They have been trying since the 1600's, they want an American Inquisition, with these sociopaths as inquisitors.

Candid-Change-4051 Apr 24, 2026 +29
This, it’s the descendants of the same assholes so religiously intolerant that Christian Europe, fresh off a set of wars over whose interpretation is correct found them too difficult to deal with. They set up shop in America and made their fundy twist of their undies everyone’s else’s problem since.

HiiiTriiibe Apr 25, 2026 +7
If you read some of the works of the original inquisitors, those mfs were absolutely sociopaths, they went and changed the definition of heresy when their grift stopped being profitable because they weren’t able to find any after they killed all the heterodox Christians

Watch the [video here](https://youtu.be/At3dA3mRJak?si=_sNwQ19IVSZ4DvI3) 📺 From the article: *The Daily Show* sounded off on Hung Cao stepping in as acting Navy Secretary, suggesting he’s as “crazy” as the rest of the Trump administration. Host Michael Kosta called out Cao’s past anti-Wiccan commentary, in which Cao feared his home state of Virginia would be taken over by witches. After airing footage of Cao’s former remarks, Kosta said: “What the f*** are you talking about? I mean, why is everybody they appoint so f****** crazy?”

I practice witchcraft and this is hilarious.

Had a knock at the door a few weeks ago, opened to a couple in their 70s. ‘Hello we’re Jehovahs Witnesses’. ‘I’m a witch’. ‘Oh…. goodbye’
63
buffysmanycoats Apr 24, 2026 +64
I put a sign on my door that says “solicitors will be sacrificed to the old gods, not the new” and I haven’t see a jehovas witness since 💀

thisistherevolt Apr 24, 2026 +19
Can confirm it's effectiveness.
19
Elexandros Apr 24, 2026 +7
Seconded. I have the same sign and the God-bothering has stopped completely for me.

HappyTurtleButt Apr 24, 2026 +3
This is wonderful, lol.

Candid-Change-4051 Apr 24, 2026 +15
It’s no joke on how well that works. I’ve got a skull and crossbones Christmas wreath that went up two seasons ago that I’ve never bothered to take down. The door camera footage of bemused religious or political would be door stops is a source of great entertainment in my house.

cupcakes0220 Apr 24, 2026 +13
I crocheted a pride flag to hang on our front door, and our ring has caught two mormon groups pausing and deciding to move on to the next house.

Tymathee Apr 24, 2026 +6
Funny thing is they're not supposed to be afraid of people like that but are smh

RSquared Apr 24, 2026 +10
I used to live in Utah, and for the longest time I'd get out a beer just to answer the door with it when an LDS came knockin'.
10
Which_Produce4418 Apr 24, 2026 +3
that's good clean fun right there
3
Seayarn Apr 24, 2026 +3
I only had to tell them once. No one ever came calling again. Apparently there is an invisible sign on my home now even us witches can't see! But all the black cats in the neighborhood love me!
3
thepsycholeech Apr 24, 2026 +12
I’d rather have wiccans take over than Christians
12
BassesNBikes Apr 24, 2026 +6
Hungton Caosby not only fears witches, he's also a Vietnamese white supremacist.
6
epicgrilledchees Apr 24, 2026 +206
Can a reporter please ask trump his stance on witches?
206
DennenTH Apr 24, 2026 +76
And when he inevitably goes on his grandpa rant about "[news group] has terrible ratings" as a distraction...  They need to follow up "Yeah that's cool and all, but you have failed to answer my question.  I don't care about your whining.  I don't care about your misdirections.  Just answer the question, or are you just going to continue to signal to America that you have no intent to be honest, just loud?"
76
mrdude05 Apr 24, 2026 +23
And then he goes on the exact same grandpa rant and gets even more hostile to the reporter before telling them to shut up and going to the next question. People have tried to pin him down on lies and call out contradictions, and he just walks all over them because they can't actually force him to answer
23
Tangent_Odyssey Apr 24, 2026 +13
It’s also the quickest way to ensure you never see another White House press pool again. I don’t like access journalism either, for the record. But that is where we are.
13
Fabulous-Appeal-6885 Apr 24, 2026 +16
Quiet piggy! 🐷
16
DennenTH Apr 24, 2026 +11
And by never asking the hard questions, it just makes all of the media complacent in all of this with no teeth. Used to be a day where that was completely not normal.  Used to be a day where talk shit get hit was the policy and getting hit was done by hard investigative journalism. Not anymore...  Now you just get people afraid they won't get invited back to the circus.
11
latticegwop Apr 24, 2026 +8
Waiting for a reporter to state clearly: "you granted us access to be in here, vet us, and continue to coordinate and discuss with us. Do you want to contribute to your role as president and communicate to the American taxpayer or are you going to continue avoiding the truth?" But money.
8
hobo_at_a_library Apr 24, 2026 +4
His answer, "You know, you're a real loser, you know that?"
4
SharMarali Apr 24, 2026 +8
I have been thinking lately about how awesome it would be if some reporter said “Yes, I suck and so does my publication. I’ll stipulate to that. Now, about my question…”
8
Greatsnes Apr 24, 2026 +2
Sounds good in the shower. Wouldn’t make a difference. He’d just keep ranting and the reporter would get removed and nothing would come of it.
2
LawfulValidBitch Apr 24, 2026 +10
If I’m being honest, I actually really don’t want someone to do that. I was raised as a pagan, and a lot of people I know and love are pagans. I know this might seen like a joke to a lot of people, but the community he’s complaining about is real, and so far we’ve flown under the radar. Asking Trump and making it a public spectacle would just make one more community of people who are endangered by this administration. I literally know a lot of Wiccans/Pagans/witches in Virginia, who might become targets of right wing nutjobs because of what’s already been said.
10
KemShafu Apr 24, 2026 +3
And when he deflects that question, have the next reporter ask. They never have each other's backs.

