(From the article): "In Wsiconsin, Harry Wait said he set out to expose the potential for voter fraud. He ordered mail ballots in the names of others — and got charged with felonies." (The Washington Post misspelled Wisconsin in their subtitle.)

The fraud is coming from inside the party

It’s always projection with these people

Every example of voter fraud I’ve seen has been committed by republicans. The blatant hypocrisy is bordering on rage bait at this point.

I've seen a couple with Democrats but not as many as with MAGA. Like 98% MAGA. We still don't know what Musk did to the voting computers. What is the FBI doing with the seized voting records? Yet, somehow, we rigged an election when we weren't in power.

The party is a fraud

Perhaps the greatest unreported story in the history of this nation is that we’ve completely lost every single reputable press and media organization to right wing billionaires, many of which are foreign nationals, and the ones who aren’t are Christofascist white nationalists. LA Times - owned by a Chinese-South African who is known to cover up even innocuous stories to cover for his fellow billionaires. Which is why their [Executive Editor Kevin Merida stepped down](https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2024-01-09/kevin-merida-steps-down-los-angeles-times). The story by the way that Soon Shiong wanted covered up was small time shit about a buddy’s dog hitting someone, and not seriously. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/26/business/media/los-angeles-times-owner-editor-clash.html https://www.thewrap.com/los-angeles-times-billionaire-owner-meddled-in-reporting/ I’ve actually been involved with my partner as the sources for a [front page LA Times article](https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-06-21/la-me-wagmor-dog-rescue) that ended up covering up all the serious malfeasances by the time it was published. The Baltimore Sun, one of the top tier GOAT investigative outfits on par with the Washington Post is now owned by the right wing chairman of Sinclair. Yes, [that Sinclair](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/show/viral-video-raises-worry-over-sinclairs-political-messaging-inside-local-news). Washington Post is obv Bezos. NY Times has a who’s who of terrible people on their board of directors including the CFO of Beast Industries (Mr Beast’s company), ~60%++ is owned by the following financial firms: Linonia Partnership LP 12.87% (they purchased was 8% the month before in February) Vanguard Group Inc 9.71% Blackrock Inc. 9.27% T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc. 6.50% Darsana Capital Partners, LP 4.75% AQR Capital Management, LLC 3.87% Wellington Management Group, LLP 3.23% Berkshire Hathaway, Inc 3.14% State Street Corporation 3.12% Geode Capital Management, LLC 2.43% Farallon Capital Management LLC. 2.04% I’ll let you go through the head of Linonia’s follows on Twitter to see what his politics are… https://x.com/philipuhde But nobody has even reported that a Trump-aligned private equity fund just bought near 13% of The New York Times in two stock purchases the past two months. They also took a $250 million loan that likely saved the paper from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim in 2009. USA Today/Gannett aligned with Trump and say out endorsing a candidate in 2024 after endorsing Biden and Hillary. They know bend the knee with Kramer and Reed kowtowing to Trump. They own about a bajillion outlets besides USA Today. The co-founder of Alden Global Capital that owns Tribune (Chicago Tribune, Sun Sentinel, Orlando Sentinel, etc…), Randal Smith, donated to Trump’s victory fund John W Henry who owns the Boston Globe and Fenway Sports Group (Red Sox, Liverpool, etc…) [donated over $5 million to Trump thru FSG in 2020](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-director-backed-donald-trump-19329308.amp) even though they were traditionally supportive of liberal candidates in the past. Of course the Wall Street Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch. As far as I can tell, the Chicago Sun-Times is one of the few traditional news outlets that isn’t owned by right wing billionaires or financial firms or tied to support of Trump. Now CNN and CBS will be owned by Ellison. Fox News is of course Murdoch. MS Now is of course owned by Versant that was split off from Comcast. NBC Universal is owned by Comcast. And ABC is owned by Disney. The American Free Press is dead. The Fourth Estate is dead in America. And the other three (branches of government) are all controlled by MAGA (and MAGA aligned) Republicans. But who’s going to tell the American people?

NPR is still doing good work.

Area51_Spurs Mar 25, 2026 +3
Trump just shut down the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in January by cutting their funding. And they then passed a lot of that onto NPR and PBS. So we’ll soon see how many local NPR stations have to shut down and what effect it and other cuts will have on our public broadcasting. The administration is actively working to put NPR out of business, along with PBS, so NPR may not be doing good work for long. Though hopefully they are. They cut back $9 billion for public media including $1.1 Billion that led to the corporation for public broadcasting shutting down.

