Wake me up after Disney decides to tell a coherent, character driven DAREDEVIL story with actual stakes—like in the Netflix run— and kills off half the cast to prove their genuinety. These new characters provide absolutely no value story-wise, and are annoying because they seem to be there just BECAUSE. Noone cares about what they do, what they did and what they will do. Instead of wasting entire seasons on them, they should have just developed the core characters and a few new supporting ones —again, like in the Netflix run— but noooooooo the entitled fucks at Disney just cannot not inject themselves and their dumbfuckery into everything, knowing people will watch it anyway because it's DAREDEVIL. I genuinely gave this a chance and it's clearly not working for me as I couldn't keep my focus watching this season because I was distracted by how much I do not care about my absolute favorite TV show of all time anymore. I will still watch this season and probably whathever comes next, but I'm not feeling it anymore. They done fucked it up. Daredevil is ruined.

Sorry to hear you think this series sucks, especially since you liked the Netflix version so much. I enjoyed the Netflix series, it wasn't my favourite Marvel show, but the drop off from that to this surprised me so I can't imagine what it'd be like if it was my favourite series. I'll take the downvotes too, I would agree the writing is bad but I'll disagree with you on why. I don't think it's the character's fault, I think it's the story's and Disney being too toothless in this show to actually make a coherent connection between what they're depicting and real life events. It undercuts everything from character motivations to world building to plot progression. It's an inane "apolitical" stance that's so obnoxious it goes from bad to cringe. Fisk became a populist leader with the platform of what and appealing to what segment of the population? You want to make connections between ICE and the Fisk task force because they both what? People are rebelling and starting some resistance against... what? People are being oppressed because what? F****** *"vigilantes"*?! Are you kidding me?! It's hilarious that the Netflix series seems more well-written because they at least took some kind of stance, even if it was just fighting against *gentrification*.

Did they drop two episodes this week?

FupaLipa Apr 1, 2026
I'm glad they dropped 2 this week- 2 was a little slow and I was bored but 3 had everything I wanted- I kinda wish they had been able to get that much excitement in the first episode because I think a lot of people may not wait around this long for the season to define itself.

Yeah. Ive not watched yet but what I saw was that episode one and two were considered a little slow moving, so they put episode 3 out too, to show everyone the engines revving up.

Love seeing Daredevil and co. beat the shit out of Ice every episode

Would prefer Frank or Bullseye's more permanent solution, tbh

I have a feeling that’s coming too.

great bit of choreography in Ep3. Very interesting to see where this all goes. Reviews said that these first 3 were the slow builds, so with what we have so far, it'll be fun to see where it goes when they ramp up in full

Jessica Jones seems to be in this season, she'll add some more lighthearted, feisty attitude. I'm glad they're more focused this season, first 3 episodes were good.

Glad to see the Mexican ninja get some action. Too bad he wasn't jumping through some ceilings though.

The jailbreak scene was everything I had hoped for. Welcome back, well-planned action sequences.

This might make me watch Born Again again. I stopped after that bank robbery episode because it just didn't feel like the Netflix seasons.

Tbh i liked that episode, but its the only one that feels a little out of place, being more of a filler

the bank robbery episode was terrible

Man, I really liked the episode. It felt nice to have a “Daredevil is a street level superhero” story that was just a story of the week, and I liked the link in to Ms Marvel as well. Yes, it was filler, but some filler can be enjoyable every now and again.

I also enjoyed the episode for the same reason you did. While I enjoy overarching stories, It was also nice getting a one-off Daredevil episode seeing him be a hero in a small capacity. Wish we got 1x or 2x like it every season

Iirc, it was also dropped the same day as another episode too, meaning you still got a proper story episode.

Also liked the episode.

Luckily, that episode can be skipped completely, because it has literally nothing to do with the rest of the season. It’s the only episode they didn’t finagle with during the creative overhaul.

Worthyness Apr 1, 2026 +4
It felt like such a comicbook crossover issue and I loved it for that reason.Plus we got to see Matt just do civilian justice stuff instead of daredevil justice stuff

It’s a fun episode, but the vibe and lack of stakes really put me off. There are a few moments that get too cutesy to me.

I love Bullseye.

Is this Daredevil: Born Again or The Wilson Fisk Show? Nothing has happened in episode 2, and I feel I’ve seen 20 seconds of Matt. I’m getting tired of Fisk.

It’s both and always has been outside of season 2 of the OG series

I haven’t seen this since Netflix season 2 but is Fisk really still the main antagonist?

jez124 Apr 1, 2026
Dunno why you got downvoted... but yea he pretty much is. Kinda would hate him being the big bad for these three seasons which is looking like the case.

People take things way too personally.

Yeah. His role as a villain was over in season 3 (which I recommend you watch it's the best thing marvel has ever made), but the corpos at Disney decided to bring him and since it's illegal for marvel to hire competent writers they decided to rehash his old storylines but much much worse

This is comic accurate. Kingpin is almost ‘ever present’ or at least he was. Similar to Dr Doom in the Fantastic Four

Cyke101 Apr 1, 2026 +4
Or Dr. Claw to Inspector Gadget Or Skeletor to He-Man Or Megatron to Optimus Prime

OnePassenger4597 Apr 1, 2026 -1
Yeah, and I hate to say this but Im kinda tired of him being the main villain for four seasons now. But still, watch Season 3 tho cause its the best season of Marvel television for me

I originally was hoping for a new antogist, but Vincent D'Onofrio has been killing it this season so far.

He's a great actor but that's dragged out a little too much for me.
