That could be true (and honestly has largely been the case with most all the conglomerates), but the difference here is the recent decisions and actions since they took over paramount. They’ve already shown they will interfere with the content being put out for political reasons.

Yep. Not only that, they’ll likely face some meaty legal consequences. Important context to all this is that Trump, despite how normalized he’s been made to be, is objectively a convicted felon who’s engaged in an absurd degree of blatant criminal activity since taking office for his second term. There’s just no way his administration walks free from this assuming they don’t manage to install a dictatorship in the next couple of years. It’s going to be really messy and we’ll likely be facing decades of legal proceedings.