Because they're all greedy, deranged, narcissistic, misogynistic white supremacist, christian nationalists? What about that is unclear at this point?
30
SeanCrevalle Apr 24, 2026 +4
This. It shouldn't surprise anyone.
4
HappyTurtleButt Apr 24, 2026 +2
They are not actual Christians at all though. Probably celebrate Jesus’s death, instead of being upset he was martyred.

I’m an atheist and I’m a better Christian than any of them.

As a dude who's dated a couple ladies who into Wicca: He ain't slick. Dude has a crazy ex girlfriend he's afraid of/really freaking resents. He's still bonkers and unfit to serve.
13
dorianvovin Apr 24, 2026 +15
It’s also perfectly likely that the guy’s a Christian Nationalist and that’s all the reason he needs to hate witches. The administration has condemned “anti-Christians” as terrorists already, it doesn’t really require much effort to speculate that the administration of Christian Nationalists appointed another one and he’s still peddling 80’s era satanic-panic bullshit.
15
GinAndDumbBitchJuice Apr 24, 2026 +4
Yeah, that's way more likely.
4
Powergeyzer Apr 24, 2026 +5
How long till we have public witch burnings in the capital? Gotta get those evil witches before they eat more kids.
5
RheaSloane Apr 24, 2026 +4
honestly... thats kinda wild, ive never really thought about trumps stance on witches before, thats a funny thought though lol
4
dorianvovin Apr 24, 2026 +5
The Heritage Foundation, Stephen Miller, Peter Thiel, etc. are all openly Christian Nationalists, Evangelicals who still believe in Satanic Panic bullshit. Trump will happily peddle religious hate to pander to his base, even though he isn’t actually religious himself.
5
AnglerOfAndromeda Apr 24, 2026 +5
Instead of *thoughts and prayers* it’s *headlines and distractions.*
5
heidismiles Apr 24, 2026 +4
Because you have to be deeply, profoundly ill to support and participate in this administration. Period.
4

Yep, you'd have to be crazy to apply for the job, so it takes care of itself.

The CIA , in 1965, instructed the Indonesian military to spread lies about feminist communist witches after a failed coup. The military took over and scoured the country for leftists and feminists, which they raped and murdered as part of an extermination campaign sponsored by the United States of America. The same trope was marched out for the coup in Brazil the previous year. Sounds pretty familiar

I would pay women in black to follow this dude around with a candle and burning sage, while muttering and giving complete crazy eyes.
2
mikeinanaheim2 Apr 24, 2026 +2
Why, you ask? It's because no truly qualified, sane person would ever be associated with the Trump Circus. He even said he likes "losers" and sure can pick them.

These Xtians that thinks they are in a literal, physical war with demons and human agents of Satan are so weird. How to they stay employed? I used to manage people. Almost all the wacky fringe Christian’s (the ones that just had to tell everyone about their beliefs) almost always got fired for some majorly unethical behavior. Usually stealing, saying customers were in league with Satan or were a Witch and sometimes making up ridiculously complicated lies. To me the Christian that believe there are demons walking around working with humans to “bring about the destruction of god” are exactly the same as kids playing “monsters are going to get us” at sleepovers or camping or whatever equivalent you did.

They do what they’re told and are expendable. Only requirements to work for Drumpf
1

Believing in witches is no different than following religion
1
poop_parachute Apr 24, 2026 +1
Because, contrary to popular belief, crazy people can be controlled when they have something to lose (the veneer of credibility, apparent respect from non-crazies, a position of power that gives them control over non-crazies).
1
Matches_Malone998 Apr 24, 2026 +1
It makes for really easy scapegoats. They couldn’t rip and betray a sane person and look as “good” as they do afterwards (in their opinions not mine)
