The more you look into manufacturing and even high-end goods, the more you realize that American manufacturing is just assembling overseas components.

Trump is going to add more tariffs, isn’t he?

He's going to say he'll add them, not do it, then do it, then take them away, then double them. Then go golfing. So, y'know a normal tuesday.

You left off the 2-3 instances of insider trading to personally profit from the volatility he creates by doing it.

The world has figured out Americans are suckers. And if they ever have any doubt, they just look at how the US king treat his subjects and still get worshiped like he's God.

Noone is trying to flex. They are discussing the cost of goods imported to the US from China, not discussing US energy prices. It's a warning to businesses that do large imports to prepare for increased material and shipping costs.

Uqe Mar 30, 2026 +14
Who the f*** is flexing? They're describing a reality of the war that US-Israel started. Nobody else wanted this. Nobody else is trying to suggest it's a good thing for anyone.

Where do you think half the shit you buy is made?

Mate, this is the reality it's not a flex. Bunkers prices have gone through the roof for container shipping, freight rates are ridiculous at the moment not to mention surcharges that carriers are imposing on shippers. With 1.5% of the worlds fleet being stuck inside the Persian Gulf, carriers will need to factor in port omissions, slow steaming or freight revisions to offset the idle fleet that's not in rotation. These costs will be passed on to the consignee which inturn is borne by the end consumer. This is affecting every country, everywhere.
