All he has to do is publicly praise the Orange Menace and donate to MAGA and a full pardon shall be his

Dinker54 Apr 23, 2026 +264
$400,000 isn’t even half of the cost of a pardon from this administration- they’ll only work with big time fraudsters and drug traffickers that weren’t involved in politics.

Tell that to the people Trump pardoned from the insurrection
101
winky9827 Apr 23, 2026 +71
They only got a mass pardon because he's too lazy to review 1500 individual cases.
71
actuallyapossom Apr 24, 2026 +80
He wanted to send a message of approval to his brownshirts. "Reviewing" is work, and Trump has spent his life delegating all work to the "suckers" that didn't inherit wealth.

That’s not how fascism works. They will come down on him hard. Only the party elites are allowed to profit from breaking the law. If you let a common grunt believe they are above the law, there will be no one to kill and die for you.

"We are currently clean on OPSEC," said Pete Hegseth in a chat that inadvertently included an editor from The Atlantic on an ***insecure fork*** of Signal made by a foreign company that modified the app to send an unencrypted copy of every message to servers in Israel for preservation. It's so much worse than people realize. [This talk at DEFCON](https://youtu.be/5VlhsT5Kbsk?t=42) (an infosec conference) covers it well.

Just for more context, SignalGate wasnt even just one breach but MANY and it happened a few times later in different was as well, to the point a year later(March 2026) the FBI and Dutch intelligence identified a sweeping campaign targeting individuals with "high intelligence value," including government officials, military personnel, and journalists.

On January 7, 2026, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt ended a press briefing at roughly 64 minutes and 30 seconds, just before a 65-minute threshold on prediction market Kalshi. The abrupt stop saw bettors on the "NO" side achieve ~50x returns.

29
shouldbepracticing85 Apr 24, 2026 +144
John Oliver *just* did an episode on these gambling sites. It’s no more a “prediction” market than betting on which horse will win a race.
144
Bonezone420 Apr 24, 2026 +102
Except horses can't bet. A huge part of the problem with this shit is that it's specifically designed so people can do insane things like bet on whether or not the cops will shoot someone, the cops will can look at this and realize they stand to gain a lot of money if they bet on whether or not they will shoot someone: then go out and shoot someone. Insider "trading" is a deliberate feature of this system, not a bug.
102
Life_Crazy2222 Apr 24, 2026 +37
The creators of polymarket and kelshi literally have clips of themselves encouraging insider trading and talking about how amazing it is
37
shouldbepracticing85 Apr 24, 2026 +13
That was a big part of Oliver’s segment. And while horses can’t bet, the jockeys and other people caring for the horses can.
13
Augustus_Medici Apr 24, 2026 +25
I just watched the ending of that press briefing. It does indeed stop before the 65 minute mark, but it didn’t seem forced or abrupt or anything.
25

This was his #1 mistake. You need two million to buy a pardon, everyone knows that
63
wargh_gmr Apr 23, 2026 +17

In just the last 30 days of the Iran war alone, 1-3 people have made BILLIONS on the market manipulation with the March 23rd incident being the most valuable when ***5 minutes before Trump's announcement a $1.5B notional worth of S&P500 (ES) futures were bought in a single clip and $192M notional of oil futures were (CL) sold.*** Then on Friday April 18th, just 20 minutes before Trump's announcement that the Strait of Hormuz was open, ***someone sold a combined 7,990 lots of Brent crude futures, a $760 million bet that oil would go down.*** Trump continues to prove he's jealous of the military, absolutely hating them (and hes a corrupt piece of shit)

4
swiftekho Apr 24, 2026 +3
To show that they are 'doing something about it' for prediction markets, sending a grunt to jail is a small price to pay.
3
Kyle700 Apr 24, 2026 +24
""Insider trading has no place on Polymarket. Today's arrest is proof the system works," the statement said. " this is just ridiculous imo. the entire point of these prediction markets is insider trading. if your just playing normally your such a f****** sucker
24
dearth_karmic Apr 24, 2026 +3
And it's the ONLY reason they're "predictive."
3
Agreeable-Agent-7384 Apr 24, 2026 +21
Don jr and Baron are straight up colluding and using insider information to make 100s of times more than this while also being connected to the betting websites. But I guess it’s okay if you’re rich. No one should be able to bet on any of this, but if I had to let someone profit of this, I’d rather it be a soldier who risked something for this and was actually on the ground, instead of fake bone spur babies who would never even consider serving.
21
drunow21 Apr 23, 2026 +54
Yeah cool they’ll go after the somewhat regular folks doing this shit and let the top dawgs continue to pillage. Wanted sports betting legal badly as a kid.. in hindsight it should all be banned except in Vegas again if this is what we get
54
TuringGoneWild Apr 24, 2026 +19
Including Vegas. A lot of Felon Dump's biggest backers were Vegas shillionaires.
19
CCPolop Apr 24, 2026 +4
Few years ago we had a change in the laws in Spain which allowed to open betting houses. What good has it brought? None. Blue collar workers with little education and dealers and his friends are the main clients. Police doing periodic checks and brawls from time to time.
4
Several-Opposite-746 Apr 23, 2026 +65
Multi-tiered justice system. How about investigating the trump administration and give them the same punishment as this soldier.
65
wilson_rawls Apr 23, 2026 +21
We can only hope a future Democratic administration does exactly this. They probably won't, but isn't it nice to dream?
21
Confron7a7ion7 Apr 24, 2026 +11
Brother, they let Trump get away with trying a coup. They had 4 years to hold him accountable for J6. Instead they let an insurrectionist run in and win the election. Hell, Trump was convicted of 34 felonies and they just didn't sentence him to any kind of punishment.
11
MightyKrakyn Apr 23, 2026 +9
Some would argue that it’s counterproductive to dream in this way because it’s essentially solution procrastination
9
thegrumpymechanic Apr 24, 2026 +5
We don't have a justice system, we have a legal system. As there is hardly any justice and your wealth determines which laws pertain to you.. Have enough cash, and they'll write laws for you.

