I judge them more if they voted for him more than once

I'll give a pass on 2016. But to do it again, let alone 3 times? F*** off

None of them get passes for any of the times they could have voted. Trump was already a known piece of shit long before his first run and he started his campaign with grabbing em by the p**** and building a wall. So yeah, anyone that ever voted for him or supports him in any way can go f*** themselves.

Pretty much everyone who lived in the NYC area during the 80s knew exactly what a piece of 💩he was and has continued to be. The rest of the country (well,50%) learned after 2016

Writing people off if they make a mistake is bad. That vibe is only harmful. But 3 times is a pattern not a mistake

Anyone who voted for him after J6 is a traitor. Anyone before a bigoted moron

I will refuse to associate with anyone who *still* supports him, at least in my personal life.

It's more like I get why white men vote for Trump. The women, the Mexicans who are US citizens, and the free Palestine crowd, they're the much bigger idiots.

I think very little of people who are so self absorbed they didn’t even bother to turn out. Please note that not everyone can get out to vote. Many are disenfranchised and it’s our job to vote to help lift them up so they can participate in the future. For those who just couldn’t be arsed, don’t boo hoo at me when they come for you.

More accountability that someone that voted for Trump?

And they deserve some very harsh criticism at that

ANY ladies who voted for trump. I will never understand it as long as I live, how any female could vote for a guy with 26 sexual assault cases against him. They all can’t be a coincidence.

My mother voted for him three times and told me she did it for my future. I hope wherever she is now she is feeling the full effect of her choices.

My mom voted for him three times. Despite being raped so much in her youth she just stopped fighting back and accepted being nearly choked to death every night. But… it was fake news. Hope she gets into remission for her lip cancer, but I’m still no contact.

This is the precise reason why I think there should be a cap on seniors being able to vote for a future that they’ll never see.

Or politicians creating laws for a society that they will never see.

Yep. Cant vote until 18? Shouldn’t vote if you retire. But the whole, no taxation without representation? ~~except all the US territories of course~~

True. But I like what she’s saying because she is being specific in her own demographic. You can’t tell me a white woman and a Latina woman who voted for Trump are the same or did it for the same reasons. She’s speaking on her own experience as a white woman and how fucked up it is particularly that white women she knows voted for that thing.

I hate when I see Latinos voting for Trump. But I know it’s because of how hard the GOPedo-files hammer abortion during election times.

Is this account real??? 20 posts, almost 900 comments, and it’s only existed for a month. Either you’ve got a serious addiction or you’re a bot. Even the name is kinda sketch.

Hey I hear you, any lady that voted for Trump. But white ladies voted for Trump at a significantly higher rate than any other major female racial demographic. Like 53ish% of white women. Only major women racial demo that the majority voted for him. Next closest was 39ish% Latino women. Black women are chill, it’s like 8%. So ANY women but especially white women. Also Banks is white so it makes sense to call out her own people.

Yes 1000%,amongst the other vile and disgusting behavior he projects towards females especially intelligent females. He must feel threatened. Not to mention cheating on every wife he has had. I find that odd women would support a cheating husband 🤷‍♂️

Willing to overlook it because he's as racist as they are. Also because they thought they were wealthy enough to benefit from a Trump Economy, of course none of them are billionaires so no.

I don’t generally entertain these posts, but I think Elizabeth is on to something. Effie at her core was a good person. But, she was naive, undereducated, and subject to manipulation, like many Capitol citizens. I think in many ways she represents the early crop of Trump voters who just went along with the status quo and didn’t put real thought into what consequences their vote had. Now that everything has become identity politics, and most people who voted for Trump are negatively impacted by his selfish policies, many of these people may project MAGA, but are truly struggling inside but hiding from the MAGA community they’ve surrounded themselves with. It’s worth noting that Effie is never heard from in book 3, so she either died for being associated with Snow’s enemies, or for standing up to him. Either way, the dictator she once enabled more than likely ended her life.

It’s been a long while, but I remember in the book she was there in the bunker and miserable because she lost all her capital comforts. She starts to come around, but it takes a while
18
Civil_Zone8137 3 days ago +19
That was the movie. There was another character in the book that wasn’t in the movie. Effie more or less replaced her (forgot the character’s name) and the prep team who was also cut from the movie. I think I read Suzanne Collins loved what Elizabeth had done with the character and wanted her in the 3/4 movie so they swapped her in and others out.

Azalus1 3 days ago +3
Not in the book in the movie. She actually doesn't play as big a role in the books. It's amazing what they did with her in the movies because they really expanded her character and made her heroic.

Effie actually shows up in the end of the book to help with Katniss' prep for the execution of Snow, but Katniss notes she looks dimmed and the top Capitol ally says they had to work extremely hard to keep her from being executed by the new president.

I think it’s time for a re-read of the books. I remember my last read through I really enjoyed Mockingjay far better than the first read. Thanks for clarifying!

pinkkabuterimon 3 days ago +3
I can highly recommend a reread, I just finished one myself after reading the latest one (which broke my heart in the best way) and found myself appreciating the series even more.

I’m about to start them again. The trailer for Sunrise on the Reaping has been excited. I LOVED that book and can’t wait to see what they’ve done for the movie. The casting is amazing. I skipped through the last chapters of Mockingjay this AM and sure enough, little Effie hiding in the corner as they prep Katniss for the big execution. Not sure how I’ve forgotten. I never liked Effie in the books, probable why I didn’t care when she showed up again! lol.

These white women wont even start to look elsewhere for candidates until something affects them personally, and then they’ll just vote for another Republican. They hate anyone with a D in front of their name, even though they don’t know what the core policies are. And more than that they hate women in power. A black woman?? They would die bf voting for a black woman.

It's ironic that you say that, when the Democrats' slogan on Listnook in the last two elections was "vote blue no matter who".

Trump voters are acting like hunger game characters. They all think they’re district 1.

I’ve actually heard it explained fairly well as a defensive pact. Yes the strong man will harm HIS women somewhat but he protects them from other men who they fear more. For an example see the charming recording of Mel Gibson telling his spouse what should happen to her if she goes out like that.

People act like there were 30 people to vote for. By the time the Primary is over most people's candidates didn't make it. I dont judge people for voting because its choice 1 or 2 and its usually pretty shitty either way
