To our dear pro-war bots: Russia is still waging war on Ukraime and threatening to drop nukes at random This and all your BS mean Europe has no interest in starting a suicidal war with Iran

Yeah so does basically everyone else in the world. Biggest unforced error I’ve seen in a while

One nice thing about trumps idiocy is I am learning about the British government. I had to look up what position she holds.

Just for anyone else who is curious and doesn't want to Google it. Rachel Reeves is Chancellor of the Exchequer, which is the UK's chief finance minister, or the equivalent of the Secretary of the Treasury. It's generally seen as the 2nd most powerful position in the government after the Prime Minister, and it's very common for a Chancellor to go on to become Prime Minister - examples include Winston Churchill, Harold Macmillan, James Callaghan, John Major, Gordon Brown, and Rishi Sunak (though RR has stated she doesn't have any interest in the role). She's rightly pissed because Trump's temper tantrums have damaged the growth outlook for the UK and thus undermined her projected Budget figures (which while conservative did rely on some small amount of growth).

But she also wants to bring back austerity… Basically, let’s take it all out on the most vulnerable members of society…. While pretending she’s left wing.

Why? I thought the war was unpopular in the UK?

No, it’s her job and that’s some pretty weak language to describe what’s happened. Also she wants to use austerity to cope with the current economic crisis.

Retreat Rachel!  It's very sad folks, people have been saying this for years that Rachel wants NUKES for Iran, she's very soft on crime not good for the UK, can you believe it?

"Why aren't you helping us in this pointless war after we insulted your dead soldiers and threatened multiple times to invade Canada?"

Why do you say it’s pointless? Is there a different way to stop the IRGC, Hezbollah and Hamas?

I am sure that starting the war of Afghanistan on steroids will help How did it work out the first time?

Was there a better way to stop the Taliban? Because we spent twenty years, countless deaths, and a trillion dollars and they are still in power. We've been through this many times but the US doesn't seem to learn that  bombing countries into submission doesn't work very well. But we keep insisting that it is both necessary and the only option we have. It is so baffling how even conservatives are against being the world's police now and don't want more wars....unless it's the middle east and then you got to bomb that shit. Obviously. No way around it. Europe? Not our problem. Asia? Not ours. South america? Maybe some light kidnapping. Africa? Who cares?  That little section between Asia, Europe, and africa? Bomb it. Always bomb it. Don't stop bombing it. Bomb it til it stops hating us. Then a little more bombing. Wait a few years. Then what? You guessed it, more bombs.

Probably because we can't meaningfully degrade the Iranian military before the damage to ourselves and our allies is too great.  And if just killing the shit out of people indiscriminately was going to dismantle Hamas and Hezbollah, it probably would have done it by now.

As we all know, Chamberlain sanctionned Germany in every possible way.

She should be focusing on her dismal job regarding the UK economy instead. Per the left leaning Guardian (so no right wing bias here): ”Inflation is climbing towards 4%, while unemployment could hit the highest rate in more than a decade” “British growth had been lacklustre, with households and businesses mired under a cloud of tax speculation before Reeves’s budget last autumn” She needs to focus on her failing job before the UK gets downgraded even more than it currently is.

Well if anyone knows about mistakes it would get this particular British government.

Liberating people from tyranny is never a mistake. Letting tyranny survive is a mistake. A very deadly mistake.

Don’t see a whole lot of liberating going on here

You'll see it soon when Reza Pahlavi gives the signal for the Iranian people to resume their revolution.
