I think it is for the plan to send back Syrians to their homeland?

Wich is really f****** stupid because syrians are the best integrated refugee group in Germany. With the highest rate of working and paying taxes(60%).Wich is the highest rate of all refugee groups in all of Europe so it's accutally a huge achievement in integration. To add to that they also have a high rate of working in fields the Germany desperately needs workers(doctors, nurses, construction and gastronomy). And Merz wants to send 80% back. Very Smart! Sure get rid of the accutal criminals among them(Wich is not higher then in general population afaik).

There is a probability that, against the background of this news Iran's blackmail regarding the Strait of Hormuz has failed

I am suggesting that if pipelines and logistics routes run from Iraq through Syria directly to the Mediterranean Sea the Strait of Hormuz ceases to be indispensable

That would take a decade to build? By which time we'll have increased our renewables even more?

It seems like there is already an old infrastructure there that can simply be restored. Unfortunately even though it’s not building from scratch it could still take a significant amount of time

But it's unnecessary? Norway has plenty of oil - they just don't want to take it out. You know. Because of the impending climate change that apparently no one else gives a shit about.

Then Iran would just attack it and make it inoperable just like they attacked the East-West pipeline.

That's true to some extent, but it wouldn't be that easy. The skies over Syria and Iraq are protected by allied air defense and any damaged logistics routes can be patched up somehow

ISIS and Al Qaeda just have to put on a suit and the West forgets all their horrific crimes against the Yazidis.

It's a bit like the IRA in Northern Ireland.  At the end of the day, you have to let them put on a suit and engage with the process, otherwise you don't actually want peace.
