What does everyone think of this show? I thought Glenn Close was brilliant as usual. I like that it didn’t have as many seasons as some shows do also. I really enjoyed it.
Yes! I didn’t realize she got a couple Emmy nominations from it!

I think it was her big break for her career. Never heard of her before the show and shortly after she started popping up everywhere.

fr Rose Byrne was a whole vibe in that show, love how she brought the character to life

She had a stellar 2007, with Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later and Damages all came out the same year. I knew her from Sunshine and became a fan after Damages.

I watched it when it aired, first season was a masterpiece. The later seasons were okay but not as good. I like the flash forward hook but it's worth watching just for the cast.

Good dramatic roles for Ted Danson and Martin Short too

First season is one of my favorite seasons of TV ever. It especially popped when it came out, Glenn Close was so effective and malevolent in a way very few women are allowed to be. Ted Danson is a goddamn revelation and Zeljko Ivanek earned that unlikely Emmy win. It's clever, it's devious, it has heart.
Then I think the show never hits the high of the first season going forward but I've enjoyed the acting throughout, it allowed a lot of character actors to flex their acting muscles.

I like season 3, I think it's on par with the first season. An intriguing case and I love the dynamic between Ellen and Patty that season.

Brilliant show, last season was rough but otherwise peak television

I really enjoyed it, but the last two seasons were pretty rough. FX, which originally aired it, cancelled it and it moved to DirectTV's Audience Network. The seasons were still star-studded but you can tell the budget got chopped some and since it was on Audience Network, it was very hard to watch initially unless you had DirectTV.

Ted Danson plays a remarkable piece of shit in this series. One of his best performances.

Glenn Close was terrifying in the best way, like a legal horror movie without monsters. Rose Byrne was great too. If you liked this, maybe check out The Good Fight.

Loved this show. I especially enjoyed the season where Dylan Baker played a weirdo CIA operative.

3rd season was amazing for me. 1st was good, and the rest I was kind of in and out of.
However, since it ended I have gained much more knowledge of civil litigation so I feel like it deserves a rewatch, but there's always just so much more ahead of it on the list.

Glenn Close was so good that It's Always Sunny had to change a joke about a painting of George Washington looking like her.

I really enjoyed a couple of seasons, but eventually just started to find it exhausting about how every season felt like a countdown until a likable character was violently murdered.

One of my favorites! Loveddd this show back in the day when it first aired, and found that S1 was still amazing on a rewatch a couple years ago. Glenn Close + Rose Byrne = must watch!

Patty Hewes was such a riveting character to watch. Glenn Close was phenomenal,
Rose Byrne was no pushover too, she held her own acting opposite a living legend.
