"U.S. Magistrate Judge James Mazzone issued a nondisclosure order on November 30, 2022 in the probe of Patel which stated that the court had "reasonable grounds to believe that disclosure will result in flight from prosecution, destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses and serious jeopardy to the investigation."

Yes I realize that, but eventually, EVENTUALLY, fundamentals do catch-up. I'm wondering how much true inflation has contributed to this valuation rise as well. Consumers definitely aren't getting paid to match inflation. Consumer spending has been propped up by lobsided spending icreases at the top, but this is not sustainable at all.
All the economic indicators are worsening, despite this admins attempts to decrease the numbers of data points, constant revisions of previously released numbers, and blatant misinformation. During a period where strong unified leadership is needed, we have late stage pillaging by the most corrupt admin we have ever seen.

Well inflation and the devaluing of the dollar are related and tied to one another in a way, but when talking about nominal levels of the stock market, typically you look at the nominal vs real dollar value change.
Because the Trump admin has vocally said it is trying to devalue the dollar (and has been successful) the real dollar increase in the stock market since he took office this time around is between 2-4% total (depends on the week).
In other words, almost the entirety of the rise in stock/index values is due to the decrease in the value of the dollar.
I'm not so sure fundamentals (assuming you mean company financial etc) have any "catching up" to do in this way, because there simply hasn't actually been any meaningful increase in value created in the first place.
100% with you on pretty much everything though. Every major historical indicator is nearing "oh shit" territory, and if I were to say I was worried, that would be way underselling it.

Yeah, I was speaking more about fundamentally what is keeping our markets propped with companies continuing to report growing earnings, particularly at the top. I get the K-shaped economy and how its playing out right now, but long term it's not sustainable on any level. Consumers are hurting big time right now and discretionary spending will continue to decline. Yes, part of the USD devaluation is adding more to this discrepancy because NOBODY wants to hold cash and are continuing to pour into assets.
Nobody knows man, but I really think stagflation for the next few years is our best possible outcome.

yungsta12Mar 24, 2026
+5
Eventually fundamentals will catch up when discretionary spending hits the bottom line of all these companies reporting earnings. It's been getting more skewed to the top, who are becoming more asset rich with everything being propped. This is not sustainable and the cracks are showing these past few weeks. This isn't even counting any of the long term affect from this war.

Your actions do not make you a good or bad person. Instead you are already a good or bad person independent of your actions. The law is supposed to put bad people in their place and it is supposed to protect good people. So a "good person" getting prosecuted for his crimes is a violation of the order of things. Kash Patel is just maintaining the tradition of the FBI's complicity in Epstein's child sex trafficking enterprise which was active since the Clinton administration.
Presidents in both parties, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden - and dozens of members of Congress - have all been knowingly complicit in covering up the involvement of US intelligence and federal law enforcement with Epstein's child r*** and trafficking enterprise.
This has always been about more than just covering Trump's ass. This has and continues to be about covering up the CIA's and FBI's ongoing knowledge, enablement, and complicity in Epstein's child trafficking - which is also a black eye for every Presidential administration since Clinton, which has allowed it to continue without opposition.
>I Was Told Epstein ‘Belonged to Intelligence’ And to Leave It Alone.
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/i-was-told-epstein-belonged-to-intelligence-and-to-leave-it-alone
Alex Acosta, US Prosecutor for the Southern District of Florida who minted the outrageous sweetheart deal for Epstein, did so because US Intelligence (e.g., CIA) and federal law enforcement (e.g., FBI) had been using Epstein for years - effectively making them participants and enablers in his child sex trafficking enterprise.
The 2008 deal was made at the end of George W. Bush's second term - meaning this had been going on for the entirety of his Presidency. Obama was no better, more focused on expanding unconstitutional surveillance by federal intelligence and law enforcement than in doing anything to challenge the outrageous Epstein deal. After eight years, Trump came in, and his stooge, Bill Barr, had Epstein dragged in and executed while in federal custody. And then Biden came in, found a complicit judge to invent a reason to seal the case for four more years, and continued to do nothing to reform corrupt US intelligence and law enforcement operations.
Robert Maxwell, and then Ghislaine Maxwell, made millions selling Kompromat on US elected officials and their patrons to Israel's Mossad and Russia's GRU.
And the GRU and Mossad have ever since used that Kompromat as leverage on US elected officials (both Republican and Democrat) to their own advantage.
If you have ever wondered why so many presidential administrations and members of Congress have been so slavishly devoted to Israel and soft on Russia - this is why.
Not only Trump and Epstein's clients need to be dragged into court, prosecuted, and put in prison for child r*** and trafficking. But also former and current leadership of the CIA and FBI, for their willful culpability in allowing Epstein to continue his crimes against children for decades.
And the ongoing threat to National Security will not be resolved until the totality of the Epstein files are made public - without redaction - and the complicit collaborators in Federal Law Enforcement going back literal decades are arrested, tried, and put in prison.

Lying gets you anywhere apparently I've learned after a life around sociopaths.
Wish I didn't have a conscience, seems so much easier on the soul.

We could all be rich and worry free if we could only get rid of that pesky little thing, empathy, so we didn't care about who we hurt along the way.

Well...part of the problem is that "we the people" allow, and always have allowed these types to do what they want, instead of banding together to remove them from the society they are purposefully damaging...its hard when approx 1/3 of the people on "the peoples side" are easily manipulated and 1/3 don't do anything....

Why don’t Republicans get Cannon to release the information Smith says he has proving Trump had a hand in orchestrating January 6th? Then we can put all the hearsay to rest.

So it's super above board that he runs the FBI now.
I'm sure the fact that he fired the Iranian counter intelligence team because they were involved in a Trump investigation the week before we started bombing them is just more above board stuff.
Nothing to see here, folks.

In the near future, Patel and Bondi will be sentenced to prison for treason and fraud. I, for one, can't wait for the day. Oh, and the next president will revoke your fake pardons. You know the pardons from the convicted felon.

Blatant attempt to rewrite history here. These guys were committing crimes, and the FBI was attempting to discover them. Bottom line. There was no weaponization here and they f****** know it.

It's funny because the right will insist this means the old FBI was using lawfare against innocent Americans but all it really indicates is that Kash Patel was doing some questionable things and might be even less qualified and even more corrupt than we realized.

None of these people have any f****** qualifications or extensive background in their positions. Kash, Karoline, Erika, the list goes on. These bozos are such poorly picked puppets. Youd think they would’ve invested in more seasoned actors.

How did he get confirmed if this was known? Did democrats vote?
1

Of course the Democrats voted. But the GOP has a 53 to 47 edge in the Senate.
Murkowski and Collins broke party lines and voted against Patel. Every other Republican voted to confirm.
All 47 members of the Democratic Party Caucus voted against his confirmation.
