One of the reasons he says crazy shit *all the f****** time* is because he knows it keeps him in the news, and therefore keeps him relevant. The fact that he's President means the crazy shit he says is *guaranteed* to be main headlines everywhere. If he had never won in 2016, very few people would care about the crazy shit he says. Just \~100,000 votes across what, 3 states? And about 99% of his noise would have been just him yelling at his staff in Mar-a-lago.

Add to the fact, since he was born, he thought of himself as god's gift to this world. There is a reason why he posted an AI image of him as Jesus, because he wants to stand in Jesus place. In his mind he has more than enough followers, he is divine, he's been told countless times that he was appointed to be President of the United States by god himself. When posting that image trump wanted to show his cultist that the true son of god was here to take his rightful place and he needs to be worshiped.

Because of his feelings, he can have the US agencies through cronies and yes man ruin or give a bad time for a company or individual.
He can do much worse. And we can’t dismiss his ravings as some mental deranged person shouting at the sky on some street corner.

I think we are at the point where most people, living anywhere on the planet, can point out at least one way in which Donald Trump has made their life demonstrably worse. I live in Canada and I can say that without a doubt his Presidency has personally cost me in the 10's of thousands of dollars in lost income and high inflation (and I am not particularly 'high income' by Canadian standards). I suspect Canada has suffered more than most on account of his Presidency, but I suspect it is felt more or less everywhere. The only country he really seems to have done much to help out thus far has been Russia.

I'd argue that since Trump's time in office, US global influence is significantly reduced as a direct result of his ability to communicate through social media. He holds the headlines, but, in a year, governments the world over have rapidly divested their stake in the former US hegemony, due to \[Trump's\] instability.
The move towards a multipolar world was a nascent IR theory until Trump got his hands on the wheel, Pax Americana was just about hanging on. Ironically, in his America First policy, Trump has heralded a new era of waning US control.

I am not a smart person. Not by any measurements.
But when a country is in so much debt, how can it be the richest country?
44
MaximumZer01 day ago
+48
The vast majority of the debt is held by American individuals and businesses. We're "in debt" because people buy treasury bonds. About 20% of the national debt is to other countries, and that's almost entirely to allies like Australia and Japan who *also* voluntarily sent us money as an investment with an interest accrual.
The federal government *could* limit debt intake, but that would harm a lot of small businesses and middle-class-ish people who buy bonds specifically to get the interest, which helps us fund programs and also spurs financial confidence in foreign markets.
Edit because that doesn't tell the whole story: A lot of that debt that is sold is "replacing" money that is set aside in trusts for programs like Social Security, SSDI, Federal Pensions and Retirement, and Medicare.
[More info (in the form of very dry financial forms) here.](https://fiscal.treasury.gov/system/files/2026-03/executive-summary-2025.pdf)

It gets repaid constantly. Bonds have a term. Most of the ones I dealt with in banking were 5 years, after which they get paid out with interest. You can re-up them, but even local and state bonds have a time limit. There are a lot of governments that will sell more bonds to cover bonds, but that's pretty terrible fiscal management.

Trump - Insults British war dead and threatens the UK for not sending more to die for him and his while threatening to make life worse for Brits overall.
Harry - Actively asked to serve front line combat and did so (IIRC being pulled only after foreign newspapers printed his active deployment, pulled to protect those around him as he would put them in explicit danger) while also advocating for multiple charities and organizations about improving the lives of British people.
Harry might act a bit of a tit like a great many toffs, but the guy doesnt actively go out his way to make life worse for the people of the UK or advocate policies which would do so (along with ofc, royals generally trying to stay out of too much political stuff, yet alone those who give up their titles etc).

The thought of the royal family publicly cursing out Trump is hilarious and it might happen.

Then wtf is Americans celebrating on July 4, if their head of state is representing literally the country they declared independence from?

“I’m the best general that ever was” - never served
“I know more about business than anyone” - Bankrupted multiple times
“I’m the most Christian president ever” - never been to church, can’t cite a single Bible verse, beefs with the pope, and post image of himself as literal Christ.
Anyone see a trend here?

The worst part of Trump's ramblings is that he truly believes in the c*** he says: he's utterly disconnected from reality

Just imagine if the world started ignoring Donald Trump specifically, what a beautiful place this could be? Like, sure, talk about "US actions" that have direct and measurable consequence but stop quoting Trump on every inane thing that flies out of his mouth for attention EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMNED DAY.

All the prickiest pricks in the UK hate Harry and love Trump. I dont know the guy but if he ruffles the feathers of so many Nicolas Witchel wankers then he cant be all bad.

Trump is a megalomaniac. People with a this narcissistic personality disorder have a pathological obsession with wealth and control, and have delusions of being superior to everyone else.
How the citizens of America elected this mentality I’ll pervert twice is a testimony to how stupid we’ve become.

Prince Harry speaks for UK = 0
Trump speaks for UK 1000x more than Prince Harry = 1000x0 = 0
Simple math

Harry should get at least 1 point just by being a citizen. Maybe another seeing that he is a veteran and his work with war wounded was a part of the reason he is there.
Harry knows he isn't there on behalf of the UK government or the Crown. Rational people know that. It's the pudding brained people that can't seem to figure it out.

So according to common sense, that means Prince Harry speaks for the UK more than Trump. Why'd he bother confirming what we already knew?

Trump is just using/playing on what the right-wing rags like the Daily Racist, Torygraph, Express, Sun, etc, say continually, which is what keeps happening.
Either that or he parrots what Nigel Garage and Tommy F***-knuckle and co says.
