His collaborations with Kali Uchis and Laufey already got removed last year. His collaboration with the Kid Laroi only got removed in the last few days

Musicians, Laufey does a neo-jazz sort of thing (it’s pretty good tbh) and Kali Uchis does R&B/pop with some Spanish influence and sometimes Spanish lyrics. :)
I did have to google Kid Laroi, he’s a rapper

Laroi is a singer. He came up off rap then ofc like many others like him pivoted into a pop direction

I’m not really interested in hearing the voice of an alleged murderer and child sex abuser myself. I just will skip the section of the show whenever it plays if they don’t change it I guess lol

Not sure about murderer but "Alleged sex abuser" kinda just describes most popular musicians, especially in the 70s-80s
-5

Yeah, I’m sure that most popular musicians, after their arrest on suspected homicide, were found to have CSAM material on their cellphone.
Dude is absolute scum. More charges for the child p********** are likely coming. Not interested in hearing his music in a show I like regardless of it is considered art or not.

It’s possible. Other shows have made edits after they originally aired. For example Louis CK had voiceover cameo in Gravity Falls and after the allegations came out about him his voice was edited out and was replaced with the voice of the shows creator. Another example was a copyright issue, Netflix couldn’t get the rights to a song in an episode of Supernatural so they had to change it when they got the streaming rights to the show.

It was like one or two short scenes so it was easy to fix. TJ miller had a recurring role and they didn’t replace him. That would actually be a lot of work.

Regular-Mastodon-4301 day ago
+17
It’s really not. This isn’t on the level of an artist behaving badly in a way that they can wave it away… he had gigabytes of child sexual abuse material on his phone (in addition to allegedly killing an innocent girl).
This is on the level of the lead singer from Lostprophets, they are going to go scorched earth on anything he touched. There’s no way his music stays in Arcane.
17
Guilty_Jackfruit44841 day ago
-15
That show and song were released already. Why change it? His crimes have no affect on that show.

It's a streaming show, it can easily be removed and replaced. Weird thing to get defensive about.
6
Regular-Mastodon-4301 day ago

Because they don’t want their art associated with someone who has committed heinous crimes? This isn’t hard to understand.
It’s not their fault they collaborated with a murderer and child abuser if they didn’t know it at the time, but to wonder why they might care now that they know? lol. Use some common sense.

Well he was a featured artists, so its more that the artists whos song it was made the decision to not be associated/enriched based on the song with him.
d4vd’s songs/spotify page will still be up alongside the likes of R Kelly, Marilyn Manson, etc.

Is he? I just looked up the Lady Gaga/R Kelly collab on Apple Music and it’s not there. Instead there’s a version with her and Christina Aguilera.
As for R Kelly’s solo music, that’s his prerogative to take it down or not. D4vd’s solo work is still available as well.

Well I’m sure it sounds like that to you, because you just put words in their mouths to support what you’re accusing them of.
The fact is: none of these artists made any sort of statement about why they did this. So this is just you making assumptions about them, because you want to be angry I guess?

By earning them money from streaming which can then be directed to them by family and attorneys or offer them a cozy nest egg once they are released

Kali Uchis is a big name (her biggest song telepatía has 1.6 billion listens on Spotify for example). I found her through her song with Tyler The Creator in 2018 called After The Storm - I think her voice is really nice.
They're just stage names in genres you might not listen to, but they're still pretty popular artists. We're just getting old, haha.
