Ginsberg was an empty headed beatnik dipshit and a pedo apologist. Howl sucks.

He’s one of a handful of people that literally changed the 20th century’s zeitgeist.

Their entire comment history is full of arguing over all sorts of stuff. Seems like they just want to fight, they probably can’t even back up the wild statement in their previous comment

Ginsberg was a huge supporter of NAMBLA.

How exactly is it a "wild statement". It's well documented.
Why are you defending it?

What about your second sentence? “Howl sucks”? I do consider that to be a wild statement.

Literal whataboutism. Good strategy.

It isn’t whataboutism because it’s literally about what you wrote in your original comment. I think you need to look up what that word means before you go around using it…

You started the f****** sentence with "what about" and proceeded to sideline objective pedophilia to make a claim about a subjective poem.
That's textbook, jackass. You a big Polanski fan too?

Okay, if you want us to have this discussion down on that level, let’s do that. I have never, in my comment or anywhere else, defended Allen Ginsberg, which means you’re using false information and lies in your reply.
What I will say, and this is completely unrelated to Ginsberg as a human being, is that Howl, as a work of art, is very good and very influential. An “empty headed dipshit” does not write poetry like that. But I suspect your view on beatniks is clouding your judgement.

I'll never understand how people are so giddy to look past his pedophilia. Disgusting f****** pig.

In a book owned by one of Dylan's friends. Doesn't bolster my hopes of finding a treasure like this in a thrift shop or old library stacks.

If I were a billionaire, I would use my money to buy things like this and immediately destroy them as soon as the auction concluded.
