Yeah, but unfortunately, rock bottom still appears to be nowhere in sight.
1
rvingthrulife Apr 1, 2026 +1
That's because there is no rock bottom for him: only a trapdoor down to the next sublevel.
1
cwk415 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Or because he has a reliable army of completely unscrupulous accomplices who will always cover for him *no matter what.* He gets too much credit. He is an incompetent deranged criminal. He only gets away with it all because of the many smart but evil people willing to protect him. If it weren't for all of them he'd be behind bars right now.
1
ImpressiveMethod8624 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Either you misunderstand the meaning of smart or you are giving way too much credit to his cabinet and the GOP. The smart ones have helped steal the money and are running away in the next elections.
1
cwk415 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I wasn't referring to his cabinet so much as his army of lawyers.
1
TheSilkyBat Apr 1, 2026 +1
And the donors who want the tax breaks they bribed him with.
1
ImpressiveMethod8624 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It should definitely be illegal for lawyers to manipulate the intentions of laws to break them for their wealthy clients and they should be held accountable as well.
1
TurtleToast2 Apr 1, 2026 +1
None of them are smart, they've all just got a ton of dirt on each other. The whole system is running on blackmail, threats, and violence.

So we live in the backrooms?
1

The backrooms of Epstein Island.
1
Fjell-Jeger Apr 1, 2026 +1
A bottomless pit with the Trum regime descending faster each day. It will be a tough landing for the US and take years to climb out once this is over.
1
Snarfsicle Apr 1, 2026 +1
That's because it's not just him. It's every single Republican in the legislative branch who is a feckless coward who would rather ride this wave of personal enrichment than protect their country.

That and he is absolutely, desperately trying to rig elections, so that even if 75% of the country objectively hates him, he will win based on only allowing 25% of people to vote. Dictators don’t worry about approval ratings, they just change the polls.

robeewankenobee Apr 1, 2026 +1

1
Exavion Apr 1, 2026 +1
This headline has been posted reliably for 6 years, and for some reason chads here keep upvoting it like its real news
1
Strongdar Apr 1, 2026 +1
I will always upvote these, because people's voting habits are based on their perception of reality, not on reality itself, and I want to support the narrative that his presidency is getting worse and worse and worse, rather than just being consistently awful.
1
GoodIdea321 Apr 1, 2026 +1
That is a good behavior to have. Your point might be an important factor in the 'don't comply in advance' idea.
1
Exavion Apr 1, 2026 +1
That's actually my point, though. People seeing this headline over and over (including seeing him get re-elected) is a trust-buster in this media. By exposing voters to this repeated noise, we're not doing much except cementing this forum as a disconnected echo chamber from reality. The reality is the opposite: his presidency is not in a free-fall. The federal government has clawed itself an immense amount of power and the GOP has established itself fairly securely by implementing more voter restrictions and less reigns for the executive branch. There is even non-ironic chatter of ways to get Trump elected for a \*\*third\*\* term, it's a strong desire for many sitting congressional staff and his financial backers. So I don't upvote these. Rather, I try to find more specific source material on how our system is further eroding: specific actions and consequences (SAVE act, for example, comes to mind) I recall over a decade ago, this sub had more interesting promoted topics, but I think as the audience has inflated, the "easiest headline to process and agree with" gets pushed to the top by the echo chamber, and independents seeing this just roll their eyes.
1
Several_Hospital_129 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Exactly. It's not real news because it hasn't actually happened. My entire extended family is MAGA. They will simply continue to find ways to excuse him/blame others for his behavior. They have to, because they can't admit to themselves that they were willing to vote for such a horrible person. Now, if all of the MAGA folks actually vote for a non-Republican in the midterms or presidential election, then it will become news.
1
jl_theprof Apr 1, 2026 +1
How MAGA votes doesn’t matter. How independents vote is what matters. And he’s, those votes change, that’s why you get swings between democrats and republican presidents.
1
Upbeat-Vacation-3374 Apr 1, 2026 +1

