I am rooting to wake up one day, very soon, and the first news I read is that he is gone ☺️

FrogsOnALog Mar 31, 2026 +424
The country had a choice to get rid of him for good and we fired the democrats lol
424
got-trunks Mar 31, 2026 +134
He originally ran on destroying the government and now he’s done it, now the rip is done so next is the replace. Best make the right choice what with Luckily and unluckily things run on a timescale a little wider than some people can presently give credit for, as they are experiencing it
134
movealongnowpeople Mar 31, 2026 +83
>now the rip is done so next is the replace Don't worry, corporate Dems and "moderate Republicans" (whatever the f*** that means in 2026) are lining up, pockets full of cash, to fill the void. We *could* rebuild our economy and social programs to... ya know... benefit the average American. But we'll just give it to the oligarchs again and talk a lot about "healing the wounds" and "coming together" (ignoring that the GOP is literally a global terror syndicate).

forthewatch39 Mar 31, 2026 +15
Then it’s up to us to fight back. Easier said than done, but aren’t you tired of what is going on?
15
FiveDollarsGOH Mar 31, 2026 +5
This again? No offense, because I 100% agree with you, but we also have to deal with reality, not idealism. Realistically, what do you expect everyone to do to “fight back”? More than that, how, specifically, do you define that phrase?
5
got-trunks Mar 31, 2026 +12
This is actually straight forward, accountability starts at the municipal level, you start making everyone in government’s name and face appear next to every decision they make or enable rather than “fighting” the big bad fed Make things and people immediately around you moderately less unintelligent and work from there
12
xxxxNateDaGreat Apr 1, 2026 +2
> accountability starts at the municipal level, you start making everyone in government’s name and face appear next to every decision they make or enable rather than “fighting” the big bad fed We already do that, people just choose to be lazy and ignorant because it's easier to focus your anger or apathy onto one nebulous entity. Republicans have also fully embraced the cult tribalism and made it their entire identity so they all view any admission that "their side" may be doing some thing bad as a personal attack on their character. >Make things and people immediately around you moderately less unintelligent and work from there People have to have a desire and willingness to learn for any kind of educating to even begin to happen. Republicans have shown time and time again that they all have zero interest in learning to be better people, they would rather spend effort into reinforcing their own shitty beliefs and then forcing it on the rest of us.

absat41 Mar 31, 2026 +7
You know that the Dems would have max 18 months to undo Citizens United; get a Senate Majority; Congressional Majority; Judicial Majority ; instrument universal healthcare. The US public won't give them that length of time and so you will return the GOP to power.
7
ThroatWMangrove Mar 31, 2026 +8
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if a president is tried and found guilty of treason is his entire cabinet removed? I feel it’s our only hope at this point
8
starmartyr Mar 31, 2026 +2
Not automatically. When a president is removed via impeachment the vice president becomes president. They can fire any member of the cabinet. Replacements need to be confirmed by congress but the president is able to fire any political appointee.
2
FrogsOnALog Mar 31, 2026 +7
Still a long ways off from replace unfortunately…
7
VanceKelley Mar 31, 2026 +18
America will never be fixed until a large majority of the electorate consists of intelligent, informed, decent people. Not only is that a long ways off, the train is currently heading in the wrong direction.
18
mtnclimbingotter02 Mar 31, 2026 +6
The train isn’t just running in the wrong direction, it’s been blown off the tracks and currently tumbling down a long, super long, slope to a big pit of quicksand.
6
PrometheusLiberatus Mar 31, 2026 +4
Psychedelics are an amazing way for that train to reverse course and get on the right track! You MAGA assholes wanted to meet God? Well, here ya go! Have fun with him yelling at you!
4
xxxxNateDaGreat Apr 1, 2026 +2
America will never be fixed until we can implement mass scale education reforms and a true separation of church and state/education, which will take decades upon decades of neverending dedicated work fighting off constant attacks from clueless jesus freaks and conservatives. No more southern states ignoring the 1921 tusla race massacre or the ww2 japanese internment camps or the 1939 MSG Nazi rally, no more forcing all of the students to stand up and pray every morning to white jesus, no more rejecting science in favor of teaching only creationism.

