Hopefully Ukraine will beat the shit out of Russia soon when the 90B gets through. I’m so sick of Putin doing nothing but spreading misery into this world, same with his slave Trump. They are the definition of worthlessness.

By every objective measure, Ukraine is already doing this. This will only accelerate the shit-beating even further.

God I love the EU for what people (left, right, centre) can achieve from talking and agreeing on a common sense approach.

After thousands of years of war, the peoples of Europe are peacefully uniting to achieve a better future for all. That is truly wonderful!

It's the one silver lining in this era of madness, Europe is more united than ever.

From the Atlantic to the Urals \[at least when Russia can be brought in from the cold\], from the Mediterranean to the Arctic Circle, peace and prosperity for all. A New Rome!

Rome was an aggressive empire build on war and slavery. Europe is the complete opposite. A union of peace, build on the rule of law and peaceful cooperation. Maybe one day, when it leaves imperialism behind, Russia can be part of it, i would welcome that.

Agreed! No place for empires in our collective future. Just the idea of civilization.

When this conflict stopped being a fast military operation and transformed into a long term attritional competition, Russia's prospects became dismal. Europe sucks at fast military response. But once it becomes a question of institutional inertia and economic mass, it is second to none.
