China expands economic pressure tools in US rivalry ahead of Trump–Xi summit
China is building new economic pressure tools against the United States. Beijing has enacted laws to punish foreign firms shifting supply chains. It has also tightened rare earth licensing and banned foreign AI chips. These actions signal a strategic move to counter U.S. measures. China aims to defend its interests and expand its influence.

I think that the Chinese government is holding back and taking full advantage of trump's "leadership". They can scale back some of their more aggressive policies to look rational in the current political environment. Donnie boy is a blessing to governments that have been somewhat restrained by credible leaders, not always good but credible. There are at least three governments fully using trump to either pursue their agendas or to take advantage of the loss of a more controlling outside government. No matter how many dimensions his minions think he is playing his chess game, trump is being easily be defeated by someone playing checkers.

China’s playing chess, Iran’s playing checkers and Trump’s playing around with underage girls.

It makes sense from their POV because even IF they're evil and want world domination (that I personally think it's not the case), in the current geopolitical climate being seen as a stable nation, even if not an ally, is still better than the deranged alternative the US offers

I am holding NVDA, sans big China going all in on blue China, I think they will be a good bet; now that is easy to say when you are up 3500%, so I am crossing my fingers!

For sure, China officials read the Art of the Deal to better understand their opponent. Sadly I'm pretty sure no US officials read at least the Art of War because I would not do this visit if I were them. If they believe they are going there to "discuss things" it's bad. They have much to lose on the global stage and little to gain from this...
