Donald Trump claims Iran 'agreeing' with US on 15-point peace plan | The Jerusalem Post
When asked about Iran’s response to the plan, which was sent to Iran via Pakistan, US President Donald Trump said, "They gave us most of the points," and asked, "Why wouldn't they?”

I've been feeling like George Costanza doing the opposite with how I feel with this market. If things are feeling grim and you feel like selling, you know that will only last a day or two before it spikes back up again. When you feel confident as shit that the market will continue to go up, you have to sell because you just know some bullshit will come up that will drag it down again. I've had the song UP and Down from Vengaboys stuck in my head for weeks since it clicked in my head.

If you didn't vote for Harris, you actively or passively chose this. There was one even remotely plausible way Trump could be beaten. And that was voting for Harris. The test was pass/fail, and America failed it. And nobody dying or suffering a fuel shortage because of Trump being in power cares about the principled stance you took by voting for Jill Stein.
27
Pale-Factor-8574 Mar 30, 2026 -4
Well, some of us (slightly less than the portion that voted for Trump, and then there's Elon Musk's tampering to consider) didn't vote for this. I know that's of small comfort to people outside the United States, and very often of none to those in it. I really wish we could impeach the guy. The road to that is 67 votes in the Senate and going through Chief Justice Roberts, who would be presiding over the matter. In other words, America would pretty much have to get nuked for it to even have a chance at succeeding. Ironically... Iran's all but guaranteed to ensure the last two years of Trump's presidency will be spent in lame duck mode. Those who voted for Trump are staying home, and there are 40 more Dems across state governments now than before the conflict started. Often in areas that voted overwhelmingly for the TACO. The electorate is shifting a lot. We are fixing the problem. But elections only go so fast. And we're going to have to figure out how to undo Elon's interference in the next round. We'll see what happens after Hormuz. But this conflict will not end anytime soon. Iran is just waiting for the US to start the ground invasion. The 'peace talks' are market manipulation and an excuse to move troops into position. That's all.
-4
LardLad00 Mar 30, 2026 +43
>We are fixing the problem. We voted him out in 2020 and then back in in 2024. I don't think we're fixing shit.

> When asked about Iran’s response to the plan, which was sent to Iran via Pakistan, Trump said, "They gave us most of the points," and asked, "Why wouldn't they?” He added that Iran is “agreeing” with the US on the plan and that, in addition to the original 15 points, the US will be "asking for a couple of other things." So he is now claiming that Iran or Pakistan (I can't tell which he means) basically came up with most of the 15 point plan that [the US delivered 5 days ago?](https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/24/world/middleeast/us-iran-peace-plan.html) Even though this plan is [basically a rehash of a proposal put forward by his negotiating team during nuclear talks with Iran almost a year ago.](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/24/trumps-rehashed-15-point-iran-plan-unlikely-to-appease-tehran)

Americans need to wake up and call their senators and representatives. Are you under the impression there is nothing we can do?
1
RoboChrist9k Mar 30, 2026 +18
Are you under the impression there is any realistic world in which the GOP votes to impeach Trump? They would not remove him from office after he sent a lynch mob to kill them and when his influence was at the lowest it has been since he became president. So tell me what you imagine as a realistic path to removing him from office prior to - at the earliest - 2029, and how calling our senators will help. There are things we can do, and none of them realistically result in Trump leaving office until, at the earliest, the end of his term.
18
todddepri Mar 30, 2026 +2
So just do nothing? You just give up on life huh?
2
runawayhound Mar 30, 2026 +7
The largest protest in American history happened yesterday
7
RoboChrist9k Mar 30, 2026 +3
Okay. That is nice and good and I am not being sarcastic. Protest is important and vital. But we are, again, responding to someone urging that we remove Trump from office. Protests can accomplish a lot. They will not compel Trump to step down, neither will they compel the Republicans in Congress. And they also will not lead to a general revolution and if they did I have bad news for you about how unorganized mobs would fare against the US military. So unless you have something else I am misssing in mind, it is irrelevant. There are many many many things we can, ought, and indeed must do. None of them, however, will result in Donald Trump ceasing to be president prior to January 2029. The situation is not hopeless; but if your only criterion for success is “Trump is removed from office prior to the end of his second term” then, yeah, the situation is hopeless.
3
tundra445 Mar 30, 2026 +3
Trump keeps saying "Oh, negotiations are going great, Iran is agreeing to everything", because we have to put diplomacy on the table. At the same time, Trump knows that in reality, Iran is not, and will not ever agree to such terms (by choice). If Trump were to just say, "it's our way or the high way", it would make his position look much less reasonable from the outside. But this is really what is happening here.
3
No_Monk_4477 Mar 30, 2026 +16

