Do any journalists *ever* push back on his bullshit or do they just sit there nodding?
447
LordSiravant Mar 30, 2026 +228
If they do, they get punished. Actual journalism has been discouraged ever since all the mainstream outlets were bought out by the very oligarchs they were trying to push against.
228
Theferael_me Mar 30, 2026 +83
So they're just taking dictation and picking up a pay cheque.

Affectionate_Town273 Mar 30, 2026 +1
essentially
1

Yes, and the pay is abysmal.

They're cowards
1
TERRAIN_PULL_UP_ Mar 30, 2026 -32
What do you do?
-32
Theferael_me Mar 30, 2026 +32
What's that got to do with anything? If you're a plumber don't call yourself a chef. And if you're a stenographer don't call yourself a journalist.
32
oneawesomewave Mar 30, 2026 +1
I mean...one could start with: do you pay for any good journalists? If not. Why do you expect any good journalists to show up? Real journalism in the US has been broken years ago. What you see right now is tbe. Just compare it to journalism and how media is financed in comparison - you might get an idea what to do.
1
ryvern82 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Ya know.. I used to pay for the NYT, but that didn't stop them from becoming a rag. I pay for NPR and harass my congresspeople about it, but they were still taking money from Facebook and got defunded. I pay for Reuters, fingers crossed there. But let's not throw this all back on the consumer. There has been a coordinated effort, a conspiracy if you will, to coopt, buy up, intimidate, and silence critical media voices in the US.

My f****** job, unlike those so called “journalists”
1
redditallreddy Mar 30, 2026 +9
I make elderly ladies feel like teenagers again. Really, I’m like a therapist. It’s so rewarding, I think I’d do it even if they didn’t leave everything to me in their wills.

AliceInMyDreams Mar 30, 2026 +1
I appreciate you volunteering this information - which I will assume is the truth and nobody will convince me otherwise - despite nobody asking.
1
YouWereBrained Mar 30, 2026 +1
Ok, so get punished. Make sure it has been recorded, so they can’t lie about it.
1
Gleemonex4Pets Mar 30, 2026 +1
i'm starting to realize the vast majority of americans will sell out democracy, the constitution, and everyone else on the planet for three dollars and the chance to look down on others
1
ScootyMcTrainhat Mar 30, 2026 +1
$2.50 and a chance of a chance.
1
ithinkyouresus Mar 30, 2026 +1
$2.00 and you get a promise to talk about maybe getting a chance. Final offer.
1
Thin-Discipline1673 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I'll take 1/2 gallon of gas, I guess that would be a 6th of a gallon to under cut $2.00.
1
Llian_Winter Mar 30, 2026 +1
Hell, it seems a lot of them will do it and *pay* that $3 as long as they get the chance to look down on someone else.
1
stealthlysprockets Mar 30, 2026 +1
It has. Remember when they tried to purge the press pool?
1
Mouthshitter Mar 30, 2026 +1
Just like Russia
1
ManfromMonroe Mar 30, 2026 +1
Welp, Mango Mussolini is pretty cozy with MBS who is had the journalist Kashogi killed and chopped up in their embassy. I could see where members of the WH press pool would have uneasy thoughts especially when they see ghouls like Steven Miller in the cabinet!

Start following Youtube journalists. They're asking the tough questions.
1
NorthernSkeptic Mar 30, 2026 +1
Are they asking them to the relevant people though?
1

Well, how about then not attending these shows?

Punished with what? Lack of access? Access is worthless if they are only supplying propaganda anyway

