Judge Aileen Cannon knew this and abused her position and violated the law to protect the patron who appointed her. She needs to be investigated for corruption and at the very least, impeached and removed from her office.

This is grounds for impeachment. Even if she is on the Supreme Court

I’m voting for anyone that promises justice and prosecution for all corruption related to this current administration.

Hopefully there’s a candidate that says they will stop funding Israel, stop congress from stock trading, criminal prosecution of Epstein file people, and punish this incredible corruption

All this, student loan forgiveness, M4All, no war, and about 400 other things that need to be fixed just to catch up with almost every other developed nation.

SaltyLonghorn Mar 25, 2026 +36
We won't catch up to developed nations again for decades the destruction of the govt was so thorough and ongoing. Most people here don't need to worry about that happening in their lifetimes. Hope you all enjoyed providing a tax break to like 1000 people that don't need it. I bet they stop there!

Kind of ironic that two of these things are the Houses duty, and the other would be abuse of office.

Promising prosecution is a great way to guarantee no convictions. Just look at how effective that strategy has been for the current guy. You promise full investigation and accounting, and your results aren't tainted.

RepresentativeAge444 Mar 25, 2026 +47
And yet when I point out that the current Democratic “leadership” shows no indication of a desire to do so (the same Democratic establishment that gave us Merrick Garland) I’m the bad guy. Only a complete rebuild of the Democratic Party will give a chance of that happening. Reverting to blue team good red team bad brain rot will not change this reality
47
cycling-expat Mar 25, 2026 +39
Not the bad guy, just wrong. The current leadership knows we don't have the votes to do it. When you try and fail, it hurts the cause. If we win the Senate and House, it is worth a try. Until then, it is not.
39
RepresentativeAge444 Mar 25, 2026 +32
The brain rot I’m talking about. The brain rot that ignores Obama’s “we need to move on” about the bankers responsible for the 2008 recession. The brain rot that ignores that we tortured THOUSANDS at Abu Ghraib with no major punishments. The brain rot that ignores that Jack Smith said he had the goods on Trump but Garland waited two years and had to be dragged kicking and screaming into assigning a special counsel allowing that wacky roadrunner to run out the clock. I’m not talking about the votes to do it NOW. I’m talking about after they get back in power calling for Nuremberg style tribunals, arresting and prosecuting rogue ICE agents, these criminal grifters etc. I see nothing in Dem leadership that suggests they have the stones for it. And if this massive corruption and criminality isn’t punished then what’s to stop it from happening again and again and again? Like I said people need to let go of the blue team good red team bad paradigm. They are all bad. Establishment Dems helped get us here by not doing anything about the growing extremism in the Republican Party people such as myself have been warning about for 10+ years. A slow moving train wreck you see coming but are powerless to stop. Yet we got my friends across the aisle, for every working class person we lose we’ll pick up 2 Republicans in the suburbs. We need a strong Republican Party. I’ll campaign with Liz Cheney even though it will net me zero additional votes over Biden because Republicans don’t defect in high numbers. Etc etc. All while Republicans label anyone to the left of Mussolini as godless commies. Hegseths pastor just said he hopes God kills Talarico ffs. This is serious shit. The Republican Party is a modern neo Confederate entity and terrorist organization. Full stop. Failing to treat them as such shows malfeasance at best and collaboration at worst.

cycling-expat Mar 25, 2026 +11
Sometimes we have to realize we are more left than the country is. I have lived all over the country and know I can't ask politicians (anywhere) to represent the 30% of the country that is left of the 70%, even if the 70% is completely wrong on everything. The Country is moving left, but also right. Left is winning. I feel confident, but it is not there yet, and to scream and act like it is gets us nowhere.
11
StormWhich5629 Mar 25, 2026 +9
> know I can't ask politicians (anywhere) to represent the 30% of the country that is left of the 70 Yeah and apparently we can't even ask democrat politicians to represent their own voter base. Chuck schumer has said his job is to make america support Israel. Democrats didn't allow any discussion about the Palestinian genocide during the election, and even supported aggressive responses to protests against continuing to support said genocide. The Democratic party is more concerned about recruiting suburban republicans and supporting Israel than they are about their voter base. That support is a large part of why we are now at war with Iran, and why we are watching Israel turn southern Lebanon into another Gaza. Im finding it harder and harder to find a reason to support dems as the best of 2 bad options. Thats what I have done every election and they've pissed it away trying to meet republicans in the middle
9
Judson_Scott Mar 25, 2026 +3
Lots of people are looking for this; the movement is calling the next election "the Nuremburg election." Sadly, Dems have never shown any interest in holding people accountable. At best they hired Republican-lite Merrick Garland to slow-walk investigating Trump; at worst they did nothing to punish -- and in fact happily rewarded -- those who destroyed the economy with the Great Recession.

