It's malicious prosecution, and I suspect they know it won't stick.  I'd even go so far as to say they don't want it to stick and set precedent for all the 8646 stuff. Another case of "the process is the punishment" aka "you can beat the RAP but not the ride".

Except, for whatever small amount of cold comfort this provides, he hasn’t won. Everyone hates him. Everyone. Every member of his family, his cabinet, his administration, Congress, everyone. And in the moments of lucidity between dementia fade outs, he likely has sharp seconds of clarity where he realizes yet again, everyone hates him. He couldn’t buy anyone’s love, no matter how hard he tried. He can buy their time, he can buy their worship, he can buy their bodies, but he can’t buy legitimate love. He knows that the people that idolize him are so, so far beneath him that he couldn’t possibly consider that real love. So the praise and accolades and macaroni pictures on the fridge are just pity and platitude, as ephemeral as could ever be. He knows they’ll abandon him the moment he turns his back on them. He has no loyalty in his life. And his own goddamned secret service couldn’t care if he lives or dies. He knows he didn’t earn anything he has today. He knows he is the worst president in history. He knows that the black man that preceded him is a thousand times better in every way and every action that he could possibly take to try to cement his legacy is just a testament to that. He wants his name on buildings and his picture on passports because he knows the world will celebrate the moment the push notification hits our phones. Every mention of his name for the next hundred years will be in paragraphs listing atrocities, detailing horrible things we as a nation did, listing out exemplars of dictators and fascists and incompetent weaklings. All he has left is rage and revenge. He’s picking at scabs and making them bleed because it’s the only thing he can feel. He’s not going to feel happiness another day in his life. He’s not going to feel love. Every hug from his children comes with a check they hope he cashes very soon and then they’ll never have to smell his rancid rot, figuratively or literally, ever again.

Thankfully Dumpster Fire Donald won't be able to take any of those billions, fake and second hand awards with him when he is 86ed from the earth soon due to natural causes. However, his vindictiveness, mean spirits and closet full of skeletons will accompany him straight to hell.

There is a sadness in the fact that once dementia hits, his conscience won’t torment him about facing the mistakes he made.

Don't insult babies, man.  Babies are expected to gain intellectual function. 

Could have been the decision between a relatively normal life and whatever the f*** I'm experiencing.

I’ll shed many tears for democracy and freedom of speech if he goes to prison. But not a single tear for the man himself.
