No way, the guy who was raping a child and then murdered her has video evidence of his crimes? Who ever could have guessed

I've never heard of this person until last week, but it is a sickening thought to what he could have been doing that we don't even know yet. He was sleeping a 14 year old girl, then she is killed and chopped up, and he still goes on with making a music album. I just can't understand how people could have such a lack of empathy and be involved in such sickness. She was a young girl, she had her whole life ahead of her, and now she is gone. Child rapist and killers deserve not a single ounce of pity. He needs to be punished for what he did.

I don’t know how exactly to word this so forgive me if it comes out wrong, but it’s always sad when you see a young victim. What happened to her, regardless of age, wasn’t right but when you start to really define what an 11 year old is, how they act, milestones they hit, what they like & dislike, it kinda knocks the wind out of you. When she went missing, she was a f****** *7th grader.* She was in middle school! She loved Hello Kitty & was last seen wearing HK slippers. She had long, curly black hair & she loved to sing and dance. She loved Takis and soda. *She was just a kid.* Like i said above, when you look beyond the number and remember yourself as an 11 year old, as a person, it’s even more harrowing. When she met this predator, she & other 11 year olds are starting to develop their own sense of self & identity. She was learning how to become more independent, wanting to spend more time with friends, going through growth spurts, learning to see the grays in the world instead of thinking in absolutes/black & white. She was learning to plan ahead, seeing the cause & effect of things she did. Starting to understand that studying before school could help her test better. Friendships evolve and become more important, with kids starting to find their best friend around this age. They also start to question authority more, want to spend more time away from family & lean into peer groups. She was hitting normal milestones, doing the same thing millions of 11 year olds do. But she was preyed upon, taken advantage of, and tossed away like trash. She never deserved that.

Christ, I just can't picture that. I have cousins that age and there is no way I could picture them being with a so-called grown man. He couldn't handle having a relationship with a grown woman, so he had to hunt on young girls. I hope for the rest of his life he is haunted in jail for what he did.

i wonder where they met, it had to have been discord, snapchat, tiktok or idk roblox or minecraft i guess. back in the day, adult predators had to hang around the mall or the arcade or a waterpark to hunt for 13 year olds "who are so mature for their age!!" they wanted to groom and date. now they have access to them 24/7 with a few taps of their phone. a PSA to millenial parents out there who don't know what the f*** their kids are doing on their phones or tablets and think they are off the hook as far supervision goes bc 'what could go wrong? they are in the house and when they aren't, i have their iphone location enabled so i know where they are 24/7??' well wake up, bc the internet is a whole lot different compared to when we used it at that age in the late 90s and the worst thing that could happen was getting creepy AIM messages from weirdos in the scooby doo chatroom, surfing over to rotten dot com and stumbling upon a photo of a dismembered p**** on some train tracks or accidentally clicking on a popup and suddenly tubgirl appears- parent your kids and be the bad guy and keep their asses off discord, snapchat, and tiktok. the modern internet is no place for unsupervised minors, IMO. which is sad bc late 90s unsupervised internet was the best the internet ever was and ever will be, IMO. ok rant over i guess

And it's not child p**********, it's child sexual abuse material. P********** implies consent.
13
Discount_Extra 21 hr ago +23
> P********** implies consent Under no definition in any dictionary, words don't mean whatever you imagine they do.
23
FrogFlavor 19 hr ago +9
People in general assume pornographic material involves a consenting adult. N***/explicit photos of people who don’t want to be photographed are creepshots, or stolen footage, or nonconsensually shared. Most people, in general, see a difference. No child can consent to sexual activity, no child can consent to sexually posed photos/videos because they don’t know what it is and they can’t legally participate in the activity OR any kind of contract signing. Therefore all “pornographic” material of children (sexual poses, sexual activity), is by definition material depicting abuse. Words do have a collectively agreed upon meaning. You personally and your upvoters just haven’t gone to the effort of considering the point of view of a minor who appears in these photos/videos. Or are disagreeing because CSAM is a “new” term that is disliked for its unfamiliarity.
9
DuIstalri 19 hr ago +5
In what world is it assumed the word pornographic assumes consent? The term 'revenge p***' exists for a reason. As you say, words have a collectively agreed on meaning, and the one for p*** doesn't include it requiring consent. Just that it's sexual materials.
5
CanIBake 13 hr ago +2
I agree with what you're saying generally and I don't necessarily agree that p*** has always implied consent, but words also change over time. Goon used to mean basically a lowlife, now it literally means masturbating. There's plenty of words across history that have had their connotations completely altered by the public. In recent years police organizations and legal institutions have been moving away from calling it "p***" and it's for all the reasons the other commenter mentioned.
2
Cynykl 12 hr ago +2
P********** is a genre. Consent has nothing to do with it. It is like saying science fiction implies consent. It is a nonsense statement and deserves to be call out as so.