1

And they’re destroying everything on the way down, taking us all with them.
1
illit3 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It would take decades to recover if we got on track in 2026 and 2028. I don't see any reason to believe the republicans will become a serious party in the next 2 years so we might be measuring our "return to normal" in half centuries.
1
NeatlyCritical Apr 1, 2026 +1
It will take well over 100 years to undo the damage of these 4 years, and that's if have a streak of democratic wins. But no you will not live to see america fixed if it ever does.
1

1

And even when he does hot rock bottom, our media will be flooding the zone with “Has Donald Trump Really Hit Rock Bottom?” think pieces.
1
mabden Apr 1, 2026 +1
I've said it before, I'll say it again. The real people in charge won't get rid of tRump (unless he expires on his own) until after the midterms (if we have them) and the new congress is installed. Then CF Vance can assume the presidency and still eligible to run for two full terms. Again, if we ever have elections.
1
Aturkeyclub Apr 1, 2026 +1
It’s just an bottomless pit
1
waffle299 Apr 1, 2026 +1
We are discovering how much of our society was protected by shame and convention. He has no shame, and is too dumb to think beyond himself. He's challenging birthright citizenship so he can deport people he doesn't like. It never occurs to him what happens if someone else doesn't like him.

You're an inspiration sir, an inspiration, that's what they say."

If the free fall is toward accountability, he'll never reach it.
1
BlueJay_525 Apr 1, 2026 +1
There's never a rock bottom when they have a propaganda apparatus like they do. He can literally do anything and get away with it and he'll still keep a dwindling chunk of followers loyal to him.

Money will soften the landing for the people who have benefited most from the chaos of the Trump presidencies. Death will insure most of the ancient codgers who voted for him and his party over the last three cycles will not be around to witness the decline, and rapid, perhaps irreversible “ungreatening” of America their policies, gripes, greed, corruption, fear, etc. has wrought. The rest, the majority, who were complicit in the grift but left out, or believed the lies because they imagined they were superior in myriad mindnumbingly dumb ways will return to their root code of blaming ‘the left.’ Which is everyone and everything they don’t like or understand.
1
chrisk9 Apr 1, 2026 +1
The electorate was ultimately supposed to be the last line of defense of democratic institutions - but unfortunately modern technology has proven how manipulatable the voting public is. Media owning oligarchs and funded bad actors can sway key public opinion so easily.

Every other menopausal Karen on Facebook from Indiana or South Dakota or Nebraska swoons over the rapist.
1
jarvisesdios Apr 1, 2026 +1
We don't know that yet. I really really hope that after all this is over the right split into to several parties, as do the left. It's pretty f****** apparent having two parties is what got us here. For instance, I've voted Democrat since I could vote...I absolutely hate that. They're run by idiots that have been needed to be replaced for decades. The things I'd give to vote for anybody but them. The fact that so many of them fought against Mandami at the outset shows how stupid and out of touch they are. Schumer needs to go NOW!. The opposition to this insanity is utterly f****** useless. The best we get is some platitudes on TV and that's about f****** it. As much as I hate Trump, I hate Democrat leadership more. Though, that's the major difference in parties. The left hate the idea of a single figurehead, for the most part. I mean, most of us love Newsome's PR team taking on Trump... But most of us really don't like that guy. The left eat their own, but at least we have some f****** principles. Sorry, that guy rambly and disjointed as I'm stoned as hell and even madder about everything going on. We are being run by the most corrupt idiot ever, and that's saying something, and there's barely any opposition.
1
Faustrolled Apr 1, 2026 +1
What childish nonsense. There will be no splitting. You can't even spell Newsom's name right. I like his policies just fine, he signed free college into law and that helped my kiddo. His leadership resisting Trump on a state level has been excellent, with many successful lawsuits. Which matter a lot more than some f****** tweets. But sure, blame the party that created and protects Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Both sides are totally the same.
1
jarvisesdios Apr 1, 2026 +1
I'm stoned and misspelled his name. It's fine if you want to keep your party moving to the right, that's on you. I want to vote for a f****** candidate that has the same beliefs as me instead of placating to the center like an idiot. It's clear America no longer trusts the center and Democrats refuse to learn that lesson. They had a chance to pivot after Bernie and they didn't. It's fine that you're in the center, I'm not. I want to vote for someone that isn't in the f****** center for a change. Newsom is as center as you f****** get.. And that's how you don't learn a lesson. Trump won because we met e putting forward people like him. It's time the younger bloc take over. F*** Newsom and his truly shitty takes on trans and Israel. He's not how you win a national election, the man doesn't even look real. Trump won because of this "let's be centrist"bullshit. It's clear people like Mamdami are the way forward.
1
IamDDT Apr 1, 2026 +1
I agree with the conclusion that Mamdani et al are the way forward, full stop. Will you vote for Newsom if he is the Democratic nominee, even if he isn't your first choice?
1
jarvisesdios Apr 1, 2026 +1
TBH, we'll see. Likely yes, I'll always vote liberal. You bet your ass I'm voting for anybody but him in the primaries though. He is just such a thoroughly unlikeable and fake person, he is the epitome of what a politician is supposed to look and sound like and he's got some incredibly bad takes on things. He's no Fetterman, sure, but we have better choices than that dickhead. I wish the stigma of being gay wasn't such a thing here, as, honestly... My real choice is going to be Buttigieg. There are few better speakers than he is... But I also know he doesn't have a f****** chance in this country, and it's sad.

