Eminem is a known attendee of AA meetings. It's great he found what works for him. -For anyone suffering from Alcohol Use Disorder, please look into naltrexone and the Sinclair Method. It can actually take away the desire to drink. I have 8 years alcohol free thanks to [this method.](https://www.trytsm.org)

I actually just started a glp-1 and that’s helped to silence my cravings for alcohol, which is amazing.

congrats! there's serious discussion about developing GLP-1–based drugs as anti-addiction medications. so, you're not the only one who has noticed those types of side effects.

I attend AA meetings and am sober 7 years now. It's free.  While I can testify it works for thousands of people around the world, there are also other options: SMART recovery, rehab etc.  Main thing is to get help if you are having problem drinking - it will get really bad if you're an alcoholic. Accidents, Job-loss, divorce, bankrupcy, jail, hospital, death.   Normal drinkers can drink or not drink. It's not central to their lives. They have control over managing it and stopping if they don't want to drink.  Problem-drinkers NEED to drink. They think about drinking when not drinking. They have problems when they drink (e.g. falls, fights, accidents..) but they cannot or don't want to stop. After a while, they will lie to themselves, everyone and their doctors/therapists.  If you suspect you're a problem-drinker or alcoholic, please do yourself a favor and get help quickly. It gets worse, much worse.

Naltrexone makes me vomit and really ill sadly. I’ve been trying to quit for months now. Each time I go longer and longer without drinking so I’m getting there at least. Those new GLP meds are supposed to work really well for cravings, I hope Medicare will cover them soon. I’m not saying don’t try naltrexone. It’s c**** and very effective for many people. The only way I got off opiates was with Suboxone. It was a miracle drug. Unfortunately, at the time I was living in Ohio where there was NO kind of assistance. The Suboxone clinic I went to was new and an hour away. I went knowing I was never going to pay the bill and had to sell a guitar to pay for the prescription. This was as miserable as the addiction itself. I still dream almost nightly about playing that guitar or running around frantically trying to find it.

I have at times been a heavy drinker, a few a day and a bender every now and then. It’s easy when it’s also completely free due to my constant travelling and airport lounges. It is also something that’s kind of ingrained into the work culture where I live for everyoneto drink after work. I digressed a bit there but after I had a pretty nasty spinal injury I was put on Norspan 20mg patches (buprenorphine). Since I came off them I have not wanted or even been interested in alcohol. Like 0 and it’s been 2.5 years, I’m glad that it’s much better for my health.

Curtain Call 2 and Music to be Murdered by were good. Not Encore good. But good. Definitely better than Recovery lol. Killshot was still able to kill MGKs career.

Yeah, but it's the hits from his post recovery albums. I can't really call Kamikaze or Revival a great album, but when you take some of the songs from those, his movie songs, death of slim shady, Etc, and a couple others and put them in curtain call 2 the album stands up on its own with his old stuff. I think part of the problem is his style from the 2000s can't really be done in the same way anymore. No one is shocked when they hear outlandish lyrics anymore. The internet has desensitized us to it. Coupled with getting past the bullshit he was going through at the time. He had to move to from crazy lyrics to pure skill. I wouldn't go far as to say his music career isn't interesting anymore though. Dude can still get off the couch and drop a banger when he wants to, it just takes something to piss him off the bring out the best.