The 12-point plan that was leaked a couple weeks ago was a carbon-copy of Obama’s plan from a decade ago. Once that was pointed out, they said it was fake. Now, the “plan” is suddenly 15 points, which I assume is definitely, not possibly, absolutely no way looks anything like Obama’s plan with an additional three points written in crayon.

Man what a crazy coincidence. They accepted the U.S. peace plan last Sunday night too.

987nevertry Mar 30, 2026 +2
Which, as we all now know, means exactly the opposite.

UUMD Mar 30, 2026 +2
I'll wait until a more credible source confirms. Like Iran.

shunSwaptions Mar 30, 2026 +2
Yup Iran agrees to peace plan right before the market opens and decides to fight on friday night right after the market closes.

tdb480 Mar 30, 2026 +2
Convenient on a Sunday before markets open then again they don't about mid way through the week.

It’s called dementia. You imagine things in your head that don’t make sense.

Technical_Ideal_5439 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I assume it starts with, "give us all your oil", and ends with "promise to be good".

MikeSteamer Mar 30, 2026 +1
They agreed it was 15 items because they counted them

Ble_h Mar 30, 2026 +1
In other words, get ready for escalation and boots on the ground

IceMysterious3056 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Whatever he says is the opposite, so sure.

His 2 minute highlight reel update for this war is the only information he takes in. Highly being fed his own propaganda.

DukeandKate Mar 30, 2026 +1
I didn't spend any effort to read the article. I won't believe it is true until I hear it from a reputable source.

President Pedofiles is in kommand.

ImNotHandyImHandsome Mar 30, 2026 +1
He's hoping so badly to beag to Putin about "that's how you start and then stop a war". Also, release the Epstein files.
1
Chessh2036 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Has he accomplished anything with this war? Regime change sort of happened but it’s his son, so I don’t think it’s going to lead to any massive reforms. So what has changed? Anything?

MiloAstro Mar 30, 2026 +1
He says a lot of things…

anti-fan6152 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Anyone with sense can tell you that whether Iran agrees or not, they will always bark like they haven't because they HAVE to for their existence. So anyone talking like they know generally don't. These people cant give to the public the perception that they are weakened.
1
bonedocFR Mar 30, 2026 +1
Sounds like any of his press conferences , “they wanna do a deal, the agreed on 15 points but could be five maybe seven, I gave them 2 weeks but could be more or could be less. We are winning the war, I mean special operation, we have obliterated them, but we still have 90% of the target to be hit tomorrow if they don’t comply!” … what a piece of “work”…the art of lying and not having a clue of what he’s doing
1
manniesalado Mar 30, 2026 +1
You should have never stabbed Iran in the back when YOU betrayed the Nukes Deal.
1
Both_Temperature2163 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Well it’s Friday night. Time to bump the market.
1
FlexFanatic Mar 30, 2026 +1
So, if they agree what’s stopping the US and Iran signing the agreement and ending this war ?
1
Illustrious-Gas-9766 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Mango man just says what he wants to hear
1
nyITguy Mar 30, 2026 +1
Regardless of what goes on (or doesn't) behind the scenes, the US will say whatever crazy thing occurs to them in the moment, and Iran will NEVER admit to going along with anything the US comes up with.
1
Jos3ph Mar 30, 2026 +1
Ok sure we believe you. Now let’s end the war.
1
scruffles360 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Piece out!
1
ColdWarRedux2 Mar 30, 2026 +1
