In fact, it is** [**a federal crime**](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/593) **for anyone in the U.S. military to interfere in elections in any way.** More specifically, it is [a crime](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/592), punishable by up to five years in prison, to deploy federal “troops or armed men” to any location where voting is taking place or elections are being held, unless “such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States.” The law, which dates back to the end of the Civil War, originally also allowed troops at the polls when necessary to “keep the peace,” but that exception was removed more than 100 years ago. >**It is** [**also a federal crime**](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/594) **for anyone, including federal agents, to intimidate voters.**

I'm sure the attorney general will prosecute anyone that violates that law. Or the GOP controlled Congress will appoint a special prosecutor. And the courts will react well before the crime has been committed.

blue states need to make it clear to those agents that they will be prosecuted under state law if they intimidate workers at the polls.

We should form a group of people standing in front of ICE agents blocking their view with posterboard or plywood or something. Show people they have allies

Stop trying to convince ppl this will happen….  edit: my point is there are hundreds of thousands of voting locations. ICE is what 20-30k agents.  Media is whipping up a story to scare ppl. We must get out and vote.  It may happen in some areas but they cannot intimidate all.

This stupid ass comment is why Americans have done nothing to stop your pedo representative from sinking the world into a recession, destroying your country, protecting those that raped your children and more.

I agree itd be a waste of time and money but its not to catch illegals its meant to be voter intimidation to suppress votes Probably specifically in Blue cities of swing states

As a white man, I don’t give a f*** if ICE is at the polls. But as a human being, I care that the secret police who have shot and killed two Americans (that we know of), illegally detained Americans, and have flaunted the rule of law and deported protected immigrants is at the polls. They’re not intimidating to me, but I can’t imagine how it would feel if I was in a “target” demographic.

Bingo. Exactly this. Even if you’re not in a target demographic, they’ve proven that they don’t give a c*** about probable cause. They don’t need a reason or excuse to arrest anyone they want to.  And by the time it gets sorted out? Oopsie, too bad, polls are closed.

Enforcement of made up rules and laws that Trump signs as an executive order. For instance, in most states you can stay in line and vote if you're in line before the 'polls close'. They could simply chase everyone out in every district. Or, they could literally replace the state voting machines with machines of their own that are totally 100% legit. Or, they could decide to start arresting people like they do ALL THE TIME and shut down the voting locations once they find too many people have to be arrested. Or, you know, stand over your shoulder watching you vote with a gun to your back.

Putting aggressive MAGA cosplayer law enforcement at polls WILL suppress POC from going to the polls. Add to that no mail in voting, extreme gerrymandering, locking up polling places in Democratic neighborhoods tighter than the idol at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark and making it difficult for married women to vote. They are all strategies to cheat.
