Thankfully, most people who commit murders are idiots so they almost always get caught. Also unfortunately they commit those murders because they are so stupid they think they are going to get away with it.

I think he had other plans for her, he did buy an incinerator. I think someone else parked that car out there.

And worth it. They were taking their time to build a case and get all the evidence before presenting it 

I'd rather them take their time and get it right. It doesn't help that there was supposedly so much time between the time of death and discovery of the body. If they waited this long to arrest him and are holding him without bail, they probably have more than enough to keep him behind bars for the rest of his life...

I remember so many people swearing he was innocent when this first broke. It was so obvious he wasn’t, but I’m glad they built the case.

I once met a woman who said she was in love with Charlie Manson, obsessed, she had Charlie merch all over her house. People are disgusting.

They were getting their ducks in a row. They said in the press conference there were people not willing to cooperate and talk.

The obvious reason is so that the police could conduct a fulsome investigation and obtain evidence that stands up to procedural scrutiny and substantively establishes guilt.

They said in the announcement of the charges that the fact that the body was so decomposed, due to it being undiscovered for so long, made the case much more complex

Charges for high crimes should take time. At the very least, our Constitution demands it.

Being the prime suspect doesn’t automatically mean they have enough evidence to charge him

I know quite a few people have said it, but the body being dismembered and decomposed slowed things down a lot. From what I remember, the car was found in a random parking lot, considered abandoned and he wasn’t even in the state when it was found. Considering he’s an artist and he travels for concerts, it WAS plausible that it wasn’t him, and could’ve been people he knew trying to keep her quiet who had access to his residence/vehicle And he was an immediate suspect, they just didn’t have enough to just outright charge him with the crime. Plenty of people get wrongly charged/sentenced. He’s a scumbag regardless, but if it ended up some freak situation he wasn’t involved in at all, there’d be discourse how the LAPD isn’t doing their job right and whatnot. Innocent until proven guilty in this case
