We passed that all the way back in his first term.  I got to watch the real-time shift from "he's a strong leader who picks the right people for the job" to "he keeps getting betrayed by bad and incompetent people trying to slow him down." I don't know about that. The other day this old guy started chatting with me. Was telling me about how he reads the Bible every night, how Trump needs the be given a chance because he's doing things differently. Watching out for future generations by making other countries pay to do business with us. He was talking about how people are so unhappy in the world right now but he was extremely optimistic that Trump was going to out this country on the right path. It was really Interesting to see how dramatically different that guy viewed everything. I think there are a lot of people like that old man.

i just keep hearing the same f****** line from my (former) best friend. "Yeah he \[Trump\] sucks. But I'm more scared of the democrats." He has made MILLIONS running cheerleading gyms; he enjoys risque humor and works daily with young girls and homosexuals. His #1 overarching concern is being cancelled for some risque joke. He has been convinced by Jordan peterson and Joe Rogan podcasts that the democrats are responsible for trigger-finger woke culture. He somehow doesn't give a single f*** about ANYTHING ELSE.

Go spend a week in the South. You'll see plenty of Trump propaganda and supporters. Overwhelmingly so in the places in which his policies personally farm then the most. Crazy shit Edit: a word

Anecdotal but here it is anyway. My wife and I were doing small talk with the admin assistant at our daughter’s dental place. Well put together lady in her late 50s, cordial, efficient at what she does. Topic shifts to how strange everything has been lately and, I don’t know if she needed to make a confession, she blurts out: “I voted for Trump. I did vote for him, for the economy, but I’m not supporting any of the stuff he’s been doing.” I feel bad because i vividly remember just staring at her with a drooped lower jaw, until my wife saved the conversation with some pleasantries of some sort. I snapped out of it and ended up fixing her printer so she was happy. But man… So I guess more and more people are starting to realize they’ve made a mistake. If enough of those people sit out the mid-terms, or even swap their vote for a blue Congress, he and his band of ghouls won’t be able to executive order their way to full dictatorship.

I live in Tennessee. It’s all I see.

I wish this was my story. I work as a delivery driver in a mostly rural route and still see Trump 2024 signs on people's lawns. I can chalk that up to laziness but the 2028 signs baffle me.

There are a lot of things to that, but to put it bluntly his grift had died before politics. His bankruptcies had finally caught up with him. No banks would lend to anything he was involved with. By all reports he had far less money than he was saying. He had a bunch of personal issues that were going to cost him money in court. His name had been devalued, and his media career was all but dead. He needed that presidential campaign to embezzlement funds from, and then the presidential office to sell access to.

Yup need the Senate to convict. Impeachment only works if he is convicted in the Senate by 60% of the vote.  That being said, the Democrats should be pushing impeachment proceedings and running on promises to convict for senators. 

I think we're long past the point where we need to stop looking to the government to save us from...the government. No one is coming to save us. 

I lost all hope of that after Jan 6th. After the senate was threatened the cowards could not stand up and remove him.
