I've got a dislike for that guy because he once said "I don't smoke with homeless people" when someone I know invited him to smoke. Fella was technically homeless at the time, but was also taking care of himself and had a few pounds on him that day. It is pretty well known homophobia, misogyny, and transphobia is common certain in black male communities. That is one of the reasons Trump increased his percentage of black male vote in the 2024 election. (Don't get me wrong. Trump only gained ~10% more votes in black male demographics with total only being about 20%. Also gained about 5% of Black women vote to 10%.) Also heavy anti-immigrant sentiments in the hispanic community was the biggest change in demographic. Tons of bigotry based on which country of origin an immigrant is from as well as the overwhelming sentiment to pull the ladder up behind them. The hispanic voting demographic was nearly 50% for Trump in 2024. ( It was 50-48 for Trump in Hispanic male demographic) The Hispanic vote was only 28% in 2016 and 36% in 2020. White men and women were still the demographics Trump won the most but he did lose some of white women vote from 2020 to 2024.

I saw the BBC interview with Congressman Massie yesterday and he said he endorsed and voted for Trump in all 3 elections, including 2024. He said he knew that Trump was part of the “Epstein class” yet believed Trump would take them all down, despite there being zero incentive for him to do so and no evidence that he would even consider doing such a thing. By 2024 Massie had to have known from his investigation into the Epstein files that Trump was involved, the same files he repeatedly demands be released. He could’ve endorsed any of the other Republican nominees in 2024, yet he chose the one he knew was involved in a global child sex trafficking ring. Why? I can’t help but believe that if Trump manages to get on the ballot for 2028 that Massie would endorse him and vote for him yet again, even if Massie gets his wish and the unredacted files are released and it’s proven, as any sane person suspects, that Trump himself was deeply involved. I believe this victim of Epstein would do the same thing too.

There are only 2 reasons people would have voted for trump: bigotry and stupidity. I'm willing to accept a combo of the 2, but I don't entertain anything else at this point. This lady was either a bigot who latched onto Trump's Epstein rhetoric during the election to pretend he had some form of morality to convince herself she wasn't voting for the bigotry, or she was so dumb that she believed he would take the Epstein stuff seriously despite him losing multiple court cases involving different types of sexually inappropriate behavior against women. The best case scenario is the latter.

People who are abused young are conditioned to see the behavior of abusers as normal and familiar. That's why it's common for them to be abused again and again as they get older. That's without taking into account any of the mental health conditions that they're predisposed to, which often have symptoms like brain fog, amnesia for upsetting content/information, black and white thinking, etc, all of which, again, make them easily manipulated by abusers. Survivors who continue to be manipulated and herded towards things that harm them need empathy and intervention. Yet despite that still was a documented acquaintance of his years after that investigation. I get Epstein's crimes were ignored or covered up that spanned multiple administrations and both state and federal government but Trump was easily the most well known friend of Epstein for some time. How f****** stupid can you get? Or was it that your xenophobia was stronger than your disgust for sexual abusers? Her dumbass votes for in f****** 2024 most of the public information around his involvement with Epstein was well reported on at that time. Generally curious.