They get the "Quiet, piggy" treatment.
1
Orwells_Roses Mar 30, 2026 +1
Democracy died in the darkness after all. The Epstein class bought all the media and use it for Republican propaganda.
1
Stigger32 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Nah. Democracy is fine. In the vast majority of democratic countries. It’s just that the US version of democracy has gone the way of the Dodo.
1
birdsemenfantasy Mar 30, 2026 +1
The Epstein list is international. Wake up.
1
Hardly_lolling Mar 30, 2026 +1
Can you name all the countries who elected a central figure in those files as their king? I mean UK literally stripped the title from the biggest name they had in that list, America decided to go other way and reward the person. Whataboutism doesn't work here.
1
birdsemenfantasy Mar 30, 2026 +1
The UK has been corrupt for at least 50 years longer than us and it's all swept under the rug. Look up Ted Heath, Anthony Blunt (who was also a traitor, part of the Cambridge Five), Enoch Powell, Cyril Smith. This was publicly known by insiders as early as 1984 [Westminster dossier](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_paedophile_dossier). Prince Andrew, Jimmy Savile, Lord Mandelson, BBC's Huw Edwards, Phillip Schofield, ICC Karim Khan and his brother ex-MP Imran Ahmad Khan, Robert Maxwell were just the tip of the iceberg.
1
Hardly_lolling Mar 30, 2026 +1
Yet they did react to Prince Andrew in Epstein files. I think you are proving my point here with your whataboutism.
1
birdsemenfantasy Mar 30, 2026 +1
Yet they have failed to respond to [Ted Heath](https://www.dw.com/en/british-police-investigate-ex-pm-child-abuse-claims/a-18626421) and the [Westminster dossier](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_paedophile_dossier). You haven't proven anything. Sending Andrew into a quiet retirement is the definition of a PR move and slap on the wrist (he didn't have a major role to begin with). No one is being held accountable. Not Mandelson. Not Andrew. Even morning show host Philip Schofield and BBC anchor Huw Edwards are walking free.
1
Hardly_lolling Mar 30, 2026 +1
You are proving a point that even though Brits have some sort of history on the issue they actually did react on Epstein files. Americans elected the pedofile as their king. Yes, I get it: you are desperately trying to move the goalposts to make some kind of a point on whatever unrelated thing but if you are trying to deny that the reaction on Epstein files is similar in US and UK you are wrong. Being voted in the office and having your title stripped are not the same thing.
1
JamUpGuy1989 Mar 30, 2026 +1
It's been two years now and you're STILL asking this for karma points?
1
NotThatHandsomePete Mar 30, 2026 +1
Kudos to that young guy asking him why he was the only person saying Iran attacked that girls school with a Tomahawk. The fact that he did that made Chump look like the lying sack of shit he is.
1
juanjung Mar 30, 2026 +1
They just sit and nod.
1
613codyrex Mar 30, 2026 +1
Why would they? The likes of NYT, WaPo, CNN and even the BBC exist not to actually be real journalists, or even provide consistent or reliable information, they exist to manufacture consent. They wouldn’t be feeding their Middle East coverage through Israeli military censors or their “Jerusalem Bureaus” if they actually wanted to live up to their expectations. Just Trump and his cronies are so stupid that they’d rather pick a fighting with their #1 propaganda machines on pentagon press access over meaningless and lukewarm criticism of things that don’t matter instead of doing what every administration have done before, eat that minor criticism while NYT and WaPo happily eat up the really big stuff from the US/Israeli government without question Watergate would not have happened today. Not because modern day Nixon wouldn’t do it, but the moment WaPo heard about the story from the informant, they would have already handed over everything and their names to the government.
1
nickerbocker79 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Fox News and Newsmax probably smile and nod. The rest probably are probably too dumbfounded to push back.
1
f8Negative Mar 30, 2026 +1
Why they even ask this guy anything is beyond me. A carrot has more intelligence.
1
Fickle-Molasses-903 Mar 30, 2026 +1
They're just saving their performative outrage when Democrats get into office. Part of me wishes I weren't serious, but there's a reason why MAGA brought CNN and CBS. You control the media, you control the narrative.
1
OriginalTechnical531 Mar 30, 2026 +275
The worst case is the USA makes it clear they intend to invade and dispose the regime completely, and the regime decides before that can happen they are going to destroy all of the gulf states and their own infrastructure to deny it to the USA, dooming the global economy for a decade. Trump is such a simpleton he has no idea how much time and effort it takes to build all of this stuff. "What, you just pump it out of the ground, easy!" - Morons

HOS-SKA Mar 30, 2026 +103

Time to listen to Ballad of the Black Gold again. This is the ballad of the black gold, they call it Texas tea But it's bigger than a cowboy with a lasso It's deeper than a black hole, create monopolies Except they collect a fee when you pass go Crisis international, the government de facto We got no control of this fiasco
2
mike-deadmonton Mar 30, 2026 +7
At one time it was that simple. In Ontario, drilled 150 feet, but could not control production, guess it left several feet of oil all over for miles. C**** oil is gone though, dig up bitumen or use convoluted drilling to pull out of shale. Or crazier, try diplomacy with low cost Gulf countries

He also just doesn't care. He's much closer to the end of his life than his prime, and he has the opposite mentality of that of the person who plants a tree so that their grandchildren can enjoy the shade. If he can stuff his pockets now, he's okay with it.

