I gave Newsweek a click so you wouldn't have to: >"I mean I don't think all of that much about it right, he's one of 115,000 registered voters in District 87," she told CNN.

00notmyrealname00 Mar 25, 2026 +2830
That's sly. She basically said he's a nobody. That's worse than calling him names to him. Very clever.

I took it as, "he's not more important than anyone else". I recall Trump hates being compared to "everybody else". There was a saying some friends of his would say behind his back that went along the lines of: "If he and a rival were offered a deal where they each get 50/50, he will intentionally sink the deal so that he and his rival will get 0." He would rather everyone (him included) get nothing instead of sharing, if he can't have it all.
1021
All_Hail_Hynotoad Mar 25, 2026 +376
She followed that up by emphasizing that the focus was on issues like affordable property insurance and strong public schools, things that would benefit all her constituents.

dalgeek Mar 25, 2026 +157
That's commie talk in Florida.
157
tfenraven Mar 25, 2026 +83
That's what Florida peeps want to hear though. Their property insurance is through the roof.
83
PipXXX Mar 25, 2026 +52
We have tons of people who b**** about property taxes, then b**** about why schools aren't funded properly (But also ok with affluent schools which are already well supported by the area, getting way more funds than struggling schools)
52
AndrewCoja Mar 25, 2026 +23
They want whatever group they are part of to get property tax relief, which just means other people have to pay more taxes to make up for it.
23
IntelligentStyle402 Mar 25, 2026 +14
Az has joined the list. Our property insurance and car insurance has doubled. Why is nobody talking about republican corporations ripping we the people off?
14
girl_incognito Mar 26, 2026 +3
As well it should be. Insurance cost is a function of risk and theirs is through the roof.

MsTponderwoman Mar 26, 2026 +1
Nothing (e.g., welfare, charity, free stuff, communism, socialism, fascism, etc.) is bad if it benefits them personally. People who vote R do not think in/about ideals or values so it’s pointless to point out they had believed in this or that—they don’t, just whatever benefits them at the moment. This is also why accusing them of hypocrisy is moot and falls on deaf ears. In life and politics, the R voter answer to who gets the last cookie is *always* them.

MySmellyRacoon Mar 25, 2026 +22
“He’s not more important than anyone else” is basically the same as calling him a nobody. You just repeated what the other guy said with more words.
22
austen_317 Mar 25, 2026 +12
Disagree. “Nobody is important” is not the same as “everybody is important.”
12
labe225 Mar 25, 2026 +15
I agree if we're talking about normal people. But to Trump, saying "you're no more important than any of my other constituents" is going to be perceived as an insult.
15
wanawachee Mar 25, 2026 +9
Arguably, "When everybody is important, nobody is important." But Syndrome said it best, "Everyone can be super. And when everyone's super... Nobody is."

One implies that he will be treated equally as the other constituents and the other implies that he doesn’t matter at all to be represented.
3
symphonicrox Mar 25, 2026 +2
That's the concern about if he loses bigly that he'd rather there be no country at all left than a country without him in charge. I wouldn't put it past him to use a nuke on "leftist liberal" states.

100%. I live on the west coast & I’m genuinely more terrified of my own government dropping a bomb on us than anyone else. I don’t want to die to feed the ego of a nonce on borrowed time.

1
Wonderful-Impact-598 Mar 25, 2026 +1
If a deal is for $10 and Trump splits it with his rival, they both get $5 or 50% of the total each. If a deal is for $1000 and Trump splits it with his rival, they both get $500 or 50% of the total each. *But* if the deal is for $0 and Trump splits it with his rival, they both get $0, or 100% of the total each. See how we should all be grateful to Trump for increasing the size of the pie for everyone‽

It’s the truth, and how it should be.  He’s not necessarily a nobody, but he is just another one of her constituents, with the same rights and responsibilities.

Would have been neat if she could have started naming other constituents she had talked with and why she is happy to represent her district.

2

Why don’t Democrats target him? He dropped all the cases against himself: judged his own trial. The corruption is unprecedented. Do something, elected representatives!!!!! Investigate his robbery of top secret documents. His election interference. His selling pardons. His taking bribes and emoluments.

