F****** Fetterman. He’s absolutely worthless.

Reconstruction 2028 can’t just focus on Trump, Democrats need to also go after Sinema and Fetterman for their obvious grifting. Use civil forfeiture of every last asset they own and investigations up their asses until Hillary Clinton will actually feel bad for them. Make it toxic to do business with them. Make it toxic to accept their kids into elite schools. Make it toxic to like their Tweets.

It can't be reconstruction 2028, it must be reconstruction 2032. We must win and then hold onto that victory like Hell. We need to bury MAGA, the neoconservative, the corporatists dems, and all of the others who made this possible, and them we need to pour concrete over the grave. They must never rise again.

caligaris_cabinet Mar 24, 2026 +1
Reconstruction 2030s. I want the pendulum for the next decade to swing hard for the left and purge us of the fascist uprising of the 2020s. It’s time for the FDR of the 21st century

FrogsOnALog Mar 24, 2026 +1
Sinema isn’t a senator anymore…
1
Prior_Coyote_4376 Mar 24, 2026 +1
Yes. And?
1
FrogsOnALog Mar 24, 2026 +1
Seems like a wild waste of f****** time to go after someone who is no longer a senator lol
1
Prior_Coyote_4376 Mar 24, 2026 +1
Trump seems to go after everyone who even looked at him wrong while taking a chainsaw to his own bureaucracy and hemorrhaging employees, so it really doesn’t seem that hard and we only have to do it a few times to set precedent

TheTerribleInvestor Mar 24, 2026 +1
Ahh Joe Biden's trump strategy
1
Lobster15s Mar 24, 2026 +1
They won't. Edit to add. David Hogg tried to primary these dems to clean up the party.

brattysweat Mar 24, 2026 +1
Weird you jump to reconstruction era when there was a very important event preceding it 🤗

nbajohna Mar 24, 2026 +1
Sad, the guy has serious brain damage/cognitive disabilities, which does qualify him be a MAGA cult member. The voters of PA must be so mad at themselves for voting for this person.
1
SoftRuntime Mar 24, 2026 +1
Exactly he worth nothing
1
AvarusTyrannus Mar 24, 2026 +1
Seems pretty useful in his present position. He's despised already so no need to pin someone else with the DNC rotating villain strategy. They'll always have just enough votes or not enough, whatever the system orders up.

"Democratic Senators John Fetterman of Pennsylvania and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico crossed party lines to support the nomination, while Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky was the sole GOP member to vote against it. Senator Ruben Gallego, Democrat of Arizona, did not vote."
1
whatproblems Mar 24, 2026 +1
but why? this guy seems terrible unqualified choice
1
theflowersarefake Mar 24, 2026 +1
have you gotten anything close to a sufficient answer to any ‘why?’ in the past 14 months?
1
portlandobserver Mar 24, 2026 +1
I blame them and all the other demorats, especially the leadership. None of you know how to play politics? Offer Republicans something to sway their vote? Speak out against this guy more?? "Oh, well we honor the decorum of the Senate and wouldn't speak ill of any of it's members...."
1
GlobalistCabal Mar 24, 2026 +1
This is why we have Primaries. New Mexico and PA democrats, don’t let them get away with this.
1
turtle75377 Mar 24, 2026 +1
And Arizona

femme_mystique Mar 24, 2026 +1
We need ways to recall any elected official.

>"Democratic Senators [John Fetterman](https://www.newsweek.com/topic/john-fetterman) of Pennsylvania and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico crossed party lines to support the nomination, while Republican Senator [Rand Paul](https://www.newsweek.com/topic/rand-paul) of Kentucky was the sole GOP member to vote against it. 1
Ok_Mixture4917 Mar 24, 2026 +1
Fetterman was a Democrat, then had a few strokes and some severe brain damage and became a Republican.  RFK was a Democrat, then fed chunks of his brain to a worm and suffered severe brain damage and became a Republican.  Conclusion? Republicans have severe  brain damage.
1
BoomerSoonerFUT Mar 24, 2026 +1
Fetterman has always been a shithead underneath.
1
jizzlevania Mar 24, 2026 +1
fetterman parents are super maga and bank rolled his entire (political) career along so the prodigal son merely returned to his his fathers fold.
1
Angry_Pterodactyl Mar 24, 2026 +1
> had a few strokes and some severe brain damage and became a Republican Totally tracks
1
ThorvaldtheTank Mar 24, 2026 +1
It’s the same with career fighters and football players. Take a f*** ton of hits to the head and become a MAGA
1
Strawberry_Little Mar 24, 2026 +1
Nah fetterman has always been an shady opportunist