2
Colesw13 Mar 31, 2026 +1
should have never came to that, Dems were handed 2 years of a supermajority to pursue criminal charges or impeachment proceedings and chose to let him try again
1
FrogsOnALog Mar 31, 2026 +32
Two years of supermajority? Lmao it was two years of a 50/50 senate buddy and they impeached him too. Biden DOJ also indicted Trump for J6 and Jack Smith told us he had him beyond a reasonable doubt but then we fired everyone.
32
OneAlexander Mar 31, 2026 +7
It shouldn't have come to that, but it ***did*** come to that, and the American people then failed as well. On Listnook there is a lot of "if only Dems have done x, if only Biden had done y", but you can't scapegoat the fact 2/3 of American voters subsequently chose this, and the vast majority haven't bothered to do anything about it since.
7
DrMobius0 Mar 31, 2026 +4
> Dems were handed 2 years of a supermajority to pursue criminal charges _Slim_ majority, which meant the party was swung around by the nuts by the most conservative among them. Look up what supermajority actually means, please.

His grave is going to beed 24/7 monitoring because of the line of people who are going to try and piss on it

His grave will probably be on one his properties and not open to the public.
26

And you know damn well they're gonna throw the book at anyone who defiles his grave. I'll just drink the finest bottle of champagne instead in celebration.

I'm sure there's ways to avoid being caught. For instance, perhaps filling a bottle and delivering it via drone.

His kids will bury him on a golf course so it can become a tax write off.
9
SuperFreakyNaughty Mar 31, 2026 +5
They will 100% sell tickets to visitors who want to see the grave. They're predictable, so it'll be $45.47 per person.

Reminds me of Joke #27: 'A citizen of the USSR during Stalin's reign stops by the newspaper stand every day, looks at the headlines, and walks away. One day the newspaper vendor says, "Comrade, why do you not look at the whole paper? Why do you just walk away?" The citizen replies, "I'm looking for an obituary." The vendor says, "But Comrade, the obituaries are in the back of the paper." The citizen replies, "Not the one I'm looking for."

JD Vance would be a terrible president but on a personal level, I’ll be glad when Trump is dead. I’ve never truly felt that way about another human before, but for all the harm he’s done to every human being on this planet? It will be a good day.

Only two people being gone from this earth (Donald Trump, and a serial online abuser and cultist thug from Australia who has dragged my journalism against him into court) would improve my life by 95%.
3
Indirian Mar 31, 2026 +3
The problem is that if we want to *begin* repairing the damage he and his administration have done is that we need him and a majority of his cabinet to do prison time. We need to show the wealthy and powerful that the law applies to them too. Otherwise, this will keep happening until the country truly fall apart due to all spoils the billionaire class is taking from the rest of us. Roads need repair? No, we need 10 more missiles. Social Security? Sorry, we can’t fund it anymore even though you paid in to it for the past thirty years. But we definitely need to increase funding to the pentagon. Will anyone face charges? Maybe one or two cronies will be fed to the chopping block, but unless something changes I highly doubt anyone will be held accountable.
3
pls_tell_me Mar 31, 2026 +3
never, NEVER settle for him to go a free man, you all NEED him in prison for the sake of your future and democracy.
3
fondledbydolphins Mar 31, 2026 +3
Allow me to be the bearer of bad news then - things don't get solved the day he's gone. They likely get exponentially worse. Then we enter the critical juncture.
3

Why do you think things get exponentially worse?

You'll find more spine in a group of jellyfish than you'll ever find on the GOP side of Congress.
14
RagnarStonefist Mar 31, 2026 +8
the democrats too. they refuse to play hardball because they're scared.
8
omerome83 Mar 31, 2026 +10
Yes, there are Democrats who refuse to meet the moment and are silent collaborators. But let's focus on who is in charge right now. The GOP at any point CAN stop this but won't. They own this. We can focus on feckless leaders like Jeffries and Schumer as well, but they don't have any power here.

