After watching Pushing Daisies, I asked the same question. Charismatic and funny.

He was amazing in Pushing Daisies too! I think he just got typecast as the "tough authority figure" after Boston Public and never really got chance to show his range. Plus timing is everything in Hollywood and maybe his peak years just didn't align with right projects

smh for real he had so much talent but kinda fell off the radar, weird times

He has 81 acting credits.
He probably just wants to be a character actor. Not everyone wants to be a superstar.

Why would you be judged for watching Boston Public?

Right? I loved that show.

Ha! Well I haven’t heard of anyone talking about that show and it’s a bit of a soap opera. But I do secretly love it.

It’s an excellent quality show, nobody talks about it because the distributor (Fox, now Disney) chose to let it disappear off the face of the earth. In fact, the same can be said for anything from David E. Kelley.

I was legit shocked to find Picket Fences and The Practice on Hulu.

I had forgotten about the show myself. I was watching Boston legal (David e. Kelley) and one of the judges reminded me of someone. I looked him up and realized he was the vice on Boston Public which I had last watched 20 years ago.
Both shows have a lot to offer for what it is worth.

He worked STEADILY after Boston Public, so I think people very much WERE paying attention.

Mitch, I want you to do a couple things for me. First, I want you to observe very closely your surroundings, today. Take everything in. Leave no stone unturned. Can you do that for me? Then, I want you to think about what your life would be like, if you had been born blind.

Maybe he didn’t want those kinds of roles and preferred steady support work. 10 years of Hawaii Five 0 pay plus residuals since it’s in syndication, not bad.

He’s one of those “oh hey, that guy!” actors. Not huge-name famous, but always solid. If you haven’t already, check him out in Pushing Daisies or Human Target.

I Robot, Gone in 60 seconds, and Cradle to the Grave just off the top of my head.

Edit : also you can tell he did not want to be there lol