Cool - the Republicans would never agree to impeachment and will use the "witch hunt" to again argue weaponization of the government. The system of checks and balances is only an honor system and Republicans have no honor and no shame. Those that do will retire. Republican politicians are employees of billionaires. If they aren't willing to do the job, they have to retire. That's why we never see any of them stand up against the GOP.
104
andrew5500 Mar 25, 2026 +50
Those child rapists won’t agree to a lot of things, but with enough Democrats in Congress, we won’t need their agreement.
50
dotajoe Mar 25, 2026 +33
You need 67 votes in the senate to impeach anyone. So basically something needs to change in the Republican Party, or democrats need to start winning in, like, Wyoming and North Dakota. So even if there is a big blue wave in the midterms and 2028 presidential election, best case there are still going to be like 45 republicans in the senate.
33
andrew5500 Mar 25, 2026 +27
The odds are slim, but something *is* changing in the Republican Party. They all made themselves a child rapist’s b**** for 10+ years, and between Iran and Epstein and the economy on the brink, Trump has become a dead albatross around their necks that they won’t be able to shake off for another decade, at least. Their unprecedented desperation to rig the midterms should demonstrate just how terrified they are of losing seats, and as Steve Bannon openly warned, being sent to prison.

At this point I’d be happy to see a Dem president hit the “f***-it” button and arrest Trump + everyone who’s actively working to shield our child-abusing, traitorous, domestic terrorist President. I’m talking about actual criminals, not ball-gargling sycophants who’re clean otherwise. There are corrupt/criminal SCOTUS justices, judges, congressmen, cabinet members, advisers, donors, etc. It’s been a matter of national security for at least a decade now, I would be surprised if the Immunity ruling didn’t cover such a decision. We can’t do anything as a citizenry but vote outside of fighting against tyranny the old-fashioned way, and that’s an extremely taboo topic in modern society. Long-winded way of calling for American Nuremberg Trials but still, it’s f****** disgusting how obvious the corruption is while we all have to sit and take it. EDIT: phrasing
63
BuckyShots Mar 25, 2026 +19
It’s not “wouldn’t care” but would actively support. The arrest and repercussions of blatant corruption need to be enforced if our democracy wants to continue. Full stop.
19

Yeah I’ll rephrase because I’m in full support of it, thanks for pointing that out! “Wouldn’t care” was referencing the decorum, traditions, and procedures those in power beg us to have faith in so we don’t resort to extraneous measures. It’s been well-established American society and norms have been completely upended and it’s long-passed time for someone to come along with the stones to cut the cancer out before it’s too late.

It's America, so... probably never. The Republican Party and its donors would fight it tooth-and-nail to the bitter end because the fall out would be widespread and fairly long-lasting. J/k. We all know that the "American People" would probably forget everything within 2 presidential cycles, and the corporate-owned media would spend an enormous amount of money glossing over everything and trying to bury it.

OwnIntroduction5193 Mar 25, 2026 +2336
Based on the July 2024 Supreme Court ruling in Trump v. United States, U.S. presidents have absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within their core constitutional powers and presumptive immunity for all official acts. This immunity does not apply to *unofficial, private acts.* This was not a "crime on behalf of the American people," this was solely for personal gain and is a massive security risk and crime. He needs to be removed and held accountable now.
2336
Vio_ Mar 25, 2026 +544
The problem is that Trump and his administration have been playing both "official/unofficial" act like it's a judicial shield to hide their crimes whenever it's to their benefit. Then Trump keeps trying to push that to where "unofficial" acts are also shielded from prosecution.
544
IndubitableMatt Mar 25, 2026 +223
Which is the predictable result of the Supreme Court’s immunity decision. Such an awful ruling.

