Earn Your Hope by Going to a No Kings Day Protest Near You | Once we manage to drive this guy from power there’s something left to look forward to, but only if we all show up.
"Earn your hope." That hits different when you realize this Saturday (March 28, 2026) is projected to be the single largest day of protest in U.S. history, with over 9 million people expected. It’s not just about venting anymore; it’s about showing that the "3.5% rule" for political change is a real thing. If you’re tired of just scrolling and feeling hopeless, being one of those 9 million is how you actually move the needle.

I’m expecting 75 million. It certainly feels like we’ve heard from every one of the Harris voters.

No Kings Day, hits harder every year, a reminder that power only shifts when people do.

I've actually talked someone I know who voted for TFG three times to go with me. Maybe more people are beginning to see the light. We can hope.

Op is right. Everyone who can make these protests needs to show up and be counted.
If anyone here didn't vote in the last election this is a perfect opportunity to help correct that.

If you have to constantly convince people how important a protest is, it’s probably not an effective protest. Especially when it’s the third variation and people are still asking what’s the goal/ask.
And that’s what has happened on essentially every post I’ve seen about this. It’s not that anyone thinks No Kings is bad, it’s more so a question of why and what.
It’s more of a parade than a protest at this point. What’s the ask and how is this protest going to pressure anyone into meeting the ask?

I worry about this every day as well.
A question we should ask ourselves is: do we really think Dump or Musk or Ellison or Thiel give a flying shit what any of us peasants think? does Congress care at all what their constituency thinks?
I am 100% FOR these protests, but the dark part of my mind whispers *no matter how many of us there are, does anyone in power even care what we want?*
What really is our recourse when these criminals are so far above the law that they can be *actual pedos* and we can't be rid of their choices or power over us all?
Good and Pretti and their families have not had even the most superficial farce of justice, and these scum continue to walk free.
This is not doomer, do-nothing-then talk.. and it's not rhetorical. It's a real question. We all know what's right, and this ain't it.
What do we have to do to stop this from going on and on when the people who have the power and responsibility to act stay silent and complicit?

Political change starts with a motivated, mobilised, mass of people.

There still needs to be a goal beyond consciousness raising. Occupy failed to elect political leaders. They also didn't achieve any actionable goals. I think the problem is that protesting in the UK is far different than in the US.