What is amazing about this thread… The facts WE ALL KNOW, that the president openly, shamelessly accepts bribes for pardons and his inner circle are actively gaming the system for their own benefit, are just casually tossed around and literally NO ONE is shocked… We’re (USA) are so over.
39
AaronTheElite007 Apr 23, 2026 +32
Only the Trump family and his inner circle are allowed to insider trade. Tsk tsk tsk.
32

Truly corrupt and dystopian. He (and the people running the campaign) now have a personal financial incentive to push the mission through regardless of policy, safety, or just basic humane principles (i.e. they will eliminate any and every obstacles to complete the mission). Disgusting and completely predictable.  Hmmm, now THAT'S an interesting bet. "Will someone be arrested for betting on a bet that Maduro will be captured"

2
68024 Apr 24, 2026 +2
But if a Trump did it... no consequences.
2
AgentInkling99 Apr 24, 2026 +2
Oh wow. The rule of law only exists for plebs that have a rare chance to game the system like the Epstein Class.
2
Carribean-Diver Apr 24, 2026 +2
I wonder what in the Wide World of Sports gave this guy the idea that kind of behavior was condoned. /S

Dry_Purple2732 Apr 24, 2026 +2
Only the rich are allowed to get richer
2
Far-Hovercraft9471 Apr 24, 2026 +2
He made the mistake of breaking the rules while being a member of the working class
2
Prestigious-Sell-503 Apr 24, 2026 +2
The guys risking their lives in the operation should be allowed to bet in themselves
2
Trump-is-the-pedo Apr 24, 2026 +2
Oops! He didn’t get the memo that poor people still have to follow laws. If he made a *billion* on it, he’d be in the pedophile’s cabinet.
2
bandalooper Apr 24, 2026 +2
>unlawful use of confidential information for personal gain, theft of nonpublic government information, commodities fraud, and wire fraud That’s a great resume for this administration
2
Metal_Corps Apr 24, 2026 +2
Artist the criminal in chief. Leadership by example!
2
gavstah Apr 24, 2026 +2
Now do the people in Washington

2
realfakejames Apr 24, 2026 +2
Trump's son is an advisor to both polymarket and kalshi but he's allowed to do that despite having access to govt secrets Most corrupt govt in my lifetime and it belongs to Republicans
2
Hollie_Maea Apr 24, 2026 +2
The gall of this Justice Department to bring the hammer down on this dumb grunt when Trump is making a million times more inside trading on his own actions.
2
LDSBS Apr 24, 2026 +2
Only people in the Epstein class are allowed to grift, soldier.
2
Sierranymph Apr 24, 2026 +2
When is Trump going to pardon him and find him a place in his administration?
2
usernamechosen999 Apr 24, 2026 +2
Steal a little and they throw you in jail, steal a lot and they make you king.
2
Finngrove Apr 24, 2026 +2
Hope they use this prosecution as the precedent and model for stringing up the Trump family using the same corrupt methods to make millions off of Trump tariff and Iran war announcements after the fall of the regime.
2
admosquad Apr 24, 2026 +2
We jumped from Sports gambling to gambling on everything real f****** fast.

Didn't he know that's reserved for his masters?
2
aDirtyMartini Apr 24, 2026 +2
He’s just following the lead of the commander in chief.
2
A_Nonny_Muse Apr 24, 2026 +2
Profits for me, but not for thee.
2
No-Delay-6791 Apr 24, 2026 +2
Why can trump and his family make insider info bets, but nobody else can?
2
Big_lt Apr 24, 2026 +2
I'm confused what exactly they're charging him with? These prediction markets have no regulations and I don't think insider trading is a thing. Considering how so many other people have done similar "trades"
2
Dalans Apr 24, 2026 +2
Rules for thee, not for me.
2
detectiverobert Apr 24, 2026 +2
How are the other insider trading investigations going?
2
-Frank-Lloyd-Wrong- Apr 24, 2026 +2