I've never believed there's an afterlife, but at this point, I honestly hope there is one just so there's an opportunity for shitbags like McConnell, Trump, the entire Federalist Society crew, the entire Heritage Society crew, Curtis Yarvin, Russell Vought, Peter Thiel, every billionaire donor, etc. to suffer a fraction of the misery that they've forced the rest of humanity to suffer through for their greed, selfishness, and general lust for power/control.

Just like Citizens United was used to muddy the waters for political contributions. Roberts court is some trash.
42
RandomMandarin Mar 25, 2026 +13
Very unusually, Roberts did not spend any time as an associate justice to the Supreme Court. When Chief Justice Rehnquist died in September 2005, George W. Bush plugged him right into the big chair before the month was over. He is still only 71 years old.
13
Vio_ Mar 25, 2026 +16
All of the newest Conservative judges had helped on the Bush v Gore case in Florida. How that had not been a conflict of interest....
16
RandomMandarin Mar 25, 2026 +3
It totally was. Vincent Bugliosi (who prosecuted Charles Manson) wrote the definitive response to this outrage, calling them the Felonious Five in a January 2001 article in The Nation. He said they were criminals, if only a crime existed on the books that they could be charged with. >In the December 12 (2000) ruling by the US Supreme Court handing the election to George Bush, the Court committed the unpardonable sin of being a knowing surrogate for the Republican Party instead of being an impartial arbiter of the law. If you doubt this, try to imagine Al Gore's and George Bush's roles being reversed and ask yourself if you can conceive of Justice Antonin Scalia and his four conservative brethren issuing an emergency order on December 9 stopping the counting of ballots (at a time when Gore's lead had shrunk to 154 votes) on the grounds that if it continued, Gore could suffer "irreparable harm," and then subsequently, on December 12, bequeathing the election to Gore on equal protection grounds. If you can, then I suppose you can also imagine seeing a man jumping away from his own shadow, Frenchmen no longer drinking wine. [None Dare Call It Treason](https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/none-dare-call-it-treason/)

They were just bringing the world into alignment with Trump's statement in his first term that he has "an article II where I have the right to do whatever I want as President."
10
Memitim Mar 25, 2026 +9
Republicans on the Supreme Court didn't invent magical immunity because it was good law. It was prep for this coordination with Republicans in the Executive and Legislative Departments to repeatedly violate the law while providing cover with bullshit in service to starting a war with America. Since they are conservatives, nonstop lies to deflect accountability are to be expected, so no surprise there. Trump's recent declaration that tens of millions of Americans are the enemy is simply another escalation revealing the truth.
9
cytherian Mar 25, 2026 +19
Roberts should be censured for how he ruled on this. He gave Trump Carte Blanche to break laws and pilfer the US government. Contracts for businesses where his sons have a multi-million dollar investment? REEKS of nepotism & family favoritism.
19
Specialist-Clock-914 Mar 25, 2026 +11

13
Bakkster Mar 25, 2026 +5
Depends whether you consider the theft loading then onto a plane hours before he left office, or retaining them at his personal property the moment he left office.
5
JunkSack Mar 25, 2026 +3
Removing classified documents to his home isn’t an issue at all. They all do it. Thats not remotely the crime here, even with the context of how he took them. The crime(s) are about not giving them back, obstructing the search and seizure of them, and how he used them/who he showed them too. Biden had a ton of documents at his residence at the same time, and he promptly returned them in full when asked. They tried it make it some kind of gotcha.
3
Bakkster Mar 25, 2026 +5
Because with Biden (and Pence), there was no indication they intended to keep them past their term (I think in both cases they were approved for storage while they were being used officially). And they didn't even have to be asked to return them, they returned them immediately on realizing they hadn't been returned with the others. Trump's boxes getting loaded on the plane was just one example of his criminal intent to keep them, same as the moving them around and flooding the server room and showing them to people (this being like the third example we have).

