You're never 2 fast when you're not 2 furious. Never.

The disc never buffers.

>The disc never buffers I dunno. There’s a guy here who owns a Dodge Journey who has reported serious issues with its DVD player. Remember reading this ages ago in some thread.

I wonder if he ever got that sorted out...

Clearly you've never met the player in my dodge Journey when it tries to read burned DVDs

Unfortunately it can happen, for example with entry level players (xbox one S) and high bitrate 4K blurays. Between the types of blurays, types of HDR, etc, it's a big mess and all discs don't work perfectly on all players.

Neither does my Plex server

Switch to Jellyfin, my dude. You’re welcome.

I've read about it, but I don't see any reason to switch. With Plex everything works perfectly, skip intro/credit, live hd IPTV with DVR, etc. Any specific reasons it's better in your opinion?

I bought a lifetime subscription and Plex absolutely shits the bed on x265 files. I could never get it to work. They also shitified it with adding streaming channels and constantly mixing suggestions up with my personal files. Jellyfin is absolutely clean and smooth. It’s everything I wanted Plex to be a decade ago.

90%+ of my content is x265 and it plays direct. I have lossless ~75gb remux blu-rays, and they will direct play even remotely. But it also transcodes just fine, multiple simultaneously (I have a mini PC that doesn't even have a gpu). I have no issues at all. It sounds like you didn't have it set up properly. >They also shitified it with adding streaming channels and constantly mixing suggestions up with my personal files. You can turn off their stuff and just show your content. You can customize it. When I open Plex I only see my stuff. I never see their content because I hid it. You bought a lifetime sub and didn't even take the time to correct your settings before switching lol

I will admit that it might be user error on my part and maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I’m not here to sell you on Jellyfin and you use whatever works for you. I prefer open source and whatever is low load in general. I have all of that working without touching a setting.

Your first comment was literally you telling me to switch lol. And I didn't really change many settings, I'm just saying it sounds like yours was incorrect. The fact that jellyfin worked without changing anything is also probably a coincidence, considering it's less polished and usually requires more setup. I honestly think you're missing out if you have a lifetime pass. Plex has way better features and apps (especially the smart tv apps) from what I can tell.

I apologize if I sounded like I was trying to start an argument. I’m happy with what I have and if anyone else wants to try it out, I put it out there. All that matters is that we get our files to our TV, and whatever works, works. Plex works for you. That’s great. I’m not waving a banner for anyone.

This is great. From article: controversial dynamic pricing methods, with sticker price increases of almost 600 per cent meaning some used copies of Furious 7 are now changing hands for as much as £3.

And the burn about filming FF11 in one month, hilarious.

>An eleventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise titled Fast Forever was set to be released in 2028, but that could now be brought forward to this summer with insiders confident that “finishing the script by next week and shooting everything within a month won’t damage the quality of the film”.

I have a big laserdisc collection and recently got about 6 more for my birthday. When my wifi goes down I'm all old school entertainment.

I read that as “when my wife goes down”, which has a few meanings.
