Damn, if this goes sideways, cuba is fucked.
41
hoppertn Mar 21, 2026 +17
Cuba’s just a side quest for this guy. Guaranteed someone’s made a presentation to him about hotels along the beaches and licensing his name to put on one. Only 90 miles from Florida Mr Trump! You could be like Michael Corleone!

onyxengine Mar 21, 2026 +1
This is exactly how he does anything terrible people with access pitch ways he can make money, and then. He just does it and asks for a cut. First it was government services, now its military expenses.. US government is a flamming pile of shit right now
1
viola-purple Mar 21, 2026 +7
They are already fucked...
7
Money_Statement_9861 Mar 21, 2026 +22
You forgot they already have cuba as the next target. Trump is drunk on power with the largest military on earth. This is disgusting that they think they can just destroy country after country just because they feel like it. This is f****** hitler shit and the fact that no one in the government really wants to curb it is insane.
22
hoppertn Mar 21, 2026 +8
You know I’m starting to think the people who voted for him right not be good guys.

Trumps chasing that high. Venezuela was such an easy hit, Iran is turning into a bad trip, so gonna extract Columbias President to get back on top!

Bubbles_2025 Mar 21, 2026 +8
He needs to go back to coke or start chasing the dragon and chase that high elsewhere.
8
BrizerorBrian Mar 21, 2026 +1
His high has always been notoriety and money. The notoriety can be good or bad. All press is good press.

If only people would stop talking about Epstein connections and the fact that > Donald Trump’s name appears in more than 38,000 references across the January 2026 document release, according to a New York Times review — spread across about 5,300 separate files. Geez. As he said, theres nothing there... /s And that is just the PUBLICLY RELEASED HALF OF THE FILES THAT THE DOJ IS LAWFULLY REQUIRED TO RELEASE. The DOJ is criminally complicit in a coverup and it is painfully obvious the whole damned world. So embarrassing.

Can someone just kidnap the St Tropez fake tan Stalin & his administration and try them for war crimes the way he thinks he can do to Venezuela?

The United States is Colombia's largest trading partner, accounting for 34 percent of Colombia's total trade, and Colombia is a top ten supplier of crude oil to the United States. Meanwhile, Colombia is the fifth-largest export market in the Western Hemisphere.

Yep, any leader we don't like develops a tie to drug traffickers. It's part of how we operate.

95
YouShouldGoOnStrike Mar 21, 2026 +46
I get the sarcasm but that's a democratically elected president. Never has that been contested.
46
ETxsubboy Mar 21, 2026 +28
But did they elect the person that Trump wanted them to? You know, someone that either Trump looks up to- corrupt and incapable of doing something for the good of the country unless he profits personally, or someone spineless enough to give up their country's natural resources, minerals, small children, and the odd prestigious award to Trump and the people he has surrounded himself with. Because if the person that your country elects dares to stand against Trump on anything? Then there is a plan being drafted to bring "American democracy" to your nation. One bomb at a time.

Depends on if there's a traitor around like Delcy or not. That doesn't happen naturally. Probably why Cuba wasn't the first and probably won't be next, as much as Rubio would like.
19
jimmy_talent Mar 21, 2026 +2
Pretty sure Cuba is next, this is laying the groundwork to do regime change in Columbia after we do regime change in Cuba.

IKillZombies4Cash Mar 21, 2026 +31
Is the U.S. trying to corner the oil market? Is this how the officials see the only way out of the debt bomb?
31
cyanescens_burn Mar 21, 2026 +17
I’m thinking part of it is also for the tech broligarchs to have more leverage and freedom to set up their nodes of their network state (the so called “freedom cities”). Basically anarcho-capitalist/right libertarian company controlled districts or cities, where they can develop technology and biotechnology/medicine without any regulations (there’s more to it than that, like controlling the financial system, because they can own all parts of it). These folks did some good coverage on it this week (part 1 of 2). https://open.spotify.com/episode/5vjK5blU9AiViLf3aSIXXW?si=C-tmV1GZQTGduEcVPNP3Ww https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-it-could-happen-here-30717896/episode/venture-capital-the-monster-fueling-tech-fascism-327260179

We are the number one consumer of oil in the world. The more oil producing counties that are under American control, the more "campaign contributions" everyone gets. By everyone I mean everyone who has the power to stop this madness but want us to believe that we need to be absolutely sure that there aren't "gender imposters" using the restroom in the stall next to us.
7
tsuab Mar 21, 2026 +57
What a joke. We are the world’s greatest sponsor of terror. The small silver lining of having an administration full of morons and shameless sellouts is that we can’t hide how evil we are.

