If that’s the case why wouldn’t they just present that as their defense in the original trial? This feels like they’re just trying a completely new defense.

Interesting-Value690 Apr 9, 2026 +94
I'd guess that they didn't use it as a defense in the first trial because it takes money, time and traceable interactions to manufacture false evidence. How much money would it take for you to sign (and back date) a p*** contract for a monster?

soapinthepeehole Apr 10, 2026 +10
I thought appeal was only for challenging the legitimacy of the prosecution. I’m not a lawyer but I was under the impression that you can’t just on a new defense when appealing.

Dookie-Snuff Apr 10, 2026 +1
About a million, I’d say 5 but take a million.
1
Lisan-al-Gaib-65 Apr 9, 2026 +13
You can't raise new arguments on appeal. This probably was in a pre trial motion to dismiss .
13
MrDerpGently Apr 9, 2026 +46
After further consideration, would the court consider a little leniency if most... well, many of the participants were there consensually?

"Your honor, the bank robbery was merely a "flash mob" and my co-defendants and I are in an improv troop. Therefore, the charges are improv-able. I rest my case."

Ah, the “Yes, and…” Defense
21
Theshaggz Apr 9, 2026 +6
Only second to the “No, but…” defense
6
baddingo3 Apr 10, 2026 +3
not a great analogy but i get it.
3
bush_killed_epstein Apr 10, 2026 +3
This randomly gave me an idea for a dark comedy/ drama movie: an improv troupe full of troubled but well meaning amateur actors whose “yes ands” gradually get more and more extreme until they end up committing extreme crimes / acts
3
AtBat3 Apr 9, 2026 +3
Probably went with the Trump method of denying everything about every single charge and that obviously didn’t work
3
ogredmenace Apr 9, 2026 +2
So they must have contracts written and signed and by all the consenting people to be filmed in them right!? Everyone involved right!
2
joshspoon Apr 9, 2026 +1
Also did he have an o******* and did he pay everyone?
1
vroart Apr 10, 2026 +1
Cause such a mess that trump has to swoop in and make it about himself and then say “I too was a victim of the weaponized New York justice system!”
1
JustToyingAround73 Apr 9, 2026 +169
I used to work on the p*** industry. At no time ever did we feel it necessary to drug the lubrication or it's actors/actresses.
169
alilhillbilly Apr 9, 2026 +47
In fact, that's a great way to run afoul of protections for p***. F*** this guy. I used to work for Playboy and we were crazy about releases and other things.
47
SarahArabic2 Apr 9, 2026 +24
i still do and drugs are extremely prohibited on any production set. you can’t consent if you’re high. where are the film release? (required) Where are the 2257? (with photos of everyone and their IDs.) Where is the location release and all the other safety documents and require requirements that we do on every single scene I’ve ever been on… where are they Diddy?
24
HazardousLazarus Apr 10, 2026 +4
It's really crazy to see you multiple times in the comments section on Listnook. What a time to be alive.
4
tooclosetocall82 Apr 9, 2026 +6
I haven’t read much into the freak offs. They were drugging the lube?
6
DrunkenDude123 Apr 10, 2026 +1
Or beat and extort them.. just bc you recorded it doesn’t make it legal or “protected by the 1st amendment”
1
hashtaglurking Apr 10, 2026
How do you drug lubrication?
0
RavenRainTie Apr 10, 2026 +4
There are drugs and aphrodisiacs that affect a person just by making skin contact.
4
hashtaglurking Apr 10, 2026 -2
Hmmm...I don't want to know why you know that. 😅
-2
JustToyingAround73 Apr 10, 2026 +6
They know this because most adults know that drugs can also be absorbed by the body internally, not just by sniffing, smoking or consumption.
6
EchoesofIllyria Apr 10, 2026 +1
How do you think things like pain relief creams work?
1
hashtaglurking Apr 10, 2026
How do you not know how to read and comprehend?
0
EchoesofIllyria Apr 10, 2026 +1
Let me clarify for you since you’re adamant about being a silly goose: They know about it because rub-in drugs exist in medical contexts too. Have a *great* day.
1
hashtaglurking Apr 10, 2026
Insults followed by passive-aggression. Nice!

“Thank you for the clarification” Ah no worries :)

Is beating a woman and dragging her by her hair also covered by the first amendment?