This was the age that Fox News hosts a few months ago were saying "wasn't that young and in the recent past girls that age even got married." Because mainstream media outlets back Donald Trump and try to downplay his r*** of minors as a normal behavior. Just like they did when the "grab 'em by the p****" hot mic moment happened. They claimed it was just "locker room talk." I never talked about sexually assaulting women with my buddies.

Yes. Because American media is either normalizing Trump’s behavior (by ignoring it and not calling it out), or explicitly endorsing it (Fox), we should expect more and more brazen acts of indecency against children It’s horrid and horrific. A rotten, disgusting nation

>I just can't understand how people could have such a lack of empathy and be involved in such sickness. What boggles my mind is how many of the rich and powerful fit this description. The Epstein files revealed that business tycoons, political leaders, and royal family members enjoy raping and even murdering minors. Then they go right back to their business or political life like it was nothing.

Mm (ooh-ooh) I don't mean to be Complacent with the decisions you made But why? Mm In the back of my mind, you died And I didn't even cry No, not a single tear And I'm sick of waiting patiently For someone that won't even arrive Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh In the back of my mind, I killed you And I didn't even regret it I can't believe I said it But it's true I hate you" So yeah, there's probably other bodies out there.

in the 1950's there were over a million homes with incinerators in the LA area, they used to be a common household item. until we figured out that burning trash wasn't the greatest thing to do when it came to smog and air quality.

45
sasha_the_impaler 22 hr ago +14
>happy to proove he was not involved, handed his phone to police If it was a murder investigation I highly doubt it was a gesture of good will lol. Probably "either you give us the phone or we'll charge you as a suspect and search it anyway" or some other manipulation tactic they use where he thought he didn't have a choice even though he did. Luckily he was a pedophile but I don't buy that he just suddenly forgot he's a pedophile lol.

1
A_Nonny_Muse 1 day ago +2
So he wanted access to his collection everywhere. The cloud ain't secure. It's just other people's servers. And it's eminently hackable. Even some cloud services have TOS agreements giving them full and complete access and even ownership of everything you put on their servers. All those photos of your wedding night and honeymoon (for instance) - theirs to do with as they will, not yours anymore.
2
sasha_the_impaler 1 day ago +9
Sometimes people "delete" photos but they keep the same phone and forensics can extract them from the secret "deleted" folder lol
9
A_Nonny_Muse 1 day ago +15
There's no secret "deleted" folder. The information is not deleted. Only the file name and pointer is. So the file is named and has a pointer that says "the information starts at address XXXX and ends at YYYY. When you delete a file, all that gets deleted is the file name, and the pointer. Even then, it's usually just the first letter of the file name that is deleted - depending on the OS. Later, new files may overwrite what is there. In which case, some or all of the file info may be destroyed. But unless it is overwritten, all the data is still there. Enough about the casual stuff. Now for something interesting. Magnetic hard drives - not ssds - can still be recovered, even when overwritten. Even when overwritten, there is still a "ghost" magnetic field of what was once there. Now we're looking at NSA level data recovery. Using an electron microscope and a few other tools, one can recover data that has been overwritten up to 7 times... possibly more. This is why the DoD overwrites hard drives that stored classified data at least 7 times before physically destroying the drives. A DoD wipe is still considered the gold standard for data destruction.
15
sasha_the_impaler 1 day ago +6
It's not a secret but your phone totally has a recently deleted folder for recently deleted items and sometimes criminals are caught just by a cop checking in recently deleted lol
6
A_Nonny_Muse 1 day ago +4
That folder keeps the file name and pointer. But it allows for data to be overwritten if space is running low. And yeah, there's no secret there.
4
pablo8itall 13 hr ago +3
Android and IOS both have per file encryption keys. So the key is deleted, usually. unless there was a cloud backup or a copy in a cache etc its gone gone. Unless we get super duper quantum computers and the it was using a susceptible encryption scheme.

Guys that go this far down the rabbit hole of evil lose the ability to even tell what is bad and what isn't. It becomes their main priority and motivation and they surround themselves woth others who have the same tendencies. In other words it becomes such a prevalent part of their day to day lives that it is impossible to keep up with all of it to cover all the tracks. It was heavily watered down because of the privacy backlash. And it couldn't identify any CSAM just whatever images/videos governments had previously hashed. In this case it's likely irrelevant because 40TB is most likely just uncompressed video of sexual acts with her or other girls.

He's probably waaaaaay out of your age range lol, and probably mine too. He's young fellow, born 2005, that began making music on soundcloud and over the last like 4 years he really hit it big with teenage girls. His style I would say is comparable to probably Joji, and maybe early Post Malone, it's depressed beats with him somberly bemoaning romance or love or lost or what have you, the type of stuff that makes your moody daughter say ITS NOT JUST A PHASE! He's got multiple songs with over 1 billion listens on Spotify.