3

Also, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment should have taken him out right as he pardoned January 6th insurrectionists. Not to mention he should’ve been prosecuted and banned for inciting an insurrection to begin with.
3

13
writeinfreedom Mar 31, 2026 +32
He knows exactly what he's trying to do - rob every single person in the world and shove it in our face every single day - while people talk about him endlessly with love or hate on their breath. He absolutely needs to go, but so too does his entire cabinet. They not only enabled or pushed for the absolutely worst policies that got people killed, starved, gauged, and bamboozled, but too many of them are clearly so personally financially invested with Trump that there simply isn't any restraint left on his totally self absorbed catastrophic economic coup. A RICO impeachment - like nobody's ever seen before...

It will never cease to amaze me how many people will either play stupid and say "I did not vote for this!" or refuse to admit that they voted for this. When this horror show timeline is all said and done, millions of registered voters will never come clean about voting for this and unless they learn the hard way, I doubt they will change because they are morally broken.

At this point, it's good people's fault for not doing anything. And if it's the law stopping you, it's not stopping Trump, why would it count for anyone any longer? If they don't follow the law, no one else has to either, make them regret that.
2
Bruce-7892 Mar 31, 2026 +110
Wont happen as long as we have a congress that mostly worships him. Sadly this petition could have 300 million signatures and jack shit will happen until the people with the authority to do something about it are willing to.
110
apk5005 Mar 31, 2026 +23
They don’t worship him, they fear him. When the tide of public favor turns enough, they’ll fear the voters more. We just aren’t there yet.
23

I think they use him more so. He’s their hammer. But he has power because of it.
10
apk5005 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Fair point. Maybe it’s a bit of both: they know they can manipulate him to enact their P2025 bullshit and make themselves rich BUT they won’t dare cross him because they know he’s a petulant little b**** who’ll crucify them if they make him look bad.
6

It’s just clickbait cope, articles like this should be banned from this sublistnook. Ban all Newsweek articles. Throw in The Daily Beast as well.
5

I think the proof of this is that he’s already been impeached. Twice. Bipartisan. And yet, here we are. He’s not going anywhere until we rethink who has the power here.

5
Impractically_Dead Mar 31, 2026 +24
Impeachment? Is there no petition to have him tried for treason, holding him accountable for all the crimes Jack Smith investigated? For all the crimes he's committed in plain sight?
24
Beldizar Mar 31, 2026 +2
Due to some really bad decisions in government, mostly the supreme court and DOJ, the president is effectively above the law, so there is no way for him to be tried for treason or held accountable for anything until after he's removed from office. Also the DOJ is basically Trump's personal law firm at this point, so we currently have no one to actually arrest him outside of his own personal team. So the reason none of that has a petition is because it is all step 2... or step n+1, where step n is impeaching him. I would personally argue that impeaching Bondi, Patel, Hegseth, and RFK Jr. should all happen before that, not because it is more just, but because it is politically expedient to undercut Trump's support and train any of the GOP to start leaning away from MAGA. GOP senators are afraid to go against Trump because they are afraid of their base. If the base starts turning against the cabinet, they can turn senators against them, and then against Trump after he's lost support from everyone. The Iran war and Epstien files are finally starting to erode some of Trump's support. I'm not particularly happy that such a slow process is needed, but it seems like the most reasonable path. If a better one appears I'd love to see it happen.

