolm and Marty spinoff. Then when they paired Neighborhood up with that failure DMV the writing was on the wall. When that pitiful show failed, the head of the scripted department say to hell with it and just put more stupid procedurals in the spot. smh Sorry for the rant but just hate everything about what these networks have done to comedy.

Einstein sounds really unoriginal, just another variation of High Potential, Elsbeth, and older shows like Psych and The Mentalist

It probably is but the only reason I'll likely tune in is only because I like Matthew Gray Gubler and Melissa Fumero. The actors they've cast as the leads solidifies me giving it a chance.
But apparently not until next year so....

I will probably give Cupertino a chance because of the Robert and Michelle King connection. Plus I enjoy corporate intrigue/drama. We'll see if it can recapture some Good Wife/Fight or Evil magic.

Paramount+ subscription is closest one to getting cut at my house. Pretty weak content and pushing out late night comedy for seemingly political reasons. You in danger Paramount+.

CBS sitcoms aren't what they used to be and the names don't jump out anymore.
It's like NBC sitcoms in the 2010s, you look at the fall 2010 lineup and it's stacked. You look at a Fall 2016 lineup and it's bare af.

Poppa's House and the Neighborhood spinoff lost to the DMV show who got nuked after a season. All these 1 season shows feel like writeoffs that networks love to do.

Poppa's House had the ratings. WAY better than DMV's out of The Neighborhood but they cancelled it anyway for no reason. I just checked both shows' weekly ratings. There was only one week where Poppa's House dipped a full rating point below Neighborhood which was the week of January 27th 2025. Every other week was right behind Neighborhood's rating except the week of March 3rd 2025 which was close but still not a full rating point below Neighborhood's rating. Meanwhile, this season DMV was way below Neighborhood's rating by more than a full point several weeks. When you track ratings like I do, you look at moves like cancelling Poppa's House and just wonder what the hell are they doing? Was there any way that show gets renewed or were they determined to cancel it no matter what?

I wish DMV got renewed. It got much better in the second half, but it was too late