When will the adults decide to rise and stop what is a slow motion foreign disaster facing the US. This is not winnable in any scenario. The cost outweighs any benefits.
1
DamnedIfIDiddely Mar 30, 2026 +1
When the cost of rising up no longer outweighs the benefits of keeping one's head down I suppose. These people have money and station, these are people whose *ambitions*, were money and station, people who achieved it. It's a big gamble to put their finances and life of luxury on the line for anything less than a sure thing, and then there's always the issue of those adults who even think about pushing back having to have the resolve to resist the temptation to accept what amounts to a large increase in their finances, to just... keep their heads down some more Of the voters who put these representatives in place, only 1/3rd of them are aware of what the stakes *actually* are, and of that 1/3rd there is a gauntlet of groups who are diametrically opposed to each other on many issues, so the representatives never get a push large enough to motivate them.
1
kayakguy429 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Seriously, we tried this experiment in 2001 and it lasted 20 years! We managed to step away for 5 and were right back where we started. You know what the definition of doing the same thing and expecting different results is? Insanity.
1
2much2Jung Mar 30, 2026 +1
>You know what the definition of doing the same thing and expecting different results is? Insanity. Or, practice.
1
freerangemary Mar 30, 2026 +15
*Decades This is exactly what they’d do. Why let your enemies have it. They already live in a war torn theocracy. It’s not gonna get worse. The people need to rise up, but it’s not up to me. We totally lit a fuse, and this ass-hat can’t self regulate.
15
2much2Jung Mar 30, 2026 +1
If Americans won't rise up against fascism, why would you expect the Iranians to rise up against theocracy?
1
freerangemary Mar 30, 2026 +1
Fair point. Counterpoint: Americans have more comfort and more to lose than Iranians.
1
Gleemonex4Pets Mar 30, 2026 +1
Iranians lost their *lives* in the thousands, protesting their regime. What do you mean they had less to lose? Americans won't take a day off work to hold up a sign because their boss might look at them funny.
1
LURKER21D Mar 30, 2026 +1
we're watching all that power and status burn right down. something needs to be done before we're another shithole. it's not just the military making us a superpower, it's the petrodollar and if the rest of the world moves of USD we're truly fuckd. we might be already if bond yields go up while we owe 40T. we're losing right now.
1
OkProfessional6077 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Well, the best thing that will come from that scenario is that it will force us to have to go full bore into Electric Vehicles and Renewable Energy.
1
LURKER21D Mar 30, 2026 +1
yeah, best for the world, but americans ceded that race to China and others, while they committed to "drill baby drill" it's going to be really painful to lose all those petrodollars. we go bankrupt as a nation.