Who illegally voted perhaps since he is a felon??? She should look into that.
19
SummonerSausage Mar 25, 2026 +27
I'd look more into his residency. This is from Wikipedia. >In September 2019, Mar-a-Lago became the primary residence for Donald and Melania Trump, who previously held primary residence in New York City.[143][144] The legality of this was disputed because, in 1993, Trump signed a "use agreement" with the town of Palm Beach, Florida, that changed Mar-a-Lago's designation from a single-family residence to a private club and specified that guests, including Trump, could not stay there more than three non-consecutive weeks per year.
27
cedarpark Mar 25, 2026 +2
Donny gets around that agreement by claiming he is an employee of Mar a Lago and is being paid to live on site.
2
SummonerSausage Mar 25, 2026 +3
I'd believe that if he weren't also the owner. Maybe he should release his tax returns to provide some evidence of him paying himself.
3
wesrawr Mar 25, 2026 +11
New York allows felons to vote, and Florida follows the rule of the state that declares person a felon
11
gcerullo Mar 25, 2026 +3
This person needs to learn how to troll Trump to keep him on his toes just like he likes to do to everyone else. Should have said there are going to be many investigations regarding violations happening at Mar-a-lago.
3

Honestly to a malignant narcissist, being bushed aside and told that you're 'just another person' is like the worst possible torture.

To be fair, she literally said she doesn't think about him.
2
RobonianBattlebot Mar 25, 2026 +1
Thats not trolling, thats just antagonizing. Telling a malignant narcissist that he doesnt mean any more than anybody else, that he is just one of 100k people and she doesn't even think about it are expert level troll tactics.

I remember a similar comment when a trans woman was elected to a state senate. She was asked about how what her response is to her opponent calling her a man and other transphobic shit. She said something along the lines of "my response is to work for his rights, because he's one of my constituents now."

He voted by mail in that election (something he says is cheating and needs to be banned) just to still not get his way and lose. What a loser. I hope Emily kills it because it’ll be great to see how MAGA responds to actual leadership after being led by a dumbass.

MAGA responds to actual leadership with obstinance and tantrums. They couldn’t be bothered to wear a simple mask to protect people but have no issue with masked people terrorizing. They’re professional crybabies and victims. They get upset when people try to actively improve their lives. Of course they’re going to be giant f****** babies about it.

There [isn't a golf course at Mar-a-Lago](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar-a-Lago). It's a 'hotel' with a 'spa' (of course) and tennis courts.

Wrong. They have no intention of enforcing laws that would negatively affect their ‘in group’ but are happy to have laws against being in that ‘other’ group.

> The upset also comes amid a series of special election gains for the Democrats, which they have highlighted as momentum heading into the 2026 midterms. Republicans have dismissed that a "Democratic wave" is occurring. Ok. Here’s what they’ve dismissed so far. Daily Beast - [Democrats Flip Mar-a-Lago in Personal Humiliation for Trump](https://www.thedailybeast.com/democrats-flip-mar-a-lago-in-personal-humiliation-for-trump/) “Democrats have now flipped 30 state seats since Trump’s election, including the Florida seats in Tuesday’s special elections. Republicans have flipped zero. Earlier this month, Democrats also flipped a New Hampshire seat that Trump won easily in both 2020 and 2024, as well as an Arkansas one, where the Democrat won by double digits.”

>"My opponent made him \[Trump\] forefront in his campaign and I focused more on the voters in District 87—what everybody needs, what all of us will do better with, with lower property insurance, with expanded health care and with strong public schools." I have this theory that if it suddenly became illegal to air FoxNews in Florida, Texas, etc etc, within a decade those states would flip blue if they didn’t have literal propaganda telling them the “outrage of the week” and to vote against their own interests because a policy might positively impact their communities, but there’s a 6% chance that some undocumented visa overstayer may also benefit so it’s entirely bad and should be shot down.

What no one is talking about is that a convicted felon just voted in Florida. You can only have your voting rights restored if you have completed the terms of your sentence, which Dumb Donnie has not.
5

A convicted felon voted by mail in Florida using an address that cannot legally be claimed as a residence. It's voter fraud x2.

Florida allows it because he was convicted in New York, not Florida
