Crazyhead (2016) is a fun supernatural comedy & it's a shame it only got 6 episodes

This show was a co-production between Netflix & Channel 4. I feel like it didn't get much of a push from Netflix & I only discovered it well after it ended. The show focused on two (mostly) novice demon hunters. Leads Cara Theobold (*Absentia*) & Susan Wokoma (*Chewing Gum*) have great chemistry. Their ad hoc & just winging it attempts to fight supernatural threats is charming in their sometimes incompetence. It was created by Howard Overman of *Misfits* fame & it's very much in the same vein humor wise. Their are stakes as well but the developing friendship between the two main characters & their shenanigans resonates the most. Tony Curran (*Defiance*) is a fantastic big bad & it seems like he's having a blast playing the character. His regular destruction of his underlings is a fun running gag. They tell a pretty complete story & there's no massive cliffhanger if you're worried about that. I recommend checking it out.

This the one with the two girls who worked at a bowling alley in the UK? Man, streaming is an absolute graveyard of forgotten content, many of it one-and-done.

Yes. It's unfortunate that it seems like it got the sink or swim treatment. I'm glad it's still available at least since so many shows seems like they're getting pulled in the last few years.

>the british buffy Much better than *Hex* (2004) 😄 > zomboat is another cara theobold one-season goodness. Yeah I just couldn't get into that one. It was a good concept. Just didn't land with me. I've been trying to seek out more British supernatural shows & *Crazyhead* is the best one I've come across of the lot.

Good show. I feel like we are missing great supernatural shows that are not horror or too adult.