Drill drill drill baby /s
1
MrPloppyHead Mar 30, 2026 +1
personally I think their intention is to massively f*** up oil and gas supply as the US is a oil exporter and now has control of venezualan oil fields. also russia was economically getting fucked but has just had trump give them a life line. People are focused on the regime change/iran bad scenario. the paedophiles do not give a shit about that.
1
snakerjake Mar 30, 2026 +1
>Trump is such a simpleton he has no idea how much time and effort it takes to build all of this stuff. The military has some impressive temporary infrastructure capabilities, bridges in minutes kind of stuff, all super temporary thought. conspiracy theory here what if they've developed similarly temporary well "drilling" and pumping equipment meant to last just long enough to bring in and build the proper infrastructure to extract it. It would be the natural progression of our military development given we really built up that other infrastructure building stuff during the bush years
1
MonsieurReynard Mar 30, 2026 +1
Not really possible.
1
superkeer Mar 30, 2026 +97
This would be the most serious war of modern age and we have the most un-serious people leading it. As a kid who grew up at the tail end of the Cold War, the concept nuclear annihilation only started making sense to me after the Wall fell and I got a little older. I never really was afraid of the end times like my parents were. But now, I am genuinely afraid of this non-zero chance that the world will end because of these people.
97
literallytwisted Mar 30, 2026 +42
Iv'e been telling people I felt safer in the 80s with the Cold War than I do now, If nothing else because back then it would've been over quickly. Also the people in charge were not utterly insane. These people really make me nervous! Trump may launch nukes when he's on his deathbed just because he hates most people for rejecting him, Congress and even the 1% are off in fantasyland thinking they will survive whatever happens.
42
mike-deadmonton Mar 30, 2026 +6
Only hope is he loses nuclear football.
6
literallytwisted Mar 30, 2026 +5
I'm not sure if it's more terrifying or funny that that's an actual possibility now!
5
Bewbonic Mar 30, 2026 +1
>But now, I am genuinely afraid of this non-zero chance that the world will end because of these people The climate crisis denialism of these machiavellian clowns alone will end the world within the lifetime of someone born today. All this war stuff is just accelerating the process.
1
Beeman_75 Mar 30, 2026 +1
It's astonishing how close humanity has come to nuclear war not once but a couple of times. And we now have an idiot president in the White House surrounding himself with sycophants and chest-beating fools. What could possibly go wrong.
1
Mr-Meow-Sir Mar 30, 2026 +1
I'm honestly convinced Trump had explicitly said to just nuke them, and what sanity is left in the chain of command had squashed it.
1
PersimmonWorried2155 Mar 30, 2026 +6
Honestly, if Trump did not send troops to Khartoum Island, I would be seriously worried Israel was planning to nuke it.  Without Kharg Island, Iran would likely collapse before they could rebuild it.
6
woom Mar 30, 2026 +1
Yeah, I have no doubt that Trump would reach for the nukes if he's cornered. And he surrounds himself with people that actually thinks waging war in the middle east will bring back Christ, so they will probably cheer him on. There's this BBC movie from 1984 ("Threads") that outlines a timeline that now - again - seems plausible; it all starts in Iran, after a B-52 bombing raid is met with nuclear anti-air. [https://youtu.be/IUmUz8ol9Ow](https://youtu.be/IUmUz8ol9Ow)
1
MonsieurReynard Mar 30, 2026 +1
“Nuclear anti-air” is not really a thing
1
JamUpGuy1989 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Okay, doomer. It's not the end of the world and being way too dramatic.
1
CT_Phipps-Author Mar 30, 2026 +43
I remember the exact moment I stopped being a Republican. It was when George W. Bush said that Iraq would pay for the war with oil and I was like, "We're not liberating them but ROBBING them?" I mean, I was an idiot at 20 but it was still shocking that it took to that point.
43
view-master Mar 30, 2026 +19
And all the Republicans I knew that were excited about invading hated Bush at the end and acted like it was a terrible idea. Hopefully this will break the strange spell Trump has on so many. Dead soldiers who only died for oil isn’t great optics. My niece really wanted to be in the service. But when she got to be the age to enlist she saw where soldiers were being deployed and heard the talk of invading Greenland. That wasn’t what she had in mind. She will likely be a paramedic instead.
19
Dry-University797 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Oh and remember when the Republicans call anyone who opposed the war "traitors"?
1
Mr_HandSmall Mar 30, 2026 +1
Definitely remember that
1
GriffinFlash Mar 30, 2026 +32
I am so tired of them just not even hiding it and no one doing shit about it. The US can just take the oil in Venezuela. Just take the oil in Iran. Soon just take the oil in Greenland, then take the oil in Canada, then they just keep on going.
32
finetuneit80 Mar 30, 2026 +18
That’s right. The bullies of the world think they can do whatever they want. I kinda wish Iran would put them in their place.
18
Prestigious-Car-4877 Mar 30, 2026 +13
Iran is more than capable of making this very difficult. Maybe Trump's supporters will start getting upset at this when the flag draped coffins become impossible to ignore.
13
finetuneit80 Mar 30, 2026 +6
Honestly, they should at this point. Maybe that’s what it’s going to take for these idiots to finally wake the f**k up.
6
Stupidwhizzzzz Mar 30, 2026 +1
I bet you $5 they just blame it on trans people or something and justify it with mental gymnastics.
1