Not to be a debbie downer, but he's a symptom, not a cause. The rot of this garbage runs deeper and has been at play for decades. The owners of our government have finally reached a point where there's enough really dumb people willing to follow a carnival barker into fascism.
105
codacoda74 Mar 31, 2026 +32
I read somewhere America isn't a mess because of Trump being president, Trump is president because America is a mess. The GOP is the child teen who went too far and needs to be sent back to it's room to think about it's behavior before it's allowed out to play Society again
32
rexter2k5 Apr 1, 2026 +2
The Republican party needs to be dismantled wholesale, mate. This isn't a timeout situation. This is a Sherman's March to the Sea situation.
2
unklethan Mar 31, 2026 +5
I think you're right, AND I think it would do us a lot of good to get rid of this symptom. Like, vomiting is a symptom of the flu, but if you can treat that symptom long enough to get food, water, and rest, you'll be okay. If you can't treat that symptom, then your risk of dying from the flu gets worse. It might be easier to educate people without specifically having Trump in the way. It might be easier to dismantle the right wing media monopoly without Trump interfering at every step. It might be possible to start working towards a functioning justice system without Trump showcasing that he doesn't follow any rules and faces no consequences.
5
OhMyThiccThighs Mar 31, 2026 +16
It's a cult of personality. Once he's gone, there is no one that can replace him so even if someone could fill in the void left by him, he wont have the same firm grasp on the maga crowd as dumpy does. Yes, it wont get rid of the overall problem but sometimes it isn't until you get rid of the zit does the body have to opportunity to heal.
16
TechnalityPulse Mar 31, 2026 +5
We've had problems with our constituents voting right for way longer than Trump. A reminder that almost all of our problems today can be traced back to Reagan and his policies. Trump is truly just a symptom. A very loud, very distractive symptom. As always the democrats will hold majority for a very short period of time before we go back to 50/50 splits and/or slight republican majority. It's a tale as old as America at this point.
5
Roentgen_Ray1895 Mar 31, 2026 +8
The problem is that the same centrist shitbirds that refuses to change or implement the drastic policies required to save this country are still heavily entrenched within the Democrats so when Buttigieg or Newsom or whatever other soulless suit gets into office and does f*** all, that fundamental rot will still be present for the next right wing fake populist to swoop in. Like what is even the party’s messaging on this war? One of the most unpopular conflicts in our nation’s history? Schumer is the most powerful Democrat in the country and his position is “well of course the Iranians must all be incinerated into ash for the glory of Israel but the orange man isn’t killing them with congressional approval” We either purge this generation of bloodthirsty clintonites or we lose the country. There is no other option. When the day comes, it will be beautiful and cathartic, but fascism isn’t something you just vote away. It’s a symptom of societal rot and we’ve been decaying since the end of the Cold War (or hell, even the New Deal if you wanna push it that far back)
8
Hoppers-Body-Double Mar 31, 2026 +2
Sadly, this is accurate. The only message seems to be "We are not yam t***". Which is a valid message insomuch as "Hey, I'm not a murderer, elect me to not murder" is reassuring. Great, but what can you actually do to improve our lives, allow prosperity, and to make life better for each generation. None of them want to do anything that harms the bottom line of the vampires that own them.
2
Cybertronian10 Mar 31, 2026 +2
I am of the opinion that it is both true that there will still be systematic and structural problems after Trump bites it and that things will still get much better after he dies.

For anyone else who is frustrated there's no link to the petition: https://www.change.org/p/call-to-impeach-donald-trump Obligatory disclosure, for anyone not aware:  Signing such a petition, in this specific case, has little to no legal implication in terms of achieving the stated goal. There is no legal avenue for the general public to directly affect an impeachment of a sitting U.S. President.  Also, Change.org is a for-profit company, despite it's apparent altruistic nature.  Do with this information what you will. I'm still signing this petition.

> Change.org is a for-profit company I didn't know that they were set up like that. Bit of a hybrid. Here's what a Google search shows: > Change.org is a for-profit Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), specifically a certified B Corporation, that is fully owned by a non-profit organization, The Change.org Foundation. > > While it operates as a for-profit entity, its structure aligns with a social mission, using revenue to fund its petition platform. > > Key details about Change.org's structure: > > Ownership: In 2021, the company was restructured to be 100% owned by the non-profit Change.org Foundation. > > Business Model: It makes money through sponsored petitions (promoting campaigns for a fee, not all petitions are sponsored), user donations, and advertising. > > Status: It functions as a tech company aimed at social change, rather than a traditional non-profit charity. > > Structure: It operates as a B-Corp, which allows it to pursue a social mission while operating as a for-profit entity. And, yeah, I'm signing it, too

Only way I see a third Trump impeachment happening is a disastrous showing for the Republicans in midterms. The main obstacle is that the Senate would need to vote by a two-thirds majority to convict Trump and remove him from office. As the two main parties generally vote on partisan lines, that would require the Republicans to lose 20 senators. Donald would need to f*** up so catastrophically in the next few months that even hillbilly states that are otherwise Republican strongholds would turn against him. And I do not see the likes of Mississipi, Montana, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas and similar states turning blue, even if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed for a few more months and a devastating ground war happens in Iran. What's more likely is that the Republicans take sizeable losses, then Trump's cabinet turns against him, invokes the 25th Amendment and puts Vance in charge.

