It's a shame that it's available only on OOP DVD's.

I was able to find it last fall on the Internet Archive. Unsure if it's still there.

It's still there. This one and 80's version of Twilght Zone are the only high profile TV shows that I seen only in VHS quality. But in case of TZ, at least, we have an explanation.

What was the explanation for TZ?

All was done on video. Editing, dubbing, special effects. It exists only on videotapes.

Yeah but professional grade videotapes aren't *that* bad.
They aren't amazing and they won't blow you away - but unlike VHS/Beta where they only recorded half the interlaced frames to save bandwidth, they did record the full image.
So basically DVD quality. You'll never get a HD/4K remaster, but nothing stopping them releasing it on DVD if it never actually came out on that format.

Total blindspot on this one. I'm always on the lookout for obscure TV & this one never got on my radar. Thanks for posting about it.
There's some A list talent in the cast too which makes it being an obscurity that much more surprising. I'm going to have to try & track this down.

Wait, I think I got this on DVD about 20+ years ago, but only liked a couple of episodes and thus never finished it.
EDIT: I just remembered the DVD sets I bought were actually titled "Perfect Crimes", seemed similar though!
