The site wide automod is absolutely vile, wouldn't want to talk about violence in a thread about a brutal murder now would we, what a totally cool and ethically consistent view listnook has, violence gets clicks so they peddle it all day but better not feed into it!

Yeah, I got a 3day a while back for saying Pete Hudgeshit (person who publicly says the most insane evil things) should maybe “just go away” (I’m not going to type what I actually did so I don’t get another ban but it was PG AF). The automod is actively protecting that guy from “violence”.

I was banned for 3 days for quoting a Sopranos quote on the Sopranos sub, where everyone else was doing it, and apparently it mistook it as me actually wishing hate on someone. I used quotation marks and everything but it still happened lol

You should’ve said, “hopefully, a meteor falls from the sky and fatally strikes Pete Kegbreath specifically and no one else.”
Since it’s a tragic accident involving a celestial piece of refuse striking a “human” piece of refuse, it should skirt any rules promoting violence. Acts of nature, by definition, cannot be violence.

And I don’t know anything about him
Except he murdered and dismembered a 14 year old
So I don’t have a very good first impression **AT ALL**

If I'm reading the lyrics right, a girl wanted to end a relationship with him cause he was crazy but he didn't want her to leave, saying he was "ready to break down the door", that he "loves the chase", and that he "can't let her go away". Given that this situation involves him killing a girl who was (un?)confirmed to be in a relationship with him, it casts the song in a very bad light retrospectively.
I think he actually has a worse song out there since I remember seeing a discussion on his music before too. But I can't remember it and I don't really have all of the details off the top of my head.

Almost all of his songs are about relationships, going as far as killing romantic partner; all of which you can assume were written about the victim.

It’s not actually. There’s a million and two questions that need answering when a teenager’s decomposed remains are found in the trunk of your car, not least of which being “to what degree was this man involved in this crime?” It’s 100% better to not jump the gun in situations like this.

I'd rather them take their time and get it right. It doesn't help that there was supposedly so much time between the time of death and discovery of the body.
If they waited this long to arrest him and are holding him without bail, they probably have more than enough to keep him behind bars for the rest of his life...

Shocked that it took this long to charge D4vd (21 years old, 20 at the time of Rivas’ death) when his girlfriend’s (who was 14 years old btw) body was found in his car.
Is the boyfriend not like statistically the number 1 suspect in these types of cases?

I know quite a few people have said it, but the body being dismembered and decomposed slowed things down a lot. From what I remember, the car was found in a random parking lot, considered abandoned and he wasn’t even in the state when it was found. Considering he’s an artist and he travels for concerts, it WAS plausible that it wasn’t him, and could’ve been people he knew trying to keep her quiet who had access to his residence/vehicle
And he was an immediate suspect, they just didn’t have enough to just outright charge him with the crime. Plenty of people get wrongly charged/sentenced. He’s a scumbag regardless, but if it ended up some freak situation he wasn’t involved in at all, there’d be discourse how the LAPD isn’t doing their job right and whatnot. Innocent until proven guilty in this case