Oh i am bitterly aware. At least in the northeast where I am they replaced the federal funding already. I have hope.

A lot of rural stations will fold.

Didn't see Reuters in your list
8
Area51_Spurs Mar 25, 2026 +16
Reuters and AP are wire services. Reuters is a British wire service/news agency, now owned by a Canadian company. It’s not American. AP is an American not-for-profit wire service/news agency. Both provide news for other outlets. You don’t buy a Reuters or AP paper and Reuters now has a paywall. These right wing American news organizations can just not buy Reuters and AP stories if they want to push a narrative. You can see Reuters here is ranked pretty low on monthly visits, right below Drudge Report. AP as well has less than half the visits of Fox News and a fifth the visits of the NY Times. Reuters has less than half the visits of AP. CNN is second between NYT and FOX. https://pressgazette.co.uk/media-audience-and-business-data/media_metrics/most-popular-websites-news-us-monthly-3/ Reuters is also down 41% YoY on visits from Feb ‘25 to Feb ‘26. Reuters has dropped like a rock since they initiated the paywall in terms of US visits. Reuters was always smaller than the AP in the US to the best of my knowledge. And again, most people consuming Reuters and AP news are probably viewing it from another news outlet that purchased the story from the wire services.

Only a matter of time until they start saying “Well, this shows that voter fraud is possible so we need to change the laws and restrict voting to stop it.”
12
IolausTelcontar Mar 25, 2026 +22
The fact that he was caught and it was already illegal doesn’t matter to them; unless it’s gun laws, where they say to enforce the laws already on the books and not make new ones.
22
Isbleeding Mar 25, 2026 +6
No, what will happen is that this will be "proof" to Republicans that Democrats get away with voter fraud but since this guy is a Republican, they only go after Republicans who commit it
6
highlorestat Mar 25, 2026 +7
Trying to prove a crime by committing one, really thought it through didn't he?

Funny how the voter fraud seems to always come back on the Repedocan Party

Always has been. They want to cheat so bad to hold on to power, and they assume everyone else thinks as cravenly as they do. Projection from them every time.

I was told by a reputable source that this behavior only comes from the radical leftist lunatics. Please do not tell me I was lied to...again.
46
Ickulus Mar 25, 2026 +14
No. You misunderstand. The radical left lunatics are just so good at getting away with it that they never get caught. That's why we need to have only same day in person voting with ID.* *Subject to verification by ICE Officer via literacy test, poll tax, and genital check just for good measure.

It’s always who most project
15
gomezwhitney0723 Mar 25, 2026 +5
This is exactly why I have commented to others that when they keep screaming “voter fraud,” they need to read out every instance of voter fraud, on the floor, for at least the last 20 years and who they voted for. It should be mandatory to back up your accusations by actual proof under oath.

Zman734 Mar 25, 2026 +30
The fact that he was able to receive a ballot doesn't even prove what he was setting out to prove and he would have been caught had he actually filled out, signed and returned the ballot.

At this point I'm more surprised that the post actually reported on a conservative who committed voter fraud, than I am that a conservative committed voter fraud.
6
All_Hail_Hynotoad Mar 25, 2026 +7
It’s almost always conservatives doing the frauding.
7
trastamara22 Mar 25, 2026 +2
They accuse the opponent then do exactly that it’s a tried and true political muse

Everytime. Every damn time it’s a conservative and we want these people getting more power over elections?? F that.

Is there is a difference between conservative vs Republican?
5
Devil_in_Mexico Mar 25, 2026 +5
One doesn’t have representation and the other controls three branches of government. Republicans haven’t been conservative in decades. They just market themselves that way.
5
tech_and_org Mar 25, 2026 +5
Its always the ones you most suspect.

4
Smile_Like_Arsenic Mar 25, 2026 +4
This is a fair verdict. If you let people commit fraud just because they claim they are "testing the system," then the system actually would fall apart. You can"t impersonate the Speaker of the House to get a ballot and expect the court to just give you a high-five for it...

I don’t care who you are or what your allegiances are. If you’re cheating at the ballot box you should be punished. Simple as.
