I agree that VEI 3 is a good guess, although I am not an expert.
It is eventually listed, if it is big enough, and if you have patience to wait for the update, here:

Fair play to the emergency services for their efforts, personally I'd be runnng n the opposite direction from any such volcano.

Ignored posted signs declaring the area prohibited. Leave them there til after it calms
...why should rescuers risk themselves going into an erupting volcano zone for such idiots?