1
DrCeeDub Apr 1, 2026 +1
Exactly! I despise these headlines because it frames the issue as if this is a problem for Trump. In reality, we are all on free fall. The US is led by criminals and people wholly incompetent to hold any type of government role. It has already killed so many at home and abroad and the US economy is in shambles for anyone who’s primary incomes does not come from the stock market. We are in free fall and Trump + Republicans are cheering it on. When we do finally hit the bottom guess who’ll really feel the impact? Yep!
1
Fun_Success_3283 Apr 1, 2026 +1
The USA is in freefall. Trump's presidency is doing fine because he has so much power and control he can do whatever he wants with no consequences. The people need to fight harder. When the people fight back, THEN his presidency will be in danger. Boycott, protest, organize.

DrThunderbolt Apr 1, 2026 +1
I'll keep saying it. News outlets *love* Trump, even left leaning ones. There is never ever a lack of a new headline that will get social media traction. All they have to do is post whatever blunder Trump does that day, and everyone on Listnook upvotes it like it actually means anything. There are whole ecosystems involved with reporting on everything Trump does only because there are sad fucks that thrive on doomscrolling and finding articles like this that confirm their biases. Its pretty vile honestly, and like 99% of people are complicit.
1
wxmanify Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yep. And the “former Trump staffer says trump has ‘lost it’ mentally”. And of course “health officials say Trump’s health rapidly deteriorating”. Guys - every one of these headlines is pure unadulterated bullshit. The outlets putting out these stories don’t care that they’re blatantly lying or stretching the truth. Pandering for clicks above all.

Title implies there was grounded stability at some point, which is nonsense. Trump’s reign of stupidity had been nothing but chaos and confusion and incompetence. This administration is only different from his last one because the small handful of genuinely qualified staff he had during his first term have been replaced by ass-kissing dimwits with zero moral foundation but a willingness to shovel his bullshit.
1

Hopefully America will learn its lesson- voting for racism doesn’t pay.
1

It absolutely isn’t. He’s as popular among the MAGA deplorables as ever and no one in Congress is putting up much of a resistance. America is finished unless Trump is severely handicapped after the mid-terms.
1
PaintLicker745 Apr 1, 2026 +1
This headline is posted twice a week at this point.   "Its crumbling around him"   "All time disapproval rate"   "MAGA turning on Trump"   "Days are numbered" Its all bullshit to make listnookors go "Hell yeah" and go about their day as if the country is not imploding.

If America recovers from Trump, IF, it will take decades to recoup the gargantuan money stolen, the destruction of our Rule of Law ethos, the reversing of Constitutional Laws that have stood for decades, the departments of Government that have been stripped bare of knowledge and people, the disgrace and contempt our former allies hold us in, the fear our enemies once had of us, the pride that our Citizens once had of us, and this shit stain that has permeated every aspect of the United States of America.