Sadly 200,000 is a small number compared to the number of votes needed for real change If only the all No kings protesters would/could all turn out and vote, then we may see a change. But I fear even so there will not be enough in congress or the senate to force an impeachment

Unless the amount of Democratic senators has also doubled in size, this doesn’t mean much.

The third time will be the charm
2
GuthramNaysayer Mar 31, 2026 +2
Whatevva. Blah blah. Condemn, slam, censure, impeach. Politicians are immune from prosecution. I think we have seen that repeatedly.
2
me_Huggy Mar 31, 2026 +2
The only way Trump could be impeached is for Republicans to do it, that ani't going to happen well it least for now.
2
neeesus Mar 31, 2026 +2

Link to petition?🤷‍♂️

hooligan045 Mar 31, 2026 +2
I hope folks realize that Donny the Pedo is just a symptom of a greater problem. JD Cringe is gonna be infinitely worse because he’s a smarter useful idiot.
2
Blu3iris Mar 31, 2026 +2
I hate to say it, but those 100,000 people on the petition will be the first ones carried off to the deportation camps once theyre all up and running.
2
kizi30 Mar 31, 2026 +2
Too late.   If you supported this man.  Impeach yourself.
2
CatmatrixOfGaul Mar 31, 2026 +2
Don’t trust Americans to get shit done.
2
Basicyeti837 Mar 31, 2026 +2
The Republican Party has exhausted its political capital propping up and defending Trump. Why do you think several people are already announcing retirement? Unfortunately, Trump is the hill Johnson wants to die on, or Trump would have already been impeached.
2
zffjk Mar 31, 2026 +2
So the reality TV and WWE front shop is scary, but the full blown Nazi and Christian Nationalist back shop is the real big bad.

I wish for Donald Trump that he is held accountable for his words and actions, and that he is heavily taxed. All the money that has flowed into his family's private accounts should be reviewed with critical eyes. Fingers crossed.
2
maxvincent91 Mar 31, 2026 +2
"The Decision Maker: Donald Trump" Huh. That seems like an unlikely source to approve this petition.
2
kgal1298 Mar 31, 2026 +2
There's a petition? I need to sign it.
2

The news of his death with literally be the most globally celebrated since 1945. Not even Bin Laden will be able to compare.
2
Bzr21 Mar 31, 2026 +2
"impeachment" ? - what good is that ? He was impeached a 2nd time just after committing TREASON on J6 and still Senate Republicans saved him.
2
teddy_n_beddy Mar 31, 2026 +2
If only that would actually do something.
2
Yelloeisok Mar 31, 2026 +2
If only it were 200 million people signing it.
2
CatBattt Mar 31, 2026 +2
This isn't going to achieve anything. We've seen how America just lets this man do his shit and just take it.
2
nudecat1234 Mar 31, 2026 +2
Doesn’t matter it takes 60 in senate to impeach!!!
2
givin_u_the_high_hat Mar 31, 2026 +2
They will not get 2/3 of the Senate just like the last times. This is a distraction before midterms and would likely motivate GOPers to get out and vote because it is a triggering issue for them. Forget this until after midterms.
2
imtoowhiteandnerdy Mar 31, 2026 +2
*"And what happened then? Well in Whoville they say, that the dotard's petition grew two sizes that day, and then the true meaning of MAGA came through and Trump made the stink of ten pedophiles, plus two."*

2

It’s can quadruple. Means nothing. 34 felonies. Convicted rapist. Alleged PEDOPHILE. Crickets. The USA is dead. Accept it.

Why are we even back here. How did this moron after his first four disastrous years get elected again. Who thought this was a good idea?
1

Impeach & arrest him, his stooges, and every guardian of pedophile member who support his fascist agenda now. After the hormuz bullshit especially, the orange and the cancer he enabled has got to go

Good. Maybe this would be a wake up call to stop the stupid madness.

