It pays to bribe Trump. Excuse me. "Donate" to Trump.

The depths of corruption in this administration seem to have no bottom, diapered or otherwise.

I think he dropped it again in the trench out there. It’s possibly into the Titan territory, maybe hit one of the wormholes into the bottomless deep.
It’s the only thing that explains it.

Hats off to him, Jacques packed it in a while ago.

One thing I think is interesting is that it would be naive to think all of this c*** wasn’t going on previously, it’s just that Trump made it ok do it openly. Thats also his perspective… that we are all suckers for not knowing that.

Stupid question. They’ve already donated the money and he already spent it. He’s not going to rely on campaign funding in the future (let’s put aside 3rd term stuff for the moment). Why do politicians have to stay loyal to their “donors” in these cases? Can’t they just take the money and run?

Trump does take the money for himself and his family. His governing style is transactional. He does not weigh how his decisions help the USA or his constituents, except those who give him more pallets of cash.
In the case of Live Nation/Ticketmaster, all of us who want to see good music are getting screwed by the vertical monopoly that Trump approved.

Trump is still President. He has every lever he can pull to f*** with their livelihood. Government contracts can end. Audits can commence. Mergers can be denied.

Of course he did. This is every other day for him. Someone comes to lobby about something and he presses it. Whether it’s this, or the new bridge crossing with Canada or hell the war with Iran is someone telling him some bullshit and him doing what he is told.

NC AG Jeff Jackson has been working diligently to break up the Ticketmaster/LiveNation monopoly. Here he speaks about to the backroom deal between USDOJ and LiveNation that happened two weeks ago:

The much vaunted checks and balances no longer exist. They relied on a degree of civility, honesty and plain decency that the GOP just don’t have.

They may have a deal with the FED, but the States are still pursuing an actual resolution. Jeff Jackson in NC made a video about it a couple weeks ago

Why does the executive branch have any say over this? Isn't there supposed to be a separation of branches so this stuff doesn't happen?

Well of course. The bribe was paid. Conservatives love that their lord is so easy to purchase.

Trump dissolved his Presidential Library commission. All the money donated by billionaire CEOs to buy influence went into his pocket. You think any of them are going to scream fraud? You think anyone in the DOJ will investigate? No. They won't.