2

1
Hairydone Mar 30, 2026 +1
Doesn’t matter how powerful a military is, invading another country is always a terrible move. It’s safe to say Trump and Hegseth have never read a history book.
1
finetuneit80 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I agree. I just don’t understand how a certain portion of the US population can’t see that the US are the “bad guys” in this scenario. The US is being used by Israel to assist in expanding their territory.
1
CrotasScrota84 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Well they kind of are doing that with the Strait
1
TheOsirisOfThisShit_ Mar 30, 2026 +1
Who are you expecting to do shit about it? America's voters wanted a rapist to be in charge. This is the obvious result.
1
RPtheFP Mar 30, 2026 +1
I mean, Iran is doing something about it right now.
1
H4NKSCORP10 Mar 30, 2026 +1
This is what happens when you don’t punish the treasonous war criminals in the Reagan and Bush administrations. You get someone like Trump just openly admitting the USA will provoke countries into war, steal their resources and backstab their allies in the process. There is no veneer of respectability or plausible deniability. Your sons/daughters are going to die to make oil executives rich, give Zionists more regional power and provide cover for pedophiles. They’re certainly not “fighting for our freedoms” or any of that other nonsense.
1

This is objectively insane. This is giving up many American lives, military hardware and readiness, ensuring the Iranian public hates us (even more? I don't know how they perceive this for now), makes the US an international pariah, and all for a few stinking companies peddling a dying product.

The oil that we “don’t need,” and even if we did, the War is already won, except its not a war, it’s a military operation, because you need to “ask for permission” for a war, but it’s only going to take a few days, or months, or years, because we need the European allies to help us open the Strait, but we don’t need their help at all because there’s no imminent threat, because their nuclear capabilities were “totally obliterated” last June, so we have to go boots on the ground because they could launch a nuke any day now since we’ve toppled their regime by “cutting the head off the snake,” except the son is worse, but we’ve negotiated a deal, but we haven’t, but they gave us a “tremendous gift” by not destroying a few ships, and gas prices are a Democrat hoax.

Donald Trump has said he wants to ‘take the oil in Iran’, as the US sends thousands of troops to the Middle East while negotiations with Tehran continue. ‘Maybe we take Kharg Island, maybe we don’t. We have a lot of options,’ the US president told the FT in an interview on Sunday. **Read the full story for free by registering here:** [https://www.ft.com/content/3bd9fb6c-2985-4d24-b86b-23b7884031f5?segmentid=c50c86e4-586b-23ea-1ac1-7601c9c2476f](https://www.ft.com/content/3bd9fb6c-2985-4d24-b86b-23b7884031f5?segmentid=c50c86e4-586b-23ea-1ac1-7601c9c2476f) Kima — FT social media team

Look, we’re not trying to take the oil in Iran—okay? Not at all. I see these reports, very nasty reports—“Oh, he wants the oil.” I say, oil? Who said anything about oil? Nobody told me about oil. Are you cooking? I walk in, they say “sir, oil, oil”—I say, what oil? I don’t even see oil. Is there oil here? I don’t know.

BigDaddySteve999 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Hey, Financial Times, we all know you run in the same circles as Republican politicians. How about you all work up the testicular fortitude to impeach Trump's whole administration and put some adults in charge?
1
TimeTravelingChris Mar 30, 2026 +7
It's insane if he thinks it works this way.
7
purplebrown_updown Mar 30, 2026 +1
Trump doesn’t realize Iran is surrounded by mountains I feel. He thinks we can just drink their milkshake.
1
ANTILAMER13 Mar 30, 2026 +6
They “took” the oil in another place and they got them nowhere.
6
potato_bus Mar 30, 2026 +5
wow, Trump broadcasting that US troops will invade Kharg Island. Thanks for confirming for the Iranians, I’m sure this won’t cost American lives
5
BigHungryFlamingo Mar 30, 2026 +5
The US *could* have a nationwide pizza party puppy parade and provide flying bicycles and balloons to everyone tomorrow but that probably won’t happen.
5
JuniperJupiter4 Mar 30, 2026 +7
Sounds like Vermin Supreme's platform. Who would be a supremely better choice right now.
7
BigHungryFlamingo Mar 30, 2026 +1
We need him in the senate.