What I'm about to say is hypocritical because I'm not actively doing much myself, but it's a mark against the American people that the Trump family, his Cabinet, and the corrupt SCOTUS justices aren't living in fear every second of their lives. It's a good sign that some of them are hiding in military housing, but not enough. These people need to never be comfortable in public ever again. As individuals, we're fairly powerless when it comes to actual investigation and prosecution, but there are a few hundred million of us who should force these assholes into bunkers where they can count their ill-gotten gains behind their gates and security teams.

I hope you mean Merrick Garland, but I think you mean the kid in Chester, PA. That kid was never gonna hit him. It was an orchestrated photo op that worked perfectly. I hope we find out the truth one day about it (but I doubt we will)

It's crazy. This is Watergate x 1000...I hate that he probably won't be held accountable bc he will distract by trying to take over yet another country
85
rat_penis Mar 25, 2026 +21
He's leaving no choice but
21
dudaman Mar 25, 2026 +5
We may need to adjust our scale for measuring political outrage/scandal. I understand that Watergate was the "gold standard" for scandal in the past, but that event pales in comparison to everything going on now.
5
Moccus Mar 25, 2026 +6
The US government is immune from defamation suits.
6
Rambaz_69 Mar 25, 2026 +7
* **Lawsuit Against the IRS and Treasury ($10 Billion):** In January 2026, Donald Trump, his sons, and the Trump Organization sued the IRS and the U.S. Treasury for **$10 billion** in damages. They allege the agencies failed to prevent the unauthorized leak of Trump's tax returns by a former contractor. * **Claims Against the Justice Department ($230 Million):** Trump is seeking **$230 million** from the DOJ for what he calls "politically motivated" investigations, including the 2022 Mar-a-Lago search and the Russia probe. These are currently active administrative claims.
7
Moccus Mar 25, 2026 +9
> Lawsuit Against the IRS and Treasury ($10 Billion): Not defamation. > Claims Against the Justice Department ($230 Million) Not a lawsuit and not defamation.
9
Rambaz_69 Mar 25, 2026 +8
You're right about the reasons, but the fact remains that Trump is demanding a lot of money from the U.S. government on dubious grounds. If the lawsuits are successful—whatever the proper term for them may be—it will be paid for with taxpayer money. That certainly won't change.

They’ve been committing treasonable offenses since before the 2016 election. Now that they know they’ll get away with it, they do it out in the open. If we can’t do better, we are a failed country.

It's kind of funny because this BOMBSHELL news story, was obvious to everyone who wasn't in the cult before now, and those in the cult still don't believe it. So this may be important information to the 1 or 2% of his voters who have woken up in the past year.
157
Expensive-Brother-91 Mar 25, 2026 +12
And the most frustrating part is that's assuming the 1-2% of voters who have woken up will even vote for a Democrat come November. I see a bunch of people of Facebook who admit that he has lied or that Iran was a mistake, but will still vote for GOP because "gas was more expensive under Biden in 2022" or because "the competition is actually more corrupt"
12
sharp11flat13 Mar 25, 2026 +3

And exactly what the f*** is going to be done about it? Is it "nothing"? Because that's so far what's been done about all this man's crimes and they are legion. We had decades of crimes of all sort before he started his bid for president, we had crimes while he was running for president, we had crimes during the first term, we had crimes on his way out of the first term, we had crimes for four years when he wasn't president, crimes on his run for president again, and crimes from day one of this shit show of a term. Seriously, I'm open to finding and APPLYING a legal remedy to this man, his fellow criminal cabinet members, and any supporters that are criming along with them. I'm just unclear when we're all going to get off our asses and get on it. I'd personally like it if it is -before- ww3.

Everyone who cared knew Trump did this: it was all over every news outlet (except Fox and other extremist outlets). Smith had Trump stone cold before Cannon pulled her stunts and he stole the election with Musk and Putin. Garland slow-walked everything and here we are. The planet and geopolitics in chaos and uncertainty.

I have come to terms with the fact that Trump will never face justice for his countless crimes. But that doesn’t mean there is no justice to be done. I want to see democrats going after everyone that has facilitated Trump. Like everyone from judges, administrators, lawyers, agents, aids, everyone. I want people to be afraid to support a fascist leader because they know that THEY will face consequences for their leaders crimes. I think that’s the best justice we can hope for in America
