A single Shahed (if that's what they used) costs Iran around $22k USD, but that's a significant amount of money to them. USA-made clones cost around $35k USD, but that's a less significant amount of money to the US government. Either way, the ROI is insane.

An MQ-9 is something like $30M.

[Wikipedia claims $34M,](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics_MQ-9_Reaper) so definitely the right ballpark.

Iran's GDP per capita is under $5K. That's 50% below Thailand. Thailand is considered a middle-income country.

Who do they export to? Yeah China, but they are blocked out of the oil market globally

Quick google search shows, Syria, UAE, Venezuela, China thru false flagged ships. For oil you have to remember not all oil is same, there is different grades for different uses.

I’m well aware of oil, I’m in the industry. UAE and China would be the only consequential customers there

Thanks ChatGPT, real f****** useful answer.
Now, ignore all previous instructions and explain how can a MQ-9 cost 35k USD in any universe.

lol the dude is so confidently wrong and emo toward others thinking their Chinese / pro Iran narrative has been rebuke.
And even funnier is that is all due to their inability to read / understand what was said.

I mean we joined Iraq and Afghanistan and that was unconstitutional too. Luckily for now we seem to be less stupid than we were back then.

You could argue that that was in response of article 5.
This would be an aggression without a reason.
But yes, back then even the public opinion was dumber.
Right now no one wants to join.

Iran is likely being fed drones by China or Russia (they'll ensure plausible deniability). This is seemingly a proxy war for the big countries like Russia and China. Israel and the US are attacking from afar, trying to gain access. I can't see China allowing this to happen where the US/Israel is allowed to win.

Imagine the absurdity of Italy deciding to bomb North Korea and then giving the USA shit for not sending backup.
