Not necessarily the programs from the 80s or 90s, because I know we have stations that show them but I meant stations that show a late night movie block that may have a title like "from dusk to dawn late night movie" or a mid day matinee etc...curious if any cities may still have a station like that?
I grew up watching so many movies on that station that I still love.

It's an app rather than a local channel but I use PlutoTV to get my fix

Yeah, Pluto, Roku Channel, Plex, Tubi, any of the FAST apps.
Or, digital subchannels. Stuff like MeTV, Get, Antenna TV, H&I... I think on Saturdays, Antenna airs Svengoolie, which is very close to what OP is asking for.
But the local Indie channel is essentially dead. They've all been swallowed up by a megacorp. There ain't no U62 left.

Yep, most of the indie channels have transformed into the weird digital hop-on channels which you may or may not know exist (Frndly has most of them if, like me, you live way out of antenna range).

If you get over the air tv, each “channel” actually has three or four channels embedded. So there will be a 13.1, which is the main channel (say, the local NBC affiliate) but then there will be 13.2, 13.3, etc which are all different channels those are the modern equivalent of what we used to call UHF stations. They’ll have old reruns, b-movies, etc.

Sure, everyone does, if you use an antenna. Then you pull all the local stations which put you back in those Creature Double Feature / Dialing For Dollars type of channels

Man I grew up watching the Creature Double Feature every Saturday on Channel 56 in Boston!

Independent stations are a dying breed

Yea, that's what I wonder if any still exist doing a similar format

Movies are still on, but primarily during the weekends alongside a bunch of Family Feud reruns and bottom feeder content.
Doesn’t have that “presentation” that you get from a station back then.

I’ve wondered this too. There was something really cozy about those late night blocks with a random movie and a simple intro, like you just stumbled into it by accident. Streaming kind of replaced the convenience, but it doesn’t have that same shared moment feeling.

When I was in college in the early 2010's, I had a year or two stretch of having the hardest time sleeping. One of my local network channels had sitcom block from 11:00pm-2:00am, it was 2 episodes of The Office, 2 of Community, and 2 of 30 Rock. I watched it everyweek night to help me sleep. To this day, watching 30 Rock triggers my brain to say "Time for bed, it's getting late."