I am wondering if this is CSAM like what you immediately imagine, or photos and videos of Celeste and other fans. I wouldn't be shocked if he has collected tons of n**** from young girls. Not saying it's ok or that I doubt he's into other sick stuff. But there is a lot of sensationalism around this case. People are hearing 40TB of data and running with it on social media / youtube like all 40TB is incriminating material when he is a musician with a Discord server so he's going to have a ton of media on his devices and cloud accounts. It's like people are hungry for Epstein Files 2.
29
Sarah-himmelfarb 1 day ago +23
What Epstein was doing to those girls isn’t abnormal. Sex trafficking and grooming happens every day all the time. It was abnormal in that he was super wealthy and well connected. But the actual crime is not. I was trafficked and groomed as a kid and hundreds of photos and videos were made. They add up quickly and none of this ever did or ever will make the headlines but it’s extremely easy to rack up storage with fucked up CSAM videos. Especially considering what he did do, who knows what he forced her and maybe others to do on video before he killed her. So considering he groomed, sexually abused, murdered, and cut up a young girl, it’s not surprising or out of the blue that people might assume he has some pretty extreme stuff on his phone And it’s all CSAM whether or not it’s n**** or videos or more extreme things. He probably had a mixture of both

I mean it really doesn’t matter, he murdered and dismembered a 14 year old girl, the 40 tb of files is just a secondary detail. Also I wouldn’t call any of this sensationalism, they are just reporting what they know.

Well I'm pretty sure that the 40TB of data is all uncompressed video from tesla's recording. Video data is *big*, especially when there's so much of it. And they cant use compressed video to save space, as that could/would be considered tampering with the evidence

I would lean towards this explanation where maybe about 5 GB (\~10 minutes) is actually pertinent to the case. Also a few KB of text messages and phone data that provide context/location.

For reference I did a 6hr 30m video game livestream in 1080p the VOD was 97ish GB

i mean i think it's being sensationalized because a girl was dismembered and left in the trunk of a car by a "celebrity"

Ffs. The statistics aren't really aligning with how many people there are, how many famous and influential people there are, and how many people like this there are. Shouldnt the latter 2, incredibly powerful and influential people and f****** PEDOPHILES be incredibly rare? Why are so many powerful and influential people f****** pedophiles. The same with the shocking amount of teachers who are pedophiles. This simulation has just been getting awful Edit: yes I understand they are basically just everywhere which is the unfortunate reality. This comment was made more in disbelief than pure ignorance by focusing on how disporportional it seems how many famous/influential people end up being pedophiles

There's that but the completely jading realization that follows that it's always been at least this bad since forever.

Wha statistics did you expect? What’s your starting point?

kdogman639 1 day ago +3
It's not surprising at all but saddening our world as a whole won't do better. My starting point was being far too inspired by Carl Sagan as a young child.

The problem is we don’t know if the statistics are adding up or not b/c we have no good way to poll the population to find out how many are pedophiles. All we can go off of is how many are arrested and like with most other crimes, it’s normally only the dumb ones that get arrested. The legitimate statistics we do have from p*** sites do show that their “Teen” category is always in the top 3 categories for most views. We can also look at O******* data and see the highest earners are almost all under 23 or started their channels under that age.

The statistics comment was to exaggerate my point that it is repulsive that not only are there so many cretin pedos out there, but many of them hold significant power as well. I wasnt being literal with the statistics as pedophiles really shouldnt exist at all. Im sure if we looked at literal statistics the rates would be low, im just saying 2 "rare" categories overlap in such a way that it provides disturbing implications regarding the "none rare" categories Im talking about proportions

1) a lot more people (including women as all of the teachers make it apparent) are probably pedophiles than the statistics would have you believe 2) people with privileged access to children - especially during their hormonal development years - are more likely to offend This has been going on for a very long time but has only in recent decades become such a hot topic and viewed so severely.

When you can have whatever you want, happiness about normal luxuries starts to lessen pretty quickly. It’s called the hedonism treadmill. If you’re not focused on keeping perspective, you can start chasing thrills that get more and more fucked up.

Articles really need to start using CSAM Child Sexual Assault Material instead of 'child p**********'. https://www.iwf.org.uk/news-media/blogs/child-sexual-abuse-material-vs-child-p***-why-language-matters/ Basically: There is No Such Thing as ‘child p**********’. This phrasing implies consent and even legality, as p********** is legal in most countries for consenting adults. But children cannot legally or ethically consent to sexual activity, and they can never be complicit in their abuse.

No definitely, but in this case it's a direct quote from the LAPD, so in which case the LAPD needs to start using that terminology.