Marianne Williamson's [healing crystals are sounding pretty good right about now](https://reason.com/2019/08/21/marianne-williamson-wants-to-defeat-dark-psychic-forces-with-new-department-of-peace/).

dubphonics Mar 30, 2026 +1
Nothing Trump says will ever work out. He is the personification of failure. As such, this war, regardless of its outcome, has failed from the get-go. To deceive regularly and strategically embolden your opponent as a function of failed tactics will only make the world worse. And as usual, someone else with actual pants on, not diapers, will have to clean up the mess this manic child of a leader has inflicted on the planet. What a bloody mess.
1
Canadian_Invader Mar 30, 2026 +1
You will lose far more treasure trying to take that oil then you'll get out of it.
1
smoike Mar 30, 2026 +1
Some of you may die, but it is a price I am [willing to make](https://youtu.be/hiKuxfcSrEU?t=22). I mean I don't mean to make fun of this, as Trump's actions are goddamn horrific and borderline evil. But holy hell, Unfortunately this immediately came to mind when reading this.
1
Canadian_Invader Mar 30, 2026 +1
Trump is very Farquad coded.
1
landomakesatable Mar 30, 2026 +5
oh so it is about the oil
5
Procrastineddit Mar 30, 2026 +1
Always is
1
FnClassy Mar 30, 2026 +5
I was told in a different thread last week that it wasn't about the oil...then again, he could say that to MAGA directly and they would still think that he was sent by God to save them. Bunch of f****** morons.
5
AlpineAvalanche Mar 30, 2026 +1
Somehow this moron is actively stealing oil from one country and trying to from another but still spiking gas prices to record highs. Impressive.
1
kostac600 Mar 30, 2026 +1
He is quite mad. We all know it but the factions need to unite on this and legally overturn this mess
1
foo-bar-25 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I’m beginning to see why Iran wants nuclear weapons.
1
buffalotrace Mar 30, 2026 +3
This guy is so stupid it hurts.
3
angryapplepanda Mar 30, 2026 +3
Trump only thinks of other countries in terms of what he can exploit to enrich himself. Everything is transactional. Altruism does not exist in his mind.
3
BlackAle Mar 30, 2026 +3
The US won't take anything as they'll most likely lose. There is a reason the US has never attacked Iran directly.
3
Bircka Mar 30, 2026 +1
The three biggest oil reserves in the world are in Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. America has now attacked every one of those countries at least once, what a crazy coincidence. /s
1
MonsieurReynard Mar 30, 2026 +1
Wait, when did the US attack Saudi Arabia?
1
VonKaplow Mar 30, 2026 +1
Iran is giddily waiting for him to come and try. I feel for our men and women in uniform. They are being put in harms way for an orang fools greed and stupidity, and the fact that he has sold us to aipac billionaires such as adelson and larry ellison and bill f@ing ackman.
1
distinctvagueness Mar 30, 2026 +1
Just build solar
1
joeygsta Mar 30, 2026 +1
Oh so he isn’t trying to free the Iranians? Lol
1
hhh333 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Also, Donald is a lunatic with dementia.
1
Low_Razzmatazz793 Mar 30, 2026 +2
the oily man
2
blues111 Mar 30, 2026 +2
Of course that was always part of the plan
2
Williamsjt316 Mar 30, 2026 +2
please just shut the f*** up
2
Raspberries-Are-Evil Mar 30, 2026 +2
I mean, I “can take” the Crown Jewels. Devil is in the details.
2
nasorrty346tfrgser Mar 30, 2026 +2
We certainly can, but then the oil would be so expensive that confiscating them would be worse than buying them
2
MourningRIF Mar 30, 2026 +2
Just take it huh? Who is gonna pump it out of the ground while they get shot at?
2
300pound_Somoan Mar 30, 2026 +1
Silly question but how does he get away with the stuff he does? Are there no controls in place to stop him?
1
SodaCanBob Mar 30, 2026 +1
> Are there no controls in place to stop him? That should be Congress and/or the Supreme Court, but both are currently run by and filled with his cultists.
1
cardinalb Mar 30, 2026 +1
They don't care in the US as they are driven by money and generally sycophantic towards their leaders. You have democrats voting with Trump so there's no point in trying to say it's purely a republican problem.
1
programamsterdam Mar 30, 2026 +1
Or Trump is trying to help Tesla sales. Or cold fusion has come to fruition.
1
Radiant-Month-1168 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Same thing he did in Venezuela. Trump will take iran oil, sell it, and put the profits in Trump's personal qatar bank account. Stealing all the money. He will steal all the money and run away letting the same shitty government stay in power. Nothing will improve for iran.