MPD1978 Apr 1, 2026 +1
He’s still POTUS though. Unless the Dems get it together for the midterms, he’ll still be there till ‘28.
1
Resident_Table6694 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I don’t disagree, but I wish these headlines were coming from reputable sources
1
utlayolisdi Apr 1, 2026 +1
It was in free fall from day one. Lord only knows when it’ll hit bottom.
1
DifficultOpposite614 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’ve seen some version of this headline every week since inauguration, but we’re still falling. And even when he’s gone we are stuck with all the assholes that supported this shit so idk what happens after him anyway
1
steeleleets Apr 1, 2026 +1
There is no bottom. It is scandals all the way down.
1
Jealous_Breakfast996 Apr 1, 2026 +1
There's articles like this every week
1
chunkah69 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Same article that’s been posted the last year and was posted every day of his last presidency. What happened? He stayed in office.
1
Jet_Xcountry Apr 1, 2026 +1
You guys would be stupid to believe these headlines. Do you guys not have family that are trump supporters? They still love him. He's still "owning the left". Get out and vote.
1
SookHe Apr 1, 2026 +1
I still can’t believe how many people still don’t get it, what is happening is the f****** point. He is being allowed to do this by a bunch of billionaires who own him and are intentionally crashing the entire country into a tree so they can rebuild it as their techno fascist state. Trump gets to be the face of their little project purely because he is so unlikeable, when he finally is gone and dead, everything will be blamed on him while they take control of the system they let Trump break, washing their hands in front of the multitude claiming ignorance of his crimes. All the as stuff will be blamed on a corpse while nothing continues to hit get fixed
1
Patient-Strawberry83 Apr 1, 2026 +1
That is what happens to a child r*** regime
1
thisisjustascreename Apr 1, 2026 +1
Evergreen headline
1
FawnintheForest_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
I wish
1
Real-Ad-1728 Apr 1, 2026 +1
How many times in the past year have we seen some version of this headline?
1
Ambitious_Parfait385 Apr 1, 2026 +1
**WANTED!!!!** Need spines for congress members, we'll take used or deformed. **We'll pay any amount.** No requirement to fit in body. **Will also trade for goats and sheep.**
1
nitelitecafe Apr 1, 2026 +1
Other than MAGA tools, grifters and gangsters, haven’t the rest of us figured this out years ago?
1
snakelygiggles Apr 1, 2026 +1
when the president is wantonly breaking local and international laws, its not a presidency, its a dictatorship.
1
Tall_Opportunity_521 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Can it hurry up and slam in to the concrete?
1
starcell9000 Apr 1, 2026 +1
"guys we PROMISE! this time Trump is DEFINITELY in trouble!"
1
Futanari_Paradise Apr 1, 2026 +1
He will never get below 33%.  That is the number of people that are addicted to the cult no matter what he does.
1
ganon228 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah, people keep saying this and then nothing f****** happens
1
RebelliousInNature Apr 1, 2026 +1
Let us know when you hear a loud squelchy thud.
1
fasterthanslow Apr 1, 2026 +1
Unfortunately I keep seeing an article with a title similar to this every week for the past year… nothing ever happens
1
IntelligentStyle402 Apr 1, 2026 +1
What took so long?
1
mickalawl Apr 1, 2026 +1
Ill believe it when Fox viewership drops to zero. Otherwise its the most popular "news" station in America telling a dim witted core of 70 million voters that this is actually good and gods plan. No reason to belive these people wont fall for the lies on going idefintly into the future given thr many many promises broken over the years and hand waived away by Fox
1
Osirus1156 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I believe has somehow managed to no clip through the bedrock and we require a full reset to get the country back into working order.
1
shit-trapper Apr 1, 2026 +1
>Meanwhile, CNN’s Harry Enten powerfully points out that Trump has been on a steady, inexorable decline for months, and is now a net 45 points underwater with independents. That’s worse than Richard Nixon during Watergate. Yeah but nixon didn't have the SAVE donald trump act up in congress.
1
lexbuck Apr 1, 2026 +1
It has been in a freefall since 2016 but unfortunately, half of voters think he’s doing great
1
Salty-Perception3576 Apr 1, 2026 +1
At what point will he fall no further? I see these headlines every day, but nothing changes.
1
DarrenEdwardsVR Apr 1, 2026 +1
