Paywall in everyday news shouldn’t be normal.. investment related news can go behind paywall.

Nearly every newsworthy story now has investment implications…
The newspapers have a target audience and it isn’t you or me anymore. They want us on FOX “news” with their 16 point font…

Doesn't seem like a sensible plan. They know damn well that neither the United States or Israel cares how many British people get blown up.

That still creates division in the west, wounds that will leave scars even after Trump is gone.

Even after Trump is going scars will probably remain the matter what. Only idiots would trust that US won't do the stupid things of electing someone like Trump again.

Oh sure we get Iran threads being removed for being “politics” but this unsubstantiated claim gets to stay up.
TLDR- the couple is in prison for espionage (believable) and their family says they are being used as shields because now Israel can’t bomb the prison.

> the couple is in prison for espionage (believable)
This is an interesting thing, because whenever Iran (or Russia, or whichever country) arrests someone they claim to be a spy, we hear stories in the West about how they're just ordinary people being used for political games. On the one hand, I fully believe Iran would take innocent people hostage, but at the same time, I don't believe UK, US, Israel, et al. would ever be like "Fair play, Iran. You caught our guys," if the detainees really were spies. I mean, of course spies are going to have an unremarkable cover story. So it's hard to know what to make of these situations.

In each war, the 1st casualty is the TRUTH. I don't believe a single word coming out of Western Media during war time. CNN, FOX, MSNBC are creaming in their pants over this. The unsubstantiated claim that the Iran Govt killed 30K people is still unverified, but you see people all over the Media and Social Media, running with that narrative as if it's a fact.

You know, it is possible to accept both positions - that the Iranian regime indiscriminately killed thousands of protestors (as reported by Iranians themselves and families of the victims), as well as accepting that the US is fighting an illegal war to benefit oil oligarchs, distract from the Epstein files, and potentially to disrupt elections. Both MAGA and the Iranian regime are evil. It's the people there suffering.

If you believe us media during this war, than you have made your position.

This situation totally reminds me of the 2003 Iraq War and its lead up.
Any criticism of the government was considered "unpatriotic" and "Un-American" and of course, "Communist".
That's how our government silences dissent, by calling people by those names.

Some people have loved ones there, potentially ageing or sick parents, but I guess extending a bit of empathy to people in warzones is falling for a "sob story"....

There is a risk, but it's not like is high. There are a few millions of tourists every year, so assumingly there is a few thousands of British among them.

Right… that’s the first thing I think… like never travel to a single place that doesn’t consistently apply or enforce laws. Sadly these days, if I didn’t live in the US, I wouldn’t consider visiting.

No no guys ~~Hamas~~ Iran is totally using human shields, there is nothing more complicated at play, and that means it's ok to bomb them.
Actually videotaped instances of human shields by the IDF or the US military? Nah, focus on these totally legit reports.
