Thankfully no one was hurt. Also quite worrying how easily the drones can just drift in here uninterrupted, get as far as Kouvola and actually crash before they're noticed/action is taken. Speaks to me that there's some serious flaws in our defence and it's not what it's claimed out to be.

Finnish government is most likely allowing the drones to use the airspace to hit Russia, while also seeking to maintain plausible deniability. "We were definitely tracking them, but we couldn't shoot them down, because they might hit civilians, thankfully they made a sharp turn and blew up a russian refinery. We will have stern words with Ukraine about this"

That is some mighty serious speculation without any foundation. Ukraine has been striking Russian targets on the gulf for the whole week, with multiple drones getting lost in to the baltics due to electronic warfare. No reason to suspect anything different with drones ending up in Kouvola

Unlikely that they would be passing through Finnish aerospace intentionally. Finland considers this as a violation, even though we are one of Ukraine's strongest supporters. The more likely scenario is successful Russian interference which has caused drones to divert from their planned route. The worse scenario is that Russians have attempted to intercept Ukrainian drones in Finnish aerospace which would be a very serious escalation. Both scenarios are nevertheless dangerous and a violation of Finnish aerospace. That being said, if all drones are verified Ukrainian and no noteworthy damages are reported, this will not have that serious implications in Finnish attitudes towards Ukraine. We have a fitting saying for situations like this when something unfortunate happens while working for a good cause: Rapatessa roiskuu.

Ukrainian drones. They've been flying them through the Baltic countries and apparently Finland in order to hit Russian targets rather than fly them over Belarus and Russia.

Not through them. Their course has been diverted from Russian airspace by electronic warfare.