I thought more about the putsch in Iran, regarding oil. But will check that one, didn't know about it. Didn't want to start until after WW2 - as a bavarian I'm quite glad the facists were gone when I was born

6
blerpblerp2024 Mar 21, 2026 +7
Cool, cool. So will we go with: Plan A. Send in a bunch of operators to kill anyone nearby and then kidnap the Colombian President (and wife?), OR Plan B. Drop a bunch of bombs to kill the President, heads of government agencies and all the important cartel leaders in Colombia, OR Plan C. Just keep dropping bombs until Colombia no longer exists as an economically viable country. Pretty sure our current Admin can't think outside of those boxes. Meanwhile, the DEA is also investigating these little jewels: >a scheme to leverage his “total peace” plan to benefit prominent traffickers who contributed to his presidential campaign. >allegations that representatives of Petro solicited bribes from drug traffickers at the Colombian jail La Picota in exchange for a promise that they not be extradited to the U.S Sound like a familiar pattern? I guess it's only corruption when it applies to people who aren't Trump and Co.
7
Whitehatnetizen Mar 21, 2026 +17
They're litteraly having their presidential elections in a couple months, and the president is very likely to be voted out can't they just wait?
17
NemeshisuEM Mar 21, 2026 +18
Colombian presidents are elected by popular vote for a single, four-year term and cannot be re-elected, according to the 1991 Constitution.
18
Whitehatnetizen Mar 21, 2026 +16
Ahh, so he won't even be voted out, he legally cannot be re-voted in!

Obviously no new wars really mean’t 4 new theaters of war. And the threatening to annex 2 allies.
3

I'm surprised Trump hasn't already pardoned this guy
3
Elzapatoverde Mar 21, 2026 +3
And you're believing the "US prosecutors" lmao, this is just the "drug boats" again. We don't have much oil in Colombia, but we do have a lot of rare metals, and the country would be a great beachhead in South America. Please don't be naive, this is not about drugs (again).
3

What about corrupt felon leaders in America? Why don’t we ‘priority target him’? It’s America first after all….

cyanescens_burn Mar 21, 2026 +2
Maybe they got high off the first Iran hit (the refining facilities) and then the fairly smooth hit in Venezuela, but were surprised at the public opinion and fighting back from the current Iran attack (I read he was surprised Iran hit so many neighbors) which made them bummed out when it got so complicated and people were mad in the US, so now they want another high from what they think will be an easy win. Or they just want to make it easier for US companies to do whatever the hell they want down there with no regulations. What do I know?
2
GreyBeardEng Mar 21, 2026 +2
Maybe the cartel leaders in their families should be priority targets.

Another to distract from the other war to distract from the files
1
cyanescens_burn Mar 21, 2026
What do you think, did that Chinese government agency actually get all the unredacted files? It was in the news this week. I read a while back that some hacker (at least a year or more ago) got into the files, was disgusted by it, and then contacted the FBI to report the owner of the files. The FBI apparently had to work hard to convince the hacker that they were the real FBI and in control of the files. Point being, some random hacker got into them, a state actor like a Chinese cyber unit probably could too, especially when combined with more old school espionage and social engineering.

1
SubstantialPressure3 Mar 21, 2026 +1
Okay, someone explain to me which drug traffickers, who are presidents of other countries are good, and which ones are bad? One former president gets pardoned while they are imprisoned in the US, and the other gets kidnapped and brought to the US. Has there been any other time in American history that we have kidnapped a leader of a foreign country and just told everyone about it? That alone is pretty wild. Much less kidnapping one, and releasing another one that did exactly the same thing.