Because he thrives in chaos. He's cultivated it that way. People rise and fall regularly and all take repercussions that he does not. He's also in that 2nd year phase of all Republican presidencies where his actions have effects so people are fired, but the president is not responsible, but also still a great judge of character. Plenty of people left that will fall on their swords until he dies.
1
ThoseOldScientists Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’d prefer if Donald Trump was in free fall.
1
sec713 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Let me know when it's happening without his sycophant safety net.
1
AdHopeful3801 Apr 1, 2026 +1
So what? It's not like his being unpopular makes him not do stupid, dangerous things. If anything, this unpopularity increases the stupidity and danger.
1
ToNoMoCo Apr 1, 2026 +1
is the a copy and paste from last week?
1
No_Remove459 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Won't be a free fall until the Senate and house become democrat. Before that same old.
1
128-NotePolyVA Apr 1, 2026 +1
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Can’t they just use the 25th amendment now and task the VP with reducing chaos?
1
panelbeater352 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Been in free fall and none of our elected officials or judges are doing anything about it.
1
Phronias Apr 1, 2026 +1
He's probably made so much money out of his time in office he doesn't give a damn anyway.
1
Paolosmiteo Apr 1, 2026 +1
As if he gives a shit. It means nothing to him. Continued chaos to ensue.
1
meatball402 Apr 1, 2026 +1
So? He's still president. He's still in control of the US government, and has managed to supplicate the entire republican party and the Supreme court. The democrats don't have the balls to stop him. The support of the people hasn't mattered in decades.
1
Dorkseid1687 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Doesn’t matter until he is in prison
1
Clbull Apr 1, 2026 +1
I don't see a third impeachment against Trump succeeding unless the Republicans end up with hefty losses in the midterms. Democrats would need majority control of the House to file a motion to impeach and a two-thirds majority in the Senate to convict and ultimately remove Trump. This would mean the Democrats would need a net gain of 4 seats in the House and 20 seats in the Senate. And I don't see them flipping deeply red states, even with the current situation in Iran. What's more likely is that Trump gets removed by the 25th Amendment after midterms and JD Vance takes over, in an attempt to salvage the party's reputation before 2028.
1
phoonie98 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’ve heard this many times before
1
2Autistic4DaJoke Apr 1, 2026 +1
Just now? Haven’t we hit rock bottom and bounced off it yet?
1
woodwog Apr 1, 2026 +1
Given that the House, Senate, and SCOTUS have all capitulated, this is equal to the US being in free fall.
1
Heteroimpersonator Apr 1, 2026 +1
A free fall in an abyss created by republicans in Congress.
1
I_might_be_weasel Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not relevant if he's doing more and more extreme things and continuing to get away with them without repercussions.
1
jkvincent Apr 1, 2026 +1
Been hearing about his downfall now for 11 years.
1
BerryLanky Apr 1, 2026 +1
And he’s dragging America with him. The only people coming out of this unscathed are the billionaires. The middle class will be screwed over for decades by the damage he’s done
1
gavinashun Apr 1, 2026 +1
Ah yes. The article that is written every 2 weeks for the last 10 years but ends up being BS. Articles like this always fail to mention his approval with Republicans is still over 80%.
1
FakeCrash Apr 1, 2026 +1
Been reading this headline over and over for months now
1
7oom Apr 1, 2026 +1
Sure but look at his net worth!
1
Phyncerberus Apr 1, 2026 +1
At best this is just opinion. NOT news
1
medorian Apr 1, 2026 +1
He's also featured in the Epstein files.
1
BlurryRogue Apr 1, 2026 +1
But apparently we're just going to let him take the country down with him
1
Ulric19 Apr 1, 2026 +1
April fools! It doesn't matter (very much). He'll keep being crazy, trying to distract us from the Trumpstein files.
1
Formal_Ad288 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I can't believe none of us saw this coming...
1
NotAlwaysGifs Apr 1, 2026 +1
And unfortunately we appear to all be along for the ride.
1
MarcusSurealius Apr 1, 2026 +1
It wouldn't be so scary if rock bottom didn't have a big red button onbthe ground.
1
neutrino4 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It should have never been. He should have been in prison.
1
Hinthial Apr 1, 2026 +1
The splat needs to come on!