Your honor, cavemen did this many years ago. It’s nothing more than a sign of affection.
4
chiaboy Apr 9, 2026 +9
That wasn’t what he was charged for.
9
Encyclopenia Apr 9, 2026 +9
INCREDIBLY So
9
Glad_Position3592 Apr 9, 2026 +14
Agreed. It seems like the prosecutors really shit the bed when it came to the actual charges. This guy did horrible, vile shit and all they came up with was a long shot RICO charge and a bullshit prostitution technicality? Like, he f****** raped a lot of people
14
OrangeThrower Apr 9, 2026 +1
It was a rhetorical question
1
chiaboy Apr 9, 2026 -6
More so an irrelevant defamatory distraction that attempts to widen the scope of discussion without adding clarity. Focus people. Stay on topic.
-6
OrangeThrower Apr 9, 2026 +5
Stay on topic? Like the bad things the dude did that there is video evidence of? Okay will do
5
Encyclopenia Apr 9, 2026 +2
… the f*** ? Are you saying it’s defamatory to say he beat and dragged a woman by the hair ? Because there is actual footage of this, so I really don’t get it ?
2
chiaboy Apr 9, 2026 -1
No. I’m saying it’s out of scope for the trial and related legal defense. Ie the topic. It’s like discussing the attack on Iran and then bringing up the fact that Trump buried his first wife on a golf course. Yeah we know he’s a piece of shit but that’s not what we’re discussing.
-1
Encyclopenia Apr 9, 2026 +2
Hence … the comment specifying it was rhetorical
2
chiaboy Apr 9, 2026 -1
Exactly. It has nothing to do with the trial, the appeal, the charges or the first amendment. Rhetorical in the stupidest f****** way
-1
Encyclopenia Apr 9, 2026 +4
Or maybe it’s worth being brought to everyone’s attention any chance we get ? Domestic violence should always be talked about, since it’s so rarely punished.
4

How f****** noble. You guys are doing the lords work here. (F****** white people are so f****** delusional). Sorry, SOME white peoples

Doi, it was clearly method acting for their amateur p**********. How else do you ever expect them to go pro?
2

Makes you wonder...where is her right to not be abused against her will? Jesus, these rich guys. They just really believe they are above the law.
2

No but it is mandatory for anyone who wishes to hold a high office in the Trump regime.
1

He alleged that was a separate incident and not related to the other charges.

Your emojis seem to mock her. A victim can choose how they want justice. They are still a victim.
6
Specialist_Key_8606 Apr 9, 2026 +3
I think a lot of people fail to realize how defense treats victims on the stand in sexual assault cases. That’s true for women who were abused by no-name predators. I could not imagine testifying as a victim in such a high-profile situation. It has to be worse. You are right, it’s up to the victim to decide what justice looks like.

SgtHulkasBigToeJam Apr 9, 2026 +24
In p**** (amateur or otherwise) both actors must be willing participants
24
GinInfusedGopherToes Apr 9, 2026 +48
Actually, I think the judge should give that sick f*** more time now for taking zero accountability and showing no remorse. But money. 🤷
48
_IndyCar Apr 9, 2026 +24
Doesn’t amateur p**** come with its own set of regulations? Like doesn’t every guest have to know and willingly be part of that to begin with?

Red-Sun-Cinema Apr 9, 2026 +14
I guess all those men and women who accused Diddy of being drugged and raped against their will were just amateur p*** stars trying to break into the industry. If so, why would they go through him since he has no foot in the professional p*** industry. Just another lame excuse he's using to get out of serving time.
14

I like lube as much as the next woman, but I don't have a second home filled to the brim with lube bottles.

> Diddy's lawyers claim the Mann Act doesn't apply ... "Freak-offfs and hotel nights were highly choreographed sexual performances involving the use of costumes, role play, and staged lighting which were filmed so Combs and his girlfriends could watch this amateur p********** later. P********** production and viewing of this sort is protected by the First Amendment and thus cannot constitutionally be prosecuted." > Prosecutors call the claims "meritless, but Diddy's prosecution is not a classic Mann Act. > Diddy's legal team is also arguing the 50-month sentence is out of line with sentencing guidelines -- they say the typical sentence is 15 months. Diddy has served 19 months. > The Defense says the judge considered evidence connected to the more serious charges -- racketeering and sex trafficking -- of which Diddy was acquitted. In other words, any evidence of force or coercion, so says the defense, was out of bounds for the judge to consider, and that includes the Cassie video.

I was for sure ready to bet on a prison break. Like I thought we were at that point. His best bet would be to hire up some Legionnaire/Mercenary, whatever types, pull some legs maneuver to schedule a hear and have some dudes sprint him in transport. I honestly thought that was what he was going to pull. I’m talking little assault dudes with uzis dangling from helicopters And shit lol
