Dark Winds

Posted by Fire-and-ice-grrr

Loving Dark Winds, but currently on last season. Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for another show to stream. Currently enjoying the Native American and Navajo themes. Cheers

Reservation Dogs is a great show about modern day Native American life, very different from Dark Winds but really is fantastic TV.

The Lowdown is another series from the guy who created Reservation Dogs, and it's quite good. Ethan Hawke stars.

Seconded for Rez Dogs. It's not only great, I truly believe it is one of the best tv shows ever made. It's funny, dramatic, emotional. It'll make you both laugh and cry in the same episode every time. It's the most unique coming of age story of all time and it's not just one kid, the whole group goes on their own journeys. It's f****** incredible and it also made me start to deeply appreciate how beautiful the Native American culture is. And Zahn McClarnon is on that one too, as a *very different* type of cop, haha. AHO! YOUNG WARRIOR! WOO WOO!

Zahn is f****** hilarious as Big. "White man's bullets... Sugar. They made it to help kill us. You're helping to fund their efforts. Shit, we're still fighting chemical warfare, bro." - Big "What are you in line for, then?" "Energy drink.... It's natural... Made out of energy. It's 'organtic'." - Big

If you don't mind it not being American and instead Australian, I'd say try out Mystery Road series and movies. I enjoyed them a lot.

Came here to say Reservation Dogs, fantastic show that I wish didn't end. Echo wasn't my favorite marvel show but if you like that kind of thing its worth a shot.

There's a one season supernatural kind of... YA show from a few years ago. It's called [Trickster](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt11187454/) and is only 6 episodes, pretty quick watch

Tribal, it's a police series with Jessica Matten set in modern times. Alaska Daily, series about a news paper. Sullivan's Crossing is a drama series with with some native American cast and story lines. Blue Ridge is a crime-drama series (started with the movie), The Son is quite a harsh westernseries. Allegiance is a police series dealing with discrimination and class divide. Outlander as quite some native American story lines later on in the series. Frontier and Chief of War are also historical series.

Mystery Road (Australian) has a similar vibe.
