Can’t get it from Russia, can’t get it from Middle East, where else are you gonna go?

Norway actually supplies 30-35% of Europe’s natural gas, primarily through pipelines. Various nations in Africa (Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, etc) are also emerging suppliers.

Venezuela… oh wait.

Most of their oil goes to China because it's really heavy crude and it's hard to process. I don't think Europe would ever even consider taking it.

More LNG demand from Europe? Could this mean higher gas(LNG) prices in the US leading to an impact in domestic grid electricity bills?

The impact it will have on domestic natural gas prices is limited by the US' LNG export capacity. We only have so many terminals that can freeze/liquify the gas for export and they have already been running at near capacity for years, so any increase would require building new terminals, which takes time (and in that same time, new natural gas production also comes online, mitigating increases in exports). This is more of a story of a larger share of US LNG supply shifting from other buyers to Europe (at higher prices).

Europe really should quit oil/gas as fast as it can.

From what I can tell, European imports for natural gas were falling. Then it went up in 2025. Liquid natural gas imports rose by a double digit amount. The US share of those imports are rising. So it doesn't look like they're quitting natural gas. [source the second graph](https://ieefa.org/eu-gas-flows-tracker)

The last winter was unusual cold. Last time we had such a cold winter was 13 years ago. Also more and more coal powered electricity plants go offline and cannot yet be covered 24/7 by renewables. So natural gas powered ones need to fill gaps.

Perhaps if the war in Iran ends Russia may also lose profits because Iran will again provide competition for it

Best outcome for the World to be honest. If the middle east is peaceful again without this regime, the third largest gas reserve (Iran) along with other Persian gulf countries could provide enough for the world to kick Russia out of equations.

And how do you think this will happen now that Trump made the regime in Iran even stronger?

I'm just stating what could have been the best scenario and outcome for the world. Trump not having a strategic plan for this war indeed made the regime stronger in many cases. But with someone more competent, this could have been a major blow to Russia and IRGC together

Work on renewables distance from the US

Build more nuclear power plants. Expand renewable energy, resume trade with Russia... diversify energy suppliers so you don’t get dragged around by the U.S. Get rid of those idiotic regulations.

Wait so the reason we removed maduro and are at war with Iran is so that people buy our stuff instead?