Fetal alcohol syndrome and lead poisoning in multiple generations

He's not the only one pretending. The dude in Maine is likely a plant too. I'm sure there are others.
1
caligaris_cabinet Mar 24, 2026 +1
I hope not. Bernie endorsed him. And the alternative is a 78 year old woman who isn’t much further to the left than Collins.
1
GestureArtist Mar 24, 2026 +1
I hope not too. It’s hard to know.
1
CoachDT Mar 24, 2026 +1
Graham isnt a plant. Hes just someone with poor decision making. He looks likely to win his primary so while I dont like him I hope he wins.
1
boochas Mar 24, 2026 +1
Honestly I find it very amusing voting him in has blown up in Democrats faces.
1
TheGOPisTheDeepState Mar 24, 2026 +1
Fetterman is a Republican and needs to be replaced.
1
PartyClient3447 Mar 24, 2026 +1
Fetterman has become a well known ass. Never heard of Heinrich till now. Guess he has claimed his 15 minutes of infamy.
1
GoodIdea321 Mar 24, 2026 +1
Heinrich said he considers Markwayne a friend, which really makes me wonder about the Heinrich guy. However, that's some change in the senate, I can't say I care that much that two democratic senators voted for the guy who would have been confirmed without him. Fetterman does have a long list of insane things he has said and done the last few years, he should be primaried.
1
Vegetable-Error-2068 Mar 24, 2026 +1
The pattern repeats. There are always enough Democrats to vote with Republicans to advance the Republican agenda.
1
Equal-Membership1664 Mar 24, 2026 +1
It's the clearest sign of donor control. Money in politics does not a democracy make.
1
turtle75377 Mar 24, 2026 +1
And every generation gets a Dem that always votes with Republicans to stop real change. It's just fetrermens turn
1
hallonemikec Mar 24, 2026 +1
Almost like it's planned that way huh?
1
steponmedaddies Mar 24, 2026 +1
Without these two it would have passed 52-47. Do you have brainworms?
1
KartFacedThaoDien Mar 24, 2026 +1
That was my first thought before anyone even said anything. The GOP only needs 50 votes and their are currently 52 Republicans who could've voted yes and the GOP holds the tie breaker.
1
KartFacedThaoDien Mar 24, 2026 +1
Couldn't he have been confirmed without any democrats though
1
steponmedaddies Mar 24, 2026 +1
These two votes were literally irrelevant. Have you guys ever actually read an article? Not to mention that calling Fetterman a Democrat is a f****** joke.
1
SpudgeBoy Mar 24, 2026 +1
John Fuckerman

Mikethebest78 Mar 24, 2026 +1
I would say what I really think about them but I don't want to take the chance of a week long suspension.
1
papibigdaddy Mar 24, 2026 +1
Gallego is still leagues better than Sinema and thank God he beat Kari Lake, but between this and the Laiken Riley Act, and supporting Trump's immigration policies, he's on a shaky path. Coming from a state that mobilized en masse to help defeat SB1070, where Latinos were terrorized by Joe Arpaio's thugs and are still terrorized by vigilantes to this day, one where Latino votes face massive voter suppression, where Latinos and not even being able to vote against Mullin who will oversee massive due process violations even more voter suppression. I can appreciate that he represents a divided state, but you can't advocate for DREAMers and asylum seekers as much as he does while also voting for a law that denies them due process protections, presumes guilt without a conviction, and not even fighting for provisions to protect DACA, noncitizen residents, and people in the asylum process.
1
Taurius2 Mar 24, 2026 +1
Part of me... the tiny of tiny part of me thinks they did this so Mullin will screw up so bad, the GOP will lose any chance of a majority for the next 30 plus years... We're talking 0.03% chance. The bar has been set to Tartarus lvl at this point.
1
rooftopgoblin Mar 24, 2026 +1
there's no 4th dimensional chess being played here. They are collaborators in our fascist takeover
1
ryguyy629 Mar 24, 2026 +1
The level of metal gymnastics needed to justify these Democrats’ action is absurd, lol. Each time these confirmations come around, they remind me that the Democrats are effectively controlled opposition. Whenever Nuremberg 2.0 (hopefully) comes, the Democratic Party needs to be burnt to the ground, shortly after the GOP does, of course. Not making fun of you, btw. Don’t want it to come across as that
1
modohobo Mar 24, 2026 +1
Start naming all of the Republicans as well. There are good Republicans but anyone who votes pro child molester needs to be named

flossymcwobblestein Mar 24, 2026 +1

Here's the problem with primarying John Fetterman, and I don't think people would like to acknowledge it, but it's reality. Let's say he loses, who do you nominate? Shapiro would not be the worst idea, but he clearly has presidential ambition, something Fetterman has called out multiple times. And then Democrats run the risk of nominating somebody further left and losing the moderate right. John Fetterman largely got his seat by winning suburban Republicans; if we all remember, his opponent was, ironically enough Dr Oz. Fetterman still votes with Democrats more times than not, but he just doesn't always preach from the same book. I think it's the Democratic Party would be doing itself a great disservice by primarying him.
1
caligaris_cabinet Mar 24, 2026 +1
Pennsylvania is very much a purple state but Fetterman is acting like Manchin in WV, the most solidly red state. Someone will come up to primary him. Remember Talarico was basically unknown until a few months ago. Now he’s the Democratic nominee and may very well win in November.

rooftopgoblin Mar 24, 2026 +1
shapiro is too pro israel for modern day politics

bosgeest Mar 24, 2026 +1
I think that having a Democrat vote with the Republicans all the time hurts the Democrats more than having a Republican there. It gives off the image of Democrats giving Republicans the votes when they need them. It might just discourage the left wing of the party to not vote, just just in his state but nationwide. Besides if there's any moment to replace him, is when there's momentum to the left. Trump's historical unpopularity might just do the trick.