1
TheMoorNextDoor Mar 30, 2026 +1
The same oil that your administration and Israel keep blowing up? Which in return Iran will keep blowing up the GCC’s oil meaning 200+ dollar a barrel (250 dollars a barrel actually look possible based on charts) and worldwide depression? A country that is more than capable of actually causing us mass casualties? The first modern military that we’ve fought that has precision strike capability and leading drone technology a new way of warfare we are not equipped to handle? These are not serious people.
1
Angry-Dragon-1331 Mar 30, 2026 +1
They will quite literally set it on fire and burn the region to the ground before letting us take it.
1
skeptolojist Mar 30, 2026 +1
Everything will be booby trapped From the rafters to the foundations some set not to go active for weeks or months And didn't the regime have a whole bunch of enriched nuclear materials the no longer posses the infrastructure to turn into a proper nuke? This is such a stupid idea
1
falilth Mar 30, 2026 +1
Sure lets say troops take kharg island. Whats to stop Iran from then just blowing it sky high with troops on the island out of spite?
1
smoike Mar 30, 2026 +1
I wouldn't expect them to do anything else honestly.
1
waffle299 Mar 30, 2026 +1
You mean, like, *theft?*
1
TheorySudden5996 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I guess we’re f****** pirates now?
1
FaerieQuene Mar 30, 2026 +1
10 years from now the entire rest of the world will be on clean energy and we’ll still be chugging away on oil
1
orcinyadders Mar 30, 2026 +1
This might sound crazy. But between “we obliterated their ability to develop nuclear weapons” six months ago, “Jared told me to do it” two weeks ago, and “we will take the oil” yesterday, it sort of seems like Trump started this war for the oil, and is happy to blame his son in law.
1
CGI_OCD Mar 30, 2026 +1
"Take"..take how? It's not laying around in a brown paperbag ready "to go" . Iran is not Costco....ffs.
1
separation_of_powers Mar 30, 2026 +1
It's blatantly obvious the US is holding the world hostage at this point
1
True_Dog_4098 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Trump is willing to trade US soldiers for oil.
1
New-Bite987 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Blood for oil. What a brilliant strategy
1
DukeOfJokes Mar 30, 2026 +1
He just sent 50,000 troops to die in slaughter all because he refuses to be honest and in denial about Epstein Island. The same truth that we as Americans already know. F*** anyone still supporting this. They shouldn't have to die.
1
ramonapalin Mar 30, 2026 +1
He's not smart enough to understand anything...
1
no_kids-and-3_money Mar 30, 2026 +1
And then we can blast everyone into space to start looking for more wars to start and steal resources we don’t even know exist yet.
1
GoodVibrations77 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I suppose if the USA takes Iran oil then everybody in the region will have a hard time selling oil for a long time, USA included.
1
mandiblesofdoom Mar 30, 2026 +1
sure, Don
1
fentemperor Mar 30, 2026 +1
Looter. Raise those taxes. See how they like some looting.
1
Avoidtolls Mar 30, 2026 +1
That's the whole point.
1
Procrastineddit Mar 30, 2026 +1
Well, good luck with that. By which I unfortunately mean good luck to all of us in the future if he tries that because we're pretty much fucked if they try.
1
No-Cup-8096 Mar 30, 2026 +1
He, Putin and Netanyahu just take what they desire.
1
MasterOfBunnies Mar 30, 2026 +1
Can't do shit over there, and they all know it. Biggest blowhard.
1
whatlineisitanyway Mar 30, 2026 +1
If the regime there thought that was a possibility they would destroy everything so fast and it would take years to rebuild. Not to mention the scorched earth policy they would have for infrastructure in the region.
1
dancefan2019 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Yup, I'm sure that greedy b****** would love to steal Iran's oil.
1
dingusmingus2222 Mar 30, 2026 +1
So are we past liberating the Iranian people now? Have we fully shed that cloak of lies? Because if you're bombing their infrastructure and stealing their oil I'm not sure there's gonna be much left to liberate.
1
gaanmetde Mar 30, 2026 +1
Whoops that was supposed to be an inside thought I think.
1
palmerama Mar 30, 2026 +1
Taking it at face value, if he takes the oil the world suffers. He will extort the world with it.
1
Tofurkey_Tom Mar 30, 2026 +1
Where is the oil he took from Venezuela?
1
roman00000 Mar 30, 2026
Let USA Take It. Yeah