I wish we’d all rise up and storm the White House. Even though there’s more of us, there’s so many willing to fight on behalf of this gelatinous orange parasite.
1
RagnarStonefist Mar 31, 2026 +1
Petitions are worth about as much as the paper they're printed on. Unless somebody who can take action takes action, nothing will happen. And an impeachment is all fine and good but he has to actually be removed from office; he's not going to just leave like Nixon did. So that requires Congress, the Supreme Court, or an invocation of the 25th amendment, all paths of which are completely controlled by his cronies. There is no outlet to trigger any kind of recall election. He will be sitting there until he dies, or until his term is up (which I won't even get into his attempts at term 3 shenanigans).

Does anyone else distrust this kind of thing? It’s be just like MAGA to gain access to the list to target people for the IRS to audit or purge from voter rolls.
1
Jasoncatt Mar 31, 2026 +1
Meaningless.
1
SkewedZenith7 Mar 31, 2026 +1
I know it's well and good people are waking up, but let's be realistic here. He won't be removed and there's a strong possibility he won't leave office in 2028
1
spazzing Mar 31, 2026 +1
I'll get my hopes up once he and his ilk are out of office.
1
Shoddy_Ad_1750 Mar 31, 2026 +1
Impeach & remove the entire corrupt administration!

Why isn't someone with actual military training running the country Someone with discipline and manners And doesn't degrade women and r*** kids I didn't vote for this f****** ompaloopa

Impeachment does literally nothing…
1

Doesn’t mean shit if you don’t have the Senate.

Buckle your seatbelts you still have over 1000 days left

I really want him to die but seeing him in orange and handcuffed. That would cause me joy too.
1

Wow, this is useless. He seems to still be in power
1
whatevillurks Mar 31, 2026 +3
But I have heard that the ritual protest was successful, and he is not a king.
3
aPOPblops Mar 31, 2026 +1
I swear we forget he was impeached last time and it did NOTHING.
1

Twice as big as it was when it was half the size it was now.

1
rmay14444 Mar 31, 2026 +1
And..... Nothing will happen.
1
BillianForsee94 Mar 31, 2026 +1
It’s not going to happen because the senate votes just won’t be there. Focusing effort on this is performative when every ounce of effort should be spent towards practical House matters (after November), honestly.
1
rkicklig Mar 31, 2026 +1
Unless that list includes Republican senators it means squat
1

2 to 4 is still a double in size

His own base wants to see him impeached at this point. Guess having jared kushner and steve witkoff running his foreign policy isnt working out too well.
1
tapdancinghellspawn Mar 31, 2026 +1
Besides his impeachment, I hope politicians and legal experts are studying Trump's administration so they can create laws that hopefully will prevent another Trump in the future. I know that there are laws that should be stopping him but what good are they if the mechanisms for checking his powers isn't being engaged? We can't just nod our heads and say, What are we gonna do when the Supreme Court and Congress won't stop the president when he breaks the law? We need to create laws, if possible, that function regardless of if the other two branches are complicit or not.
1
ImmortalPoseidon Mar 31, 2026 +1
Oh yeah I'm sure you guys really got him this time lmao
1
Chemical-Fault-7331 Mar 31, 2026 +1
The only way this happens is if Republicans in the Senate get swept in pure defeat. With the likes of Fetterman and Sinema, 67 alone is not enough to get us the numbers. We need close to 70.

Hell yeah, another double nothing burger with a side of bullshit Trump could assault a child live on tv and there still wouldn’t be 67 votes in the senate
1

Nothing will happen, nothing ever happens.
1
dpaanlka Mar 31, 2026 +1
That’s nice, but these petitions mean literally nothing.
1
Krapio Mar 31, 2026 +1
All these people yapping but not voting. All these people attacking him just give him more power. If everyone stopped talking about him he would lose all strength. But the double digit iq people don’t see to understand this.
1
jacked_c Mar 31, 2026 +1
I mean it could get 2 million signatures but what would happen
1
Y0___0Y Mar 31, 2026 +1
Oh, a petition. Yeah that will surely bring down Trump. Don’t sign a petition. Vote Democrat in 8 months. That’s all that matters.
