Supposedly, this film was made for a private party held in honor of Windsor McCay (animation pioneer and creator of *Little Nemo In Slumberland*). Nobody knows definitively who the animators are, but they apparently had to have it developed in Cuba because film labs in the US refused to process it. Ward Kimball (legendary animator and one of Disney's Nine Old Men) claimed that the film was divided up into three parts and each given to different studios. He also claimed that legends like Max Fleischer, Paul Terry and the Mutt & Jeff Studio were all involved in its creation. None of them saw the finished product until the night of the party.
