In the title of the youtube video (DEEP WATER Official Trailer (2026) Aaron Eckhart, Sharks) the sharks get second billing, which is fair for a shark movie I think

Oh my god, that underacted "ahhhhh" by Ben Kingsley at [0:45](https://youtu.be/xpJmAzAwiiI?t=44) is hilarious.

Same hilarious old man energy with DeNiro in The Irishman kicking the guy. And why is an 82 yr old flying commercial planes?

Holy shit, didn't realize his age when watching Wonder Man.

i kind of dig that ben kingsley seems to have either fallen in love for bad/silly movies or been conned by children or grand children to be in stupid movies for them to watch lol

Every actor doing shitty movies near the end of their career for one reason only (regardless of their claims) and it's money.

Shark: this time, it’s personal

I will watch almost any shark movie at least once. Sold. I have no shame, I like shark movies.

Did you see Beast of War? From last year

arashi256 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Of course! I actually didn't think much of it. Trailer was better than the movie.

Apparently he has a bad reputation and is hard to work with

'I, Frankenstein' was Oscar worthy!

I really like this movie.

Shark still looks fake

FlaviusVespasian Mar 26, 2026 +2
To be fair, if it was a real shark, you’d be upset that they put the actors in such an unsafe situation.
2
Rynetx Mar 26, 2026 +10
I’d be more pissed they are hurting a real shark.

I'm only really interested in movies where sharks are the good guy. Like a shark Sheriff, or a shark that's a Delta tier 1 operator trying to save a little girl trapped in the middle of the ocean surrounded by pirates.

DeKrieg Mar 26, 2026 +3
I swear we had this exact movie 3-4 years ago already, except the whole plane was under water.

FiftyShadesOfGregg Mar 26, 2026 +3
Oh well see, this one’s realistic.

Sizzlinbettas Mar 26, 2026 +4
this looks terrible, like actually awful a mash up of no way up which wasn't good and other super generic shark movies...what a bummer

AdCharming924 Mar 26, 2026 +2
I love how the people who uploaded this trailer prioritized "Sharks" in the title over Academy Award w***** Ben Kingsley.

LeavesOfBrass Mar 26, 2026 +2
Ben Kingsley deserves better than this. Does he need the money that badly?

Douglasqqq Mar 26, 2026 +2
"Deep Water". Cool. Why can these shark movies never have halfway decent titles? Even the one set in Paris didn't think to call itself Shark de Triomphe.

This looks terrible. I’ll be at a theater opening weekend

Deep blue sea used animatronic sharks when possible….this is why it and Jaws are so impactful This looks like WB megalodon with pointless goofy looking CGI

Stealth comedy? Ben Kingsley for sure dies in the first 10 minutes.

AlbertW25 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Director of Die Hard 2 AND DEEP BLUE SEA!? I'm sold.

Blammo32 Mar 27, 2026 +1
Kingsley and Eckhart have both made so much slop by this stage in their careers that I’m actually curious why they need that much money. Like, do good movies just not pay that well or are they made so infrequently nowadays that actors have to churn out trash on the side just to pay the bills?

Someone once asked me what my worst way of dying would be, and I said “being in a plane crash over the ocean, only to survive and end up in shark infested waters.” My two biggest fears are flying and sharks. This movie was made for me.

SpaceGoonie Mar 27, 2026 +1
A Stranded Deep movie would have been better. Also, that shark movement at 1:39 is unforgivable.

Aaron Eckhart is the man.

Imagine having the director of “Die Hard 2” and “Deep Blue Sea” as your credits. Deep Blue Sea was maybe the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen in a movie theater. I mean, extra points for killing not one but two main characters while maintaining one of the most dipshit plots I’ve ever seen. Renny Harlin keeps getting work but most folks work at Starbucks. World keeps a spinnin’.

ye_olde_green_eyes Mar 26, 2026 +3
I thought Deep Blue Sea was so dumb it was fun. It is by no means a good film.

DeKrieg Mar 26, 2026 -2
There are far too many die hard 2 apologists out there.
-2
TheWhooooBuddies Mar 27, 2026 +2
They’re hating, but it’s undeniably the weakest of the “real” trilogy.

idkwat Mar 26, 2026 -2
Is that f****** Ben Kingsley and Glenn Close? You gotta wonder who the agents for these people are. Going from epics like Gandhi and Fatal Attraction to this shitty shark movie.
-2
Hollow_Rant Mar 26, 2026 +3
Ben Kingsley seems like he's tired of prestige acting and just wants to have fun.
